Do you really think your VR looks perfect, with or without a high-end rig?

Hahahaha, no son. You're horribly wrong. It can be far better, without losing performance. Do this in your steamvr.vrsettings file. You're welcome.

Intro
SteamVR runs an auto benchmark utility whenever you launch VR. This sets the overall experience you will have as it averages out the gpuSpeed numbers, which gives the Horespower value. Even if you have a 3090 with a 12900K getting a constant 3000 or higher value, you will never be able to go back to that value after setting it to 15000 because it just looks that much better. But do note that you WILL have to reset your resolution in SteamVR back to your headset's native resolution.

The more values of 15000 you have, the more benchmark runs will have to be done before it starts to lower the quality.

I'm dead serious. My original reason for editing this value was to fix an issue with quality of my Vive Pro 2. I was simply doing testing. With the 1080 Ti I got around 1500 for my score, but my Cosmos Elite had better quality than my Vive Pro 2. Even after getting the 3080 and 5900X I have now, it still looked horrible. Worse actually because the benchmark tool doesn't even ramp up your CPU or GPU at all. How do I know this? My current scores were between 120-450. HOW?! Well, that's due to the multi-monitor power saving limiter in Nvidia Inspector to only let my GPU run at max power when I'm running games, or the GPU is at 30% utilization or higher. So that's how I know the stupid benchmark utility screws people over. Hell, even with the limiter off I was getting between 860-2840, when it should always be around 2800. So yeah, I finally found the issue that has been plaguing me for so long

Also, don't put the file on Read-Only. Trust me, you don't want to put your headset on if you do. Trust me. I did so that you don't have to (Spoiler alert: It looks like an original gameboy screen blown up 100x, seeing every single pixel in full detail)

This fix also does NOT break anything. But you do need to immediately drop your resolution back down to where you had it last, so grab that information before you edit the file or it'll be trying to render basically a 20000x20000 resolution while you're going "uhhhh.... wtf" and wondering what's wrong. Don't do that. Just set your resolution back to native.

The Values
In your GPU section of the SteamVR file, replace existing values with the following values (you can copy pasta to make it easier, but remember to add the spacing to the left to match the structure)
