By Naraku
If you are the type of player that gets angry when you've lost a match and just want to tell the person that defeated you to die, don't worry! I've got just the guide for you!

Option 1: Don't be concerned about what other players think
The reason a lot of players will come up with excuses such as lag, not playing their mains or not trying to win is because that is what they want their opponent to think. They will believe the player they just lost to is thinking that they are not good at the game and will be unhappy because of it.

That is why people use these excuses after losing the game, but have you ever thought about what would happen if the person that lost didn't care about what the opponent thinks? That's right, they wouldn't be annoyed and would move on with their life!

Realistically, nothing bad comes out of your opponent thinking you are trash at the game. What would they do? Would they tell the world about it? Would they get you banned from the game? Would they continue to make fun of you for the rest of their life? No, because your opponent does not care. They might mock you for being angry at them or might try to annoy you just because they want to upset people, but they inevitably forget that you even lost after a few minutes so there's no need to worry!

Losing a match doesn't make you the worse player or even a bad one at all. It could just mean you weren't using a weapon you're experienced with or the opponent was using a weapon they were really skilled with, but even they probably lose matches as much as you do when they're fighting other people. Don't forget that there's always the possibility of being put against them a second time and winning!
Option 2: Leave the lobby
When losing the match, a lot of players get mad about it and prefer to let the opponent know about it by using emotes like the thumbs down or the facepalm, or will invite the opponent to a custom room to say mean things in the chat. Sometimes, even the winner will do the same thing because they are also annoyed about the match that they just experienced (or they're just generally toxic and want to be negative but this isn't common).

The best way to avoid doing any of the previously mentioned things is to just simply leave the lobby. You can easily do this by spamming the C key to speed through the match results and XP gained before you or the opponent can say something that'll just annoy somebody further. If you are mature enough to not care about what the other player does or thinks, you can just say nothing and leave the lobby as you normally would.
Option 3: Realise you have lost nothing
It is fair to be a little annoyed at losing a match when you have lost something on the line, but once you stop and realise that you have not lost any money, xp or anything else you gain from winning, you understand that there is no reason to be upset about losing.

You might be thinking "What if I lose ranked? Don't I lose elo?" and the answer to that is "Yes, you do indeed lose a small amount of elo when you lose a ranked match". The only bad thing about losing elo is you move down the ranks as a result, making you fall further from what you're trying to achieve and closer to what you just fought to get out of. Even though this might sound bad, it is honestly not that big of a deal! You don't lose glory, you're still able to achieve higher ranks and you'll be able to get easier wins once you start fighting players from the lower ranks once more. So if you stop and think about the problem with losing the match, you will realise that there is actually nothing wrong with losing, therefore not even being upset about it anymore.
Option 4: Step away from the computer
If you are in a bad mood and feel the urge to react with an emote that implies negativity or invite somebody to a room to say something harsh, feel free to move out of keyboard/mouse range and let your stress disappear! If you have even a fragment of maturity, you will calm down shortly and will no longer want to be toxic. This helps avoid the potential of you and your opponent having an unfriendly conversation about who is the worst player when literally nobody but you cares.
Option 5: Punch something that isn't valuable or fragile
It's not often, but some players get so angry at the game that they feel the need to just let their anger out and punch something as hard as they can. This is a good coping mechanism but not when something is broken or somebody is hurt, so it's always best to punch something that is meant to be punched or just won't be affected by the force like a punching bag or even your bed. As long as nothing is broken and nobody is hurt, feel free to punch as much as you like until you calm down! I mean, you don't want to break something important like your computer, right?
Conclusion:
Congratulations! You have learned a few examples of good ways to avoid raging at random people on a video game! Now for the love of god can you guys please just stop getting angry at me every time I win a match i'm just trying to have some fun and i can't go one day without somebody telling me to kill myself because I used greatsword or axe one time like come on they're not even that annoying to fight and i'm not even important seriously why do you need to tell me that you could have won with a different character i literally do not care please stop being so mean you are sucking the fun out of what is actually a very good game 😢😢😢😭😭😭😭💔💔

this guide is great! I don't get heated when I lose but I always skidaddle when my opponent invites me to a room cause I don't trust them to not scream at me in the chat. emojis are whatever cause they really don't impact me that much but I still like it when people congratulate their opponent with them win or lose!
