Why was this posted?
A lot of mods that get cancelled often don't get posted to the disappointment of fans. We posted it because while it's unfinished, we thought people would like to take a look, see what was done, play around with what content there is, and maybe learn from it. I think it was a good move since the majority of people are happy that we did post it.

Why "You may not copy, or use icons, code, or anything else from this mod without permission."?
It's because code, and art, comes from people no longer on the team.
I cannot in good faith make a judgement on whether or not they'd like their art/code outside of the mod, whether they'd want credit, or just don't care.
