like remember blood/hollow builds in ds3 before the nerf, same thing is gonna happen here, and it's gonna be useless, instead of you know working a way to balance them
oh and of course dlc weapons are gonna be inbalanced as per usual, I mean not like I wasn't gonna buy the dlc but like, I always like to point it out you know.
It's one thing to have a build based around buff, where you know you invest the stats, for it, it means you can't do other things, or not as good, but this shitty potion it's just a free pass, where there is literally no downsides in using it, "Oh I don't wanna deal with poise", "Oh, I don't wanna deal with equip load", "Oh, I don't wana deal with..."
I can't even understand how they came up with such a stupid idea design
especially when on the other end of the spectrum you've got shit like Malenia's rune which is overbalanced
And so during my playthrough my main and only interraction with the physisk flask was the base shit you get, iirc half heal + guardbreak easier, and it was just fine, I'm really not the kind of player, who likes to cast 7 buffs before doing anything, I just want to get in and deal with the combat itself.
And silly me goes online, try the duelling sign, rows after rows of people just drinking this shitty free pass potion of bullshit, no idea what's the difference between the wavy lines or the flowing lines, at least in sekiro you had a symbol on top of your character when applying a buff, why didn't they bring that back for physiks when they do it for the gideon staff idfk.
But given enough time, this will become an issue for PvP for sure. Give the game 1 or 2 months, and this will start to creep up. Bleed builds and Moonveil are overpowered offensively, this item is overpowered defensively.
Also, this can also extend to any build, not just mages. Imagine a RoB user with the Bull-Goat set. Massive poise, massive damage... it's just completely unbalanced. And I know, technically you *can* still have that with endurance, but at the 120 meta they will have to sacrifice points in other stats to make up for the endurance gain (probably a damage stat).
In terms of PvP... Well, it may be an issue. You can have a caster with that build that spams spells and and moves like Lightning McQueen, but let's be realistic. People are not bothering with that with this new meta with RoB and naginatas.
I would say... let's wait and see what happens. Meta tryhards are not even this creative with their builds. The might never actualy realize they can do this.
Forcing your opponent to either fight a full poise mage with high defenses that doesn't heavy roll or wait 3min for the buff to disappear is just boring and ultimately unhealthy for the game.
I just don't think you can argue that a x4.5 boost for 3min is balanced in any way. If it provided a x1.2 or even x1.5 effect it would still help mid/late game builds since the more Endurance you have the more of a boost it would give you. But making it so that any build, regardless of investment in endurance, can wear a full set of Bull-Goat armor and still light/med roll is just absurd.
