The sparkling gold BTs (the floating ones, not the swimming ones) show up more than a few times in Very Hard mode, and in my experience, patrol in quick motions around the BT area which can catch you unawares. They take a TON of ammo to bring down, seem to be immune to the bola gun, and seem to move too fast to cut their cord, so I've found it's best to just try to avoid them. I've run into them (amongst other places) at the abandoned factory near Craftsman, the ruins north of the Geologist, and just north of the Distro center west of capital knot (once you're heading back after completing the chiral network). All on Very Hard mode.
shooting the bowla in a Mule head will instantly knock him out.
Not only do they not weigh you down, they actually lighten the load. Saw a loading screen tip saying:
"The more chiral crystals Sam collects, the more he will be aided by their floating capabilities, effectively reducing the weight of his load. Every 1000 cg of chiral crystals collected will reduce Sam's burden by 1kg."
(2) Sandalweed makes your steps much quieter and the oxygen mask works the same as holding your breath.
(3) If a BT senses you, remain calm, crouch, hold your breath and move away from where you were. Going in the direction the BT is coming from is a viable option when doing this, just avoid colliding with it and you can pass right by it. Don't overdo holding your breath or you'll make noise. Use firing range drills to practice.
You can enter full vehicle with extra cargo/gear, as long as it fits within backpack straps. So you can carry:
-equivalent of two L packages in the backpack;
-up to 4 S packages attached to suit;
-one piece of gear on tool rack;
-anything stored in pouches, depending on what pouches player has on them
And still be able to drive a full truck
Not fun. Wouldn't recommend.
