In my understand, 'adjacent' include both left and right, and 'different' means 'left' or 'right', so the input like 'abb' should be true. But the example not include that case clearly. That makes me confused.

According to this post, the 'different' means the char should different between left and right both.:steamfacepalm:

The table was especially helpful, I didn't realize that I had to also check left to see if a character was completely isolated.
