UPDATE - It is extremely unfortunate that we are announcing that DD will not be updated for the foreseeable future. After putting thousands of hours into the mod with Rubba we can no longer justify spending any additional hours to upkeep the mod only to have it break completely with each and every poorly documented SDK update. This decision also comes after it has taken months for OWI to address their server performance issue with no actual solution yet deployed. I know this may upset our fans, but its just not viable for either of us anymore. Hopefully the future will change things, we will update you the second it does.


IMMERSIVE, TACTICAL, TEAMWORK
Dynamic Direction is a mod centered around immersive, tactical, and teamwork-oriented gameplay! The culmination of hundreds of hours of game design and development over two years, Dynamic Direction forces you to think strategically, coordinate, and act fast to win the day in a hardcore milsim-style sandbox!

TROUBLESHOOTING:
Q: When I try to join the server I get a black screen.
A: You will need to wait for the next map or: exit the game, type "Disk Cleanup" in File Search, select your C: drive, select Direct X Shader Cache, and click "Ok".

Q: I have the infinite running man glitch.
A: Unsubscribe from the mod, navigate to your steamapps > workshop and delete appworkshop_393380, then navigate to steamapps > workshop > content and delete the 393380 folder, then resubscribe to the mod using the Steam page.

Q: When I try to join the server I get file mismatched.
A. You have an outdated version of the mod. Unsubscribe on Steam Workshop, Resubscribe on Steam Workshop, and restart Steam.

How to Play Occupation:
The biggest change to Dynamic Direction is the addition of the Occupation gamemode. Occupation is a KOTH-style sandbox which allows players to establish their own objectives (FOBs or caches) to dictate where they would like to fight. In each game an AO will appear as a purple circle and designates where the majority of play will be and if a team gains a significant player advantage in the AO they will begin bleeding their opponent. In this AO players will place FOBs/Caches and their own objectives, maneuver as they'd like and choose attack targets and defensive locations at their own discretion.

Conventional Force Mechanics
- Conventional Forces (MEA, GB, RU, US, CAF, AUS) FOBs are limited to 1 at a time and are worth 150 tickets, so be sure to build them up and defend them.
- CF FOBs and HABs have increased health and are only removed by shovels, so focus on actually clearing the FOB first before trying to remove the radio.
- CF FOBs generate +1 ticket per minute if in the outer AO circle, and +2 tickets per minute if the FOB is located in the inner circle.
- CF Patrol Bases can be placed one at a time, after 10 minutes of in-game time has elapsed. Patrol Bases have a life span of 15 minutes after which they will drain -75 tickets from the enemy team and a cooldown of 30 minutes that starts after they are destroyed or completed. Patrol Bases cost -50 tickets when lost and are only vulnerable to shovels. Only sandbags and ammo crates can be built at patrol bases.

Irregular Force Mechanics
- Irregular Forces (INS and MIL) have had their FOBs replaced with 3 Caches which can only be destroyed by using 2x IEDs or combat engineer charges and do not require logistic vehicles to be built, only 4 players in proximity.
- IRF Caches cost -10 tickets if lost, drain -1 ticket from the enemy team every minute, and generate 50 ammo and build a minute, so be sure to place as many down as possible.

Other Important Mechanics
- AO Player lead bleed stages:
10-14 lead = -1 tickets per min
15-19 lead = -5 tickets per min
20-24 lead = -10 tickets per min
25-29 lead = -15 tickets per min
30+ lead = -30 tickets per min
- Suppression has been completely reworked.
- Players can now only see their Squad and other Squad Leaders on the map
- Revive times have been reduced with non-medics at 6 seconds and medics at 10 seconds
- Respawn times have been increased, rallies are now 60-second non-wave, and FOBs are now 90-second non-wave to encourage players to wait for bandages
- Persistent Ammo is much harsher

This game mode was my favourite... I hope it will go back to its old days... In my opinion, this game is an irreplaceable mode that reflects the realistic war atmosphere and is an irreplaceable mod for experienced players and gamers.
