Welcome! This is a comprehensive walkthrough of all achievements in Granblue Fantasy: Versus. If you are new to fighting games, the RPG Mode does a great job of teaching each character in their respective Free Quests, so do check them out too!

Note: Xbox Controller Inputs are referenced in this guide!

As of GBVS Ver 2.85, the “Granblue Know-It-All” achievement no longer requires DLC characters. The change was implemented on 23/01/2023 and the Ver. 2.85 official patch notes can be found on Granblue Fantasy Versus's Official Website[granbluefantasyvs.com].

You will automatically unlock these achievements as you progress through the story.


A New Journey Begins
Clear the RPG mode tutorial

It's the very first battle you will have upon starting RPG mode.


Unfamiliar Skies
Clear main quest chapter 1 of RPG mode

Obtained upon clearing "Episode 9: Primal Beast Ares" on Amalthea Island.


Skybound Protector
Clear main quest chapter 2 of RPG mode

Obtained upon clearing "Episode 18: True Power Revealed" on Fremel Island.


Veiled Heavens
Clear main quest chapter 3 of RPG mode

Obtained upon clearing "Episode 26: Boundless Delusion" on Auguste Island.


Causality Unhinged
Clear main quest chapter 4 of RPG mode

Obtained upon clearing "Episode 34: The Rose Trial" on Lumacie Archipelago.


When the Dragon's Voice Resounds
Clear main quest chapter 5 of RPG mode

Obtained upon clearing "Episode 38: Skyfall" on The Grandcypher.


Event Horizon
Clear the final chapter of the main quest

Obtained upon clearing "Episode 40: The Absolute" on Pandemonium.


Hard Mode
Unlock main quest chapter ∅ of RPG mode

Automatically obtained upon watching the credits roll after "Episode 40: The Absolute".
You will have now unlocked Hard Mode as well as Episode 40.5 - Episode 50.

Considering how sparse online is now, you will likely have to find someone to cheese the online achievements with.


Backup Please!
Use Request Backup (Online) in RPG mode to join a co-op quest and clear it

Host a backup mission and clear it with an online partner.


Reporting In!
Use search filters in RPG mode to join a co-op quest and clear it

Participate in a backup mission hosted by someone else and clear it.


A Friend in Arms!
Clear an RPG mode quest with a player 2-controlled partner

The partner feature will unlock after clearing "Episode 7: Cruel Encounter". Change the Partner Settings to "Player 2" and clear a quest. You will not need a second controller.

These are other achievements closely associated with RPG Mode.


What Am I?
Get a Vyrn weapon in RPG mode

Each character has a unique Vyrn weapon skin obtainable through Bonus Missions. Just get one for this achievement. You will very likely get one as you progress. More info can be found here.




Luminiera's Blade
Get a Luminiera Blade Omega in RPG mode.

There are 2 ways to acquire "Luminiera Sword Omega", AKA Luminiera Blade Omega. The first is to gacha and draw weapons using weapon tickets, but the rates are abysmally low. I have spent thousands of tickets and have never seen it appear once.

The second way is to progress through Hard Mode until you are once again at the final area Pandemonium. Clear "Sky Realm Adventurer" on Hard Mode for Gran Medals, which can be used to forge "Luminiera Sword Omega" in Siero's Shop.




Skyfarer's Challenge
Discover the Tower of Babyl in RPG mode

Upon clearing Chapter 3, you will unlock the Tower of Babyl in the main menu of RPG Mode. Enter this Game Mode and view the opening to unlock this achievement.


Slime Vanquisher
Defeat 50 slimes

If you haven't already automatically gotten this from progressing through RPG Mode, you can farm the Free Quest "Shiny Slime Search!" in Albion Citadel (Hard Mode).


That's Thirty
Perform 30 draws

You will unlock the Draw feature after completing Chapter 2. Draw 30 times to get this achievement.


Veteran of the Marketplace
Spend a total of 100,000 rupies

I will advise spending your rupies early on for a solid weapon grid. Here's an example.

The SR Weapons shown below can all be bought from Siero's Shop. Don't worry about wasting resources to max your level / uncap / skills, as these resources are easily obtainable later on.




Storyteller
Watch an RPG mode cutscene in Gallery mode

Under the "Story" tab in Gallery mode, view any cutscene for this achievement.




Granblue Know-It-All
Unlock all entries in the glossary's Characters and Terms section

The Glossary can be found under "Journal" in the Main Menu. You will have to complete the entirety of Normal Mode with the Free Quests to unlock all required entries. However, as of Ver 2.85, the “Granblue Know-It-All” achievement no longer requires DLC characters. Therefore, clearing the DLC Free Quests is no longer necessary for unlocking this achievement.

You do not have to read the entry. You only need to view the Glossary and if they have everything required already unlocked, the achievement will pop up automatically.

Considering how sparse online players are, you will likely need a friend to queue with. The system will pair both of you up in a ranked match and you can rematch once more afterward to complete your "Initial Ranking Matches".


Now the Real Fight Begins!
Complete the tutorial matches

In the Online Menu, you will have to complete your "Initial Ranking Matches" first before you can access Online Features. The first 5 matches are against a CPU, and the last 2 require matching up against other online players. You will be awarded this achievement regardless of the results.


Hot Enough for You?
Win an online match

If you haven't won any online battles in your "Initial Ranking Matches", you can enter an online lobby and have a friend help out there. Sit in front of the Arcade Consoles to initiate a match.




Always Strive for Perfection
Save a replay of your match

You can save a replay during the results screen at the end of an Online Match with X (controller).


Communication Skills at Full Power
Use a sticker, emote, or phrase online

In an online lobby, press Y (controller) and select any sticker, emote, or phrase to unlock this achievement. To access the Online Lobby, you have to complete your "Initial Ranking Matches" first.

Edit and save your profile or avatar

The profile can be found under "Customize" in the main menu. Edit your profile for this achievement.

These are achievements associated with the other offline game modes.


One Small Step for a Skyfarer
Beat the CPU on Normal or higher difficulty in Versus mode


Congratulations!
Clear Arcade mode

Any difficulty counts. To make things quicker, you can set Round Wins (Arcade) to 1 in Customize > Battle Settings on the main menu.


Memories Are Beautiful
Use the key record feature in Free Training mode

Key Record is a feature to record and replay an opponent's moves. In Free Training Mode, press L3 (or keyboard equivalent) to transfer control to the opponent character. Press L3 again to start recording. Press L3 once more to stop recording. Finally press R3 once to playback your recording to get this trophy.


Ready to Rumble!
Clear all basic missions in Mission Training mode

Complete all 25 Basic Missions in Mission Training Mode with at least a C-Rank to get this achievement.


There’s More than One Way to Win
Clear a character's skill practices in Mission Training mode

Complete all Skill Missions for one character to get this achievement.


Dragon Knight’s Might!
Clear 10 combo practices in Mission Training mode

Any combo practices across all characters count towards this achievement.


See? I Kept Up Just Fine!
Clear a character's countermeasures in Mission Training mode

Can be found in Mission Training mode > Match-Ups. A minimum of C-Rank is required for this achievement.

All of the following achievements are easily obtainable with a second controller in Versus Mode.


This Is the Result of My Training!
Activate skills 100 times using technical commands

Technical Commands use manual inputs to activate skills. They can be found on the right in the Command List.




Too Easy!
Dodge attacks or cross over an opponent 100 times

Move back and forth an enemy with Dash + RT (controller) to cross over an opponent. Repeat this until you get the achievement.


You’re Wide Open
Hit an opponent with overhead attacks 100 times

The opponent does not need to be crouching for this to count. The fastest way is to move toward an enemy and use LT (controller) until you get the achievement.


No Running Now, Sweety!
Throw an opponent 100 times

To throw an opponent, press X + A (controller) simultaneously when you are close to them.


That Settles That!
Use the skill With Sweetest Skills! on an opponent 10 times in a match

Charlotta's Skill. With Charlotta, stand near the opponent and press ↓ + RB + B (controller).




Petrified by Fear
Petrify an opponent 10 times in a match

Percival's Skill "X-Seele". With Percival, press A (controller) when close to the opponent.




What a Blast!
Activate skybound art 100 times

When the SBA gauge is full, press ↓→ + RB (controller) to activate Skybound Art.




Who’s Ready for a Show?
Activate super skybound art 50 times

When the SBA gauge is full and your health is below 30%, press ↓→ + RB + A (controller) to activate Super Skybound Art.



The following achievements require you to view the SBA follow-up animations of the various characters. The SBA must connect cleanly and up close with your opponent, and it must not finish off your opponent before the follow-up animations or it will not count.

These achievements do not require you to defeat your opponents with the Super Skybound Art. This means that you can dash toward the enemy to fill the SBA gauge and use the Super Skybound Art 2-3 times per round.


Thy Name Is Bahamut!
Summon Proto Bahamut 10 times in a match

Use Gran's Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.




Strength Comes from Our Bonds!
Summon Ares 10 times in a match

Use Katalina's Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.




Feel the Wrath of My Twin Blades!
Freeze an opponent in ice 10 times in a match

Use Lancelot's Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.




Just How You Like It, Right?
Step on an opponent 10 times in a match

Use Metera's Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.




Yggy, Yggy
Summon Yggdrasil 10 times in a match

Use Lowain's Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.




Sic ‘Em, Momo!
Attack with Momo 10 times in a match

Use Ferry's Skybound Art or Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.



Show Me Your Strength!
Unleash the Spear of Arvess 10 times in a match

Use Zeta's Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.




Sabet Odem
Unleash the Great Scythe Grynoth 10 times in a match

Use Vaseraga's Super Skybound Art outside of RPG Mode 10 times to get this achievement.



These achievements require you to defeat your opponents with the Super Skybound Art follow-up animation, or it will not count.

Finish off an opponent with a 3-count pinfall 10 times in a match
