Karsum always knew the body he was forced to inhabit upon inprisonment in the Dark Aether was never going to last. Already broken and patched together when he found it, it would not be long before a new body was needed. While building the Warmongers in strength and numbers, Karsum and his trusted Acolyte sought to build a new body, crafted from the finest Dark Aether materials.

He would eventually have a use for the body, after his near-death at the hand of the invading Eternal Empire. His new form has improved powers and strength ten-fold, but without his Staff of Chaos he is trapped within the void and still only at a fraction of his power.
