Recommended Killers
Here is a list of Killers who have a strong play around the basement, some more than others:

1: Trapper

Can block pretty much all exits from the basement with his bear traps, keep in mind however that Dead Hard (as of now) CAN go through your traps so don't place them at the doors, instead plant them at the window and the corners around shack. For Trapper,it`s recommended the Killer Shack as basement,if the basement is in the main building,he is not as scary there (depends on the map).
Recommended add-ons:
  • Bloody Coil (Iridescent)
  • Honing Stone (Purple)
  • Trapper Sack (Purple)
  • Tension Spring (Purple)
  • Fastening Tools (Green)
  • Secondary Coil (Green)
  • Tar Bottle (Green)
  • Wax Brick (Yellow)
  • Bear Oil (Brown)

Recommended maps:
Suffocation Pit,Shelter Woods (MacMillan Estate)
Azarov`s Resting Place,Blood Lodge,Gas Heaven (Autohaven Wreckers)
Dead Dawg Saloon (Grave of Glenvale)

2: Hag

Unlike other killers she does not have to play super territorial around the basement, some add-ons make her super nasty to face and almost impossible to escape from her, only one triggered trap is enough to unleash hell on the survivors. Just pray that they don't have flashlights.

Recommended add-ons:

  • Mint Rag (Iridescent)
  • Rusty Shackles (Purple)
  • Bloodied Mud (Green)
  • Cracked Turtle Egg (Green)
  • Dried Cicada (Green)
  • Swamp Orchid Necklet (Green)
  • +Every Yellow and Brown add-ons that have the same effect as the Green ones but as expected are less powerful.

Recommended maps:
Midwich Elementary School (Silent Hill)
Family Residence,Sanctum of Wrath (Yamaoka Estate)
Mother`s Dwelling (Red Forest)
The Pale Rose,Grim Pantry (Backwater Swamp)
Father Campbell`s Chapel (Crotus Prenn Asylum)
Azarov`s Resting Place (Authaven Wreckers)
Dead Dawg Saloon (Grave of Glenvale)

3: Bubba

Probably the most lethal killer from this list, and probably the least that requires add-ons for help, most of his add-ons give small buffs but doesn't drastically change your playstyle like other killers. Tantrum is still useful if a survivor jumps in a locker before you catch him,as now he will have to guess when to leave the locker, otherwise he risks either being hit by the chainsaw or being grabbed out of the locker.

Recommended add-ons:
  • Award-winning Chilli (Purple)
  • Light Chassis (Purple)
  • Rusted Chains (Purple)
  • The Beast`s Marks (Green)
  • Chilli (Yellow)
  • Homemade Muffler (Yellow)
  • Knife Scratches (Yellow)
  • Primer Bulb (Yellow)
  • Chainsaw File (Brown)
  • Spark Plug (Brown)

Dead Dawg Saloon (Grave of Glenvale)
The Pale Rose (Backwater Swamp)
Azarov`s Resting Place (Autohaven Wreckers)
Coal Tower,Ironworks of Misery,Shelter Woods (MacMillan Estate)

4: Twins

Once hooking a survivor in the basement, leave Charlotte near the basement and hunt with Victor, pretty simple right? Except no,you are punished heavily for using your power, and smart survivors will take Victor hostage leaving you to Charlotte only who has M1 as her attack, slugging will be necessary while playing Twins, also like Trapper,Dead Hard can cuck you out of your power,so beware of which survivors are using the perk (90% of survivor playerbase uses DH anyway lol) and anti-slugging perks like Unbreakable and We`re Gonna Live Forever.

Recommended add-ons:
  • Silencing Cloth (Iridescent)
  • Forest Stew (Purple)
  • Madeleine`s Scarf (Green)
  • Stale Biscuit (Green)
  • Bloody Black Hood (Yellow)
  • Ceremonial Candelabrum (Yellow)
  • Tiny Fingernail (Brown)
  • Toy Sword (Brown)

Recommended maps:
Coal Tower,Shelter Woods (MacMillan Estate)
Azarov`s Resting Place,Gas Heaven (Autohaven Wreckers)
The Pale Rose,Grim Pantry (Backwater Swamp)
Family Residence (Yamaoka Estate)
Dead Dawg Saloon (Grave of Glenvale)
Midwich Elementary School (Silent Hill)

5: Trickster

He is sort the opposite of Trapper,Trickster is scarier at main building basements and not so much at the Killer Shack.Overall he is a bit more obnoxious to deal with than someone like Huntress at loops except those which have high walls, also be aware if survivors wanna take knives, give it to them, injure, down them.If you`re lucky, you can use main event if someone was just rescued from the basement, but overall it`s just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ power.

Recommended add-ons:
  • Iridescent Photocard (self explanatory)
  • Cut Thru U Single (Purple)
  • Trick Blades (Purple)
  • Bloody Boa (Green)
  • Fizz-Spin Soda (Green)
  • Ripper Brace (Green)
  • Melodious Murder (Green) [mini Iron Maiden]
  • +Every Yellow/Brown add-ons that are the same as the green ones but they are weaker obviously.

Recommended maps:
Shelter Woods (MacMillan Estate)
Gas Heaven (Autohaven Wreckers)
The Pale Rose (Backwater Swamp)
Dead Dawg Saloon (Grave of Glenvale)
Midwich Elementary School (Silent Hill)

6: Demogorgon

New players unfortunately will never get to experience this killer after he has been removed to purchase since Nov.17 2021. Moving on with the guide, how can Demo defend the basement you ask? Simple, portals, that`s how he moves around the map. Some survivors will want to remove portals, but that only makes them waste time which is good for you in the end.

Recommended add-ons:
  • Leprose Lichen (Iridescent)
  • Upside Down Resin (Purple)
  • Lifeguard Whistle (Purple)
  • Thorny Vines (Green)
  • Mew`s Guts (Yellow)
  • Sticky Lining (Yellow)
  • Viscous Webbing (Yellow)
  • Rotten Green Tripe (Yellow)
  • Rat Tail (Brown)

Recommended maps:
Coal Tower,Shelter Woods,Ironworks of Misery (MacMillan Estate)
Autohaven Wreckers (all maps from this realm)
Mother`s Dwelling (Red Forest)
Family Residence,Sanctum of Wrath (Yamaoka Estate)
Dead Dawg Saloon (Grave of Glenvale)
Midwich Elementary School (Silent Hill)

7: Myers

How can Myers have a strong basement play? By 99% his Evil Within and if a survivor comes near, boom,Tier 3 and insta-down.

Recommended add-ons:
  • Fragrant Tuft of Hair (Iridescent)
  • Lock of Hair (Purple)
  • Hair Bow (Green)
  • J.Myers Memorial (Green)
  • Judith`s Journal (Green)
  • Hair Brush (Yellow)
  • Blond Hair (Brown)
  • Memorial Flower (Brown)

Recommended maps:
Midwich Elementary School (Silent Hill)
Dead Dawg Saloon (Grave of Glenvale)
Azarov`s Resting Place (Autohaven Wreckers)
Shelter Woods,Suffocation Pit (MacMillan Estate)
Recommended Perks
1: Agitation
The most obvious choice,as you will carry survivors at your normal speed as normally you are slower than them when you carry a survivor, and also synergizes well with 2 other perks that i will mention.

Unlocked at Lv.40+ in Trapper`s bloodweb.

2: Iron Grasp
On it`s own is useless, which is why you pair with Agitation, even if sometimes they might wiggle out, next time you down them near the basement,it`s an guaranteed hook.

3: Starstruck
Combined with Agitation it can scare survivors, since Agitation increases your Terror Radius and with Starstruck, everyone near you will become Exposed.

Unlocked at Lv.30+ in Trickster`s bloodweb.

4:Infectious Fright
Only worth using if you are using Starstruck, otherwise, not worth running it for the most part.

Unlocked at Lv.35+ in Plague`s bloodweb.

5: Bamboozle [Bubba specific]
I included this perk for Bubba cause it makes windows less of a pain to deal with.

Unlocked at Lv.30+ in Clown`s bloodweb.

6: Mad Grit
If you think you will face very altruistic survivors, this can basically make their hits count for nothing when carrying someone.

Unlocked at Lv.35+ in Legion`s bloodweb.

7: Territorial Imperative [Demogorgon specific]
It`s only worth on Demo basically because on someone like Hag,you may get notified but if they don't trigger a trap,it will be for nothing, with Demo, you can teleport immediately.
It may or not have been inspired by Otz video with this perk on Demo.

Unlocked at Lv.35+ in Huntress`s bloodweb.

8: Devour Hope [Demogorgon specific]
Again, like the previous one,you can only really use it with Demo since for Devour Hope, you need to leave the area of the hooked survivor and you can do that with portals, hell even defend it if they are not aware of it`s location.

Unlocked at Lv.40+ in Hag`s bloodweb.

9: Whispers
If you need help tracking survivors in general,it can help but also bite back since it will still be activated even around the hooked survivor.

10: NOED (No One Escapes Death)
This is basically your backup perk if survivors did not cleansed/booned all totems, not much to say about it,it is the only second chance perk for killer so do not waste it while it`s still active.

11: Insidious [Bubba specific]
If everything else fails, you can always just try your luck with Insidious Basement Bubba :P

12: Monstrous Shrine [Insidious Bubba specific]
Clearly the most OP perk in the game,BHVR pls nerf 1111!!!!!!!111
Conclusion and my thoughts
1: Pray for altruistic survivors, smart survivors will just do gens and get out quickly.
2: Slug and camp when necessary.
3: Do not get tilted.
4: If you are feeling like you get angry and what not, stop playing the game, and try another day,it`s not the end of the world my friend.
5: Try to not make it too obvious that you wanna hook everyone in the basement.
(This doesn't matter if you are playing Insidious Bubba)
6: Even on maps that are not that great, still, try your best.

Overall,i really hated doing this challenge, but BP is BP and some lore unlocked too, nothing much else to say, have a nice day and enjoy DBD.

Here, have a nice butt shot of Spirit. ;)
