"This is one of many builds that I made while playing a modded 1.3 world on-and-off, with mods such as Calamity, Thorium, and Shadows of Abaddon among others. The Astral Mountain has a temple dedicated to the cosmos, featuring living quarters, astral crystals (ore blocks) embedded into the structure, various celestial totems, and some kind of floating astral artifact.

I initially started this build during hardmode, assembling the base structure with astral blocks (bricks, terrain, and ore to expand the biome). When I cleared the celestial invasion and later most of the superhardmode bosses, I came back to furnish parts of the temple and fill in some holes that I had left.

The emptiness of the balconies above and hallways below reflects the vast cosmos above this place. Combined with the jarring difference within the living quarters, the temple's emptiness also serves as a reminder to its visitors that there is more to the world itself than the vast void beyond it...

(Given the furniture additions that 1.4 brings, I imagine that I'll be eager to make another iteration of this astral temple in another world, using the celestial sets in more detail - not to mention the cosmilite set and whatever else I find.)"
