Customizable Dice

Beskrivelse
Customizable Dice with swappable faces for use in your Tabletop Simulator Mods!

My goal was to create a Dice Forge-like die where you can physically change the individual die faces, and feel the satisfaction of the process by including some animation.

This is the perfect accompaniment to your dice building game designs!

Key Features:
- Animated swapping of die faces.
- Included custom die faces so you can upload your own die face images.
- Die frame can be tinted any color for added customization.

If you run into problems, have suggestions for improvements, or just want to say "hi", please comment below or get in touch with me through email.

What happens if I have two of these dice? I'm cutting and pasting them and it seems like they can only handle six possible faces in play, even if you have multiple dice

Any chance of getting a version of this for other die types? 4, 8, 16, 20? There might be a change needed for the way it works, like a tool you drop the custom face on instead of on the die itself as dropping a face on a d20 might be hard to manage.....

This is great! It would be amazing to be able to get the value of the face currently facing up from a script. Currently if you get the .rotationValue you get the original face value.

Something really novel. Well done.

Where did you get the models, for the frame and surface? Did you make them yourself?
The thing I was thinking of is to have different kind of dice (at least d6, d8 and d10) where the surfaces can easily be changed or colored, to dynamically adapt to the players playing. For instance, the first player die but instead of relying on external web service that generates a layout image,; directly be able to change the die surfaces.

@Shep if I find the time, I might try creating variations for the different sides, but I don't think these implementations have any real world applications for board games. As much as possible, I try to implement real world components into TTS. Example: I have no idea how a customizable d10 will work in real life.

@Baryonyx Yeah, it's definitely a niche component, but I thought it would be a fun component to implement.
