Want to know where you should be spending your resources? Check out this handy, not-so-little (oh god why did I think doing every menu was a good idea) guide that contains only the best and most accurate information derived almost entirely from my personal opinion and shoddy memory!

*WARNING: Contact local emergency services if you experience slippage of sanity, spontaneous fire, or a sudden and desperate desire to remove all the leaves in your general vicinity. It wont help, but it absolves me of responsibility for your poor decision making.*

Leaves Shop
A very basic menu for very Basic Leaves. It's worth pointing out that while there's nothing unique here a lot of these upgrades are actually somewhat relevant for most of the game. But because there's nothing unique all you really need to know is 'buy all of them all the time'.

Let your blowing begin!

Gold Leaves
Unlocks your next leaf. As long as you can access the areas this new leaf spawns you should get this as soon as possible so you have an extra shop to spend resources in.

Tree
Every level of the Tree upgrade improves the total amount of leaves that will spawn each Leaf Spawn Interval. If you care about the numbers, you can check the Stats menu, but basically you just want more.

Fertilizer
Unlike every other leaf-specific Fertilizer upgrade in the other shops, this Fertilizer upgrade lowers the Leaf Spawn Interval, meaning that all leaves will spawn faster the more of this you get.

Leaf Marketing
Makes your Basic Leaves worth more.

Auto Leaf Blower
The first of many! Eventually these little guys will do practically everything for you, but you're a long way from that. Don't expect much of them yet. Because the first part of the game requires a lot of active play, you might not even bother with these until after you start getting Platinum Leaves, simply because you'll be doing 99% of the work until then anyway.

Nuclear Fuel
What else would you power your blowing tools with? I feed my hands Nuclear Fuel every day and my doctor says I must be a massive tool to be doing something like that.

And tools are good so it must be good.
Gold Shop
Found practically everywhere, which is helpful. Gold leaves are your first introduction to the insanity that awaits as your numbers start getting progressively more and more ridiculous.

Platinum Leaves
See: Leaves Shop.

Unlock Leaf Portal
Your first option to prestige. Resets your progress except for things purchased in shops with one or more asterisks (*), but gives you Prestige Coins as a reward to spend in the Coin Shop. The amount of Prestige Coins you gain is determined by the amount of leaves you have blown (you can spend them and they still count), as well as any upgrades you have that give you extra rewards for this (you won't have any the first time).

Worth doing when your rewards for blowing leaves starts to slow down. Also, it's the only way you'll unlock more of the game so, you know, you'll have to do it sooner or later.

Tree
See: Leaves Shop.

Gold Fertilizer
Unlike the Leaves Shop upgrade, this upgrade doesn't increase the speed leaves spawn but rather the chance for specific leaves to spawn. It should be one of if not the first upgrade you get when you unlock a new leaf, because it will make getting more of the new leaf MUCH easier.

Golden Marketing
See: Leaves Shop.

Auto Leaf Blower
See: Leaves Shop.

Nuclear Fuel
See: Leaves Shop.

Leaf Combo
Gold Shop's claim to fame, and it's a hell of a claim. Just getting this will send your leaf blowing rewards through (what you currently think is) the roof. This is the upgrade you wanted Gold Leaves for (if you ignore the Leaf Portal).

Max Combo
Combo Multiplier
These two upgrades do, essentially, the same thing: get you more combo bonus. And they do it well. There's no need to stress over which is better, just get them when you can afford them.

Combo Duration
Doesn't directly help increase your combo bonus, but levels in this will help keep your combo bonus high, instead of having to watch it plummet every time you're not blowing leaves off the screen. And since it's early in the game, that will be often. I'd go so far as to get levels of this more than levels of the previous two upgrades.

Unlock Gold Apples
Fruit (of which there are currently only apples) is practically useless until you reach Obsidian Leaves and suddenly get a use for them. Until then... well, the unlock is cheap, so you'll probably get it and not even notice.
Coins Shop
Unlocked after you do your first Leaf Portal Prestige, which will also earn you the coins to spend here. It gives you access to Printers (which you don't want), Converters (which you might want) and Areas (which you definitely want), along with some handy (and dandy) utilities to make your life easier.

To address a very common 'bug': If you use the Leaf Portal and don't get the reward it tells you, this is (99% of the time) because there are things automatically being purchased. When you prestige (any of the three ways) the game starts your autobuyers as soon as you respawn, even though you can't see your accumulated resources or any of the menus. This is how things are supposed to work.

Unlock Areas
Required to progress past Gold Leaves. If you can buy this after your first Prestige, buy this. If you can't, make sure you can after your NEXT Prestige. It's a bit of an odd upgrade in that once you unlock it once, you always have access to the Area menu, even through Big and Mega Leaf Crunches (though that doesn't mean you always save the areas you pay to unlock).

Unlock Printers
A good way to waste all your Prestige Coins. The only reason for getting this is because it's cheap, but buying the printers themselves is NOT.

Alternatively, you're unlocking this because you're getting into Mythical Leaves, at which point you'll be VERY happy.

Unlock Converters
Your bread and butter for Science Flasks. If you're just unlocking this, it's probably not relevant for you, but it's cheap and it CAN help get some extra leaves if you're feeling desperate.

Auto Upgrade Trees
Auto Upgrade Fertilizer
Auto Upgrade Marketing
Auto Upgrade Nuclear Fuel
Auto Buy ALBs
Auto Unlock Leaves
These are all your 'basic' autobuyers. Pretty much EVERY leaf shop in the game has these things, and these are what lets you spend your time blowing (or AFKing) while all your upgrades get purchased for you. Get them all.

Auto Unlock Flasks
Sort of the same as Auto Unlock Leaves, but for Flasks. Not as immediately useful, since you wont get Flasks until after Void Leaves, but it's cheap.

Printer Adder
Printer Multiplier
You'll know when upgrading printers is worth it (see above). Until then, it's VERY MUCH not.

Increase Converter Count
Increase Converter Output
These are your first two upgrades for converters. The first of many. It's worth dumping spare Prestige Coins into these as you go, but only if you're actually USING your converters.

Prestige++
Not worth the paper it's printed on, and it's not printed on anything.

However, if you're just about to go through the Leaf Portal, you should dump all your spare Prestige Coins here anyway. It wont be a massive increase, but more is better.

Upgrade Discount
GET.
THIS.

Spend as MANY Prestige Coins on this upgrade EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU CAN, unless you've got something else you legitimately need to progress (like unlocking Converters). This makes almost everything else you're going to do cheaper, which means faster. Max this as much as you can each time you Prestige.

More *Basic>Celestial* Leaves
Not worth it. You'll have so many other upgrades for basic leaf blowing rewards that these don't even scratch the surface.

Fruit Fertilizer
Only useful once you unlock Obsidian Leaves.

Fruity Fruits
Never useful.

Fruit Trees
Only useful once you unlock Obsidian Leaves.

ALB <3 Fruits
Cheap, so you'll probably get it simply because there's probably no reason not to.

It's practically useless until you unlock Obsidian Leaves, and at that point you'll have the Fruit Magnet upgrade from the BLC Shop anyway.
Platinum Shop
Time to show those ALBs a little love. ALBs are people too!

The Platinum Shop runs dry quickly as there's no upgrades here that are unlimited, but what IS here is well worth getting.

ALB Speed
ALB Blowing Power
ALB Battery Capacity
ALB Battery Charge Rate
You want all of these.

Your ALBs that've been slowly chugging along will seem so much faster and more effective, and that's because they are. Or will be, once you've got these upgrades. Prioritise Speed, Capacity and Charge Rate.

Blowing Power isn't a bad upgrade, it just doesn't have as much of an effect as the other three simply because of how slow ALBs start out, and how often they run out of charge.

Unlock Platinum Apples
See: Gold Shop.

Slap Force
Not very useful. The three different Trout tools don't let you blow leaves with them (meaning you stop earning leaves, meaning you stop progressing) and the monsters that you slap don't really give you much of a reward for killing them. Coupled with the monsters not doing anything to you, it's legitimately better to just ignore them.

Especially since your ALBs are about to do all the damage for you anyway.

This upgrade becomes more important in later areas, but by then you've probably forgotten it even exists and are just letting your Autobuyers handle it. I didn't even know it existed until I made this review specifically because it's getting automatically purchased so I never had a reason to even look.
Bismuth Shop
Welcome to more ALB upgrades and feeling inadequate, because here's where your ALBs start being able to outdamage you.

That's right. You're not a caster, you're a summoner.

ALB Enemy Bumper
Your ALBs just pass through the monsters that spawn. This makes them not do that, and instead they smash face first into them. Not needed until Celestial Leaves, but when you've got the leaves to dump into these upgrades you might as well get some benefit out of them.

ALB Hit Damage
Makes your ALBs actually do some amount of damage when headbutting things. Largely pointless, but you might as well since your ALBs will be doing more damage than you for a while.

ALB Blowing Power
Make your ALBs blow harder. Probably the best of all the ALB upgrades here.

Unlock Bismuth Apples
See: Gold Shop.
Cosmic Shop
Takes the Platinum and Bismuth shops and rolls all their ALB upgrades into one convenient store. Also has your first damage upgrade, which will do next-to-nothing for you! Aw...

Cosmic Fertilizer

Leaf Damage
Improves the damage you do when you blow leaves and they happen to hit some random monster. Largely useless for multiple reasons (the rewards for killing monsters aren't worth it, your ALBs probably do more damage than you, and you don't NEED to kill monsters yet). Better to just keep upgrading your ALBs to do your job for you instead.

Auto Leaf Blower
See: Leaves Shop.

ALB Speed

ALB Hit Damage

ALB Blowing Power
By this point your ALBs are really starting to get good at blowing leaves, and this is your third shop worth of blowing power upgrades.

Unlock Cosmic Apples
See: Gold Shop.
Void Shop
It's like the Leaves Shop, except boring because by this point you've already seen these upgrades. Except the last two which are hidden until later. Oh, the suspense!

(the completely unjustified and ultimately disappointing suspense)

Unlock Red Flasks
It's a lot like the various leaf unlocks, but with a twist: you only get the new resource via converting this thing into the new thing.

You can get this whenever you like, but try not to turn on the converter for it until you can actually support the production of the new resource.

Tree

Void Fertilizer

Player HP
Player HP Regeneration
These two upgrades wont show up until you purchase the Volcano (!) area. The '(!)' is important. Areas so marked are areas where you take damage over time for as long as you're in there. The idea is that when you unlock the Volcano (!) area, the first damaging area, you can then purchase upgrades that improve your HP and regeneration.

...except that if you don't waste your BLC Coins you've already bought the Perma HP Regen upgrade, which does practically all the work for you, making pretty much ALL defence related upgrades useless until you reach the last areas of the game, at which point you'll be mass buying all the upgrades regardless of what they do.
Red > Strange Science
Because if you don't have glass vials filled with unidentified, bubbling, strangely horrifying substances, you're not doing SCIENCE right!

*Jacob's ladders, lab coats, oversized power switches, and spare body parts not included.*

The Science shops are all the same, with only a few specific differences in the last two, so feel free to assume whatever colour Flask appropriate applies to the upgrade in question.

Unlock *next* Flask
See: Void Shop.

Reduce Converter Resources
Reduce all input cost. Same output reward.

Increase Converter Count
Increase all input cost. Increase all output reward.

Increase Converter Output
Same single input cost. Increase single output reward. Each of these only improve the output of the specific Science Flask they cost.

Together, these three upgrades, plus the Coin Shop converter upgrades, are your first steps to getting free leaves for nothing, as you can convert Leaves to Gold Leaves, Gold Leaves to Platinum Leaves, etc, etc, all the way through to Black Flasks to Strange Flasks (although that last step is quite a big one!). Getting access to the multiple Science shops REALLY makes this work in your favour, as you lower input costs and raise output rewards across the board.

Max these as much as possible, starting with the Reduce Converter Resources if possible.

All Leaves++
A good place to toss spare Flasks, but don't stress about it if you can't afford all the levels. At this point in the game you're getting close to rapid Big Leaf Crunching, so you'll be resetting a lot anyway.

BLC Science
Only shows up once you reach Black Science and purchase the Unlock Big Leaf Crunch upgrade.

GET. THESE. Get as much as possible (BEFORE you do a BLC, you only need them just before but it's better to get them whenever you can so you don't forget). They're not as good as the Exotic Shop upgrades, but they're all you have to start with. If you can afford to unlock the Abyss for Exotic Leaves, do so.

Player HP
Leaf Shield
See: Void Shop.

The Leaf Shield upgrade is the 'better' upgrade out of pretty much all the health/defence upgrades. But that's like saying one terminal illness is better than another.

Black Science
Unlock Big Leaf Crunch
Unlocking BLC Coins and the BLC Shop gives you access to SO MANY upgrades I literally had to split the list into two parts.

This is your second option to prestige. Like the first (the Leaf Portal from the Gold Shop) it resets your progress except for things purchased in shops with TWO or more asterisks (**), but gives you BLC Coins as a reward to spend in the BLC Shop.

Don't just do a Big Leaf Crunch instantly though, because you NEED to buy other upgrades to actually get anything from it. PREFERABLY wait until you have enough Strange Flasks to unlock the next area (The Abyss, for 25,000 Strange Flasks) because that'll give you access to Exotic Leaves which are INCREDIBLY good for BLC reward upgrades. But that's a lot of Strange Flasks, considering their conversion rate, so if you DO do a BLC before then, aim for some of the converter upgrades (and continue reading for the BLC Shop details).

Also remember that the Coin Shop only has ONE asterisk (*), so after your first BLC you'll have to get to Gold Leaves, unlock the Leaf Portal, and start collecting Prestige Coins again.

Strange Flasks
See: Void Shop.

This one has a different name (no 'Unlock'), but there's also a HUGE difference in conversion rate compared to everything else up to this point. Once you start the converter for this, you'll be using ALL your Black Flasks to create Strange Flasks, so if you're not done purchasing what you want from the Black Science shop remember to switch your converter off.

Strange Science
Exotic Leaves
Get this whenever you can, because you'll want it for the BLC reward bonuses it gives you access to. You'll also need to pay for the area unlock, as mentioned.

C++
It's like the Increase Converter Output upgrades, except it works for EVERYTHING. Buy THIS upgrade first whenever possible, not the Increase Converter Output one.

BLC++
A second upgrade unique to the Strange Science shop. As useful as the other one.
BLC Shop 1
You'll spend most of your time working towards these upgrades. Lots of them aren't available anywhere else and there's a lot of automation available.

But not all upgrades were created equally. Lots of these upgrades look good but aren't, and some of them don't even manage to look good.

The 'rule of thumb' for spending BLC Coins is that you shouldn't spend enough to change your actual total, as your total amount is used to gain more. Head into your game menu and swap to the Gameplay tab. Swap your Number Notation option to Scientific (it makes things much simpler) and check out your BLC Coin amount. You'll have a number followed by 'eX', where X is anything between 3 and 300 (the cap for everything in the game).

When spending BLC Coins, don't spend more than that number, minus e4. For example, if you've got 2.65 e29 BLC Coins, buy upgrades up to things that cost e25.

By doing this, you retain a high amount of BLC Coins that are used when using Orb of BLCs or Offline Crunches.

Prestige+++++
Avoid this, unless you're attempting to get as many Prestige Coins as you can for farming Orb of BLCs, and even then don't go crazy with it. It's not worth it compared to just getting more leaves.

BLC++
JUST GET EXOTIC LEAVES.

Exotic leaves gives you a +100 BLC Coin bonus. Per level. Out of 50 potential levels. If you've already spent BLC Coins on this upgrade I'm afraid I have to tell you you've just wasted them.

More Converter Transistors
The first and only decent way to make Converters faster. Which is very nice. Oh, and the upgrades are cheap? VERY nice.

Increase Converter Output
A flat converter output bonus. You'll want levels of this, just don't spend too much. Of note, the more of this you get, the more Science Flasks you'll be able to convert, letting you get more bonuses to your BLC rewards.

Better Printer Ink
Unlimited Printer Ink
Bigger Printer Room
Unless you've unlocked Mythical Leaves, these are a waste. Once you've unlocked Mythical Leaves, Printer upgrades get REAL good.

Get Unlimited Printer Ink first of all, and a few Bigger Printer Room levels, then get some Better Printer Ink as your Printer Printers fill up the Bigger Printer Room. At this point, you'll be getting almost all the leaves you need from Printing.

The 10th level of Bigger Printer Room can store 1 e13 printers. Which will take approximately FIFTY YEARS of leaving the game running to reach (that's not an exaggeration, it literally takes more than 50 years to generate that many printers). I'm hoping for more Printer Printer upgrades, but until then you only REALLY need the 7th level.

Master of Leaves
While the bonus looks pretty large, literally everything you do is to give bonuses to the rewards you get, so this falls short when compared to all the MANY combo upgrades you'll have by this point, without even getting into Marketing or the other All Leaves upgrades.

Get it when it's dirt cheap for you to buy. Other than that, it's not worth it.

Super Fruits
Fruit Leaves
Never useful. Stop looking at fruit upgrades!

Fruit Magnet
Only useful when you're farming Orb of BLCs. You'll probably just get it anyway, because it's practically free.

What The Combo
You'll barely notice it, same as the Master of Leaves upgrade. Get it when it's cheap.

Nuclear Apocaleaves
Somewhat noticeable when you first get it, but hardly needed. Get it when it's cheap, pass on it otherwise.

Moar Gems
You need to get Gems somehow. Don't want to spend actual cash? Get this. If you DO spend actual cash, this takes a dive.

ALB Tools
Once you have this, your ALBs can use every tool except for Shovels and Trouts. Probably the biggest blowing improvement you can possibly get for ALBs.

ALB Pathing
Your ALBs move around randomly. This lets them move around randomly, but a different random. Completely useless.

Area Teleport Bot
Auto Crunch Bot
Auto Crunch Settings
Auto Crunch Timer
Coin Upgrade Bot
Science Upgrade Bot
These 6 upgrades are all required for auto crunching. You will probably end up wanting at least 1 level in each of these. You'll also need the Converter Start Bot upgrade, and Crunchy Coins will massively help (and you should get it anyway). Area Teleport Bot isn't strictly necessary, but you'll miss out on Exotic Shop upgrades without it, and those are the best early-game upgrades for BLC rewards.

Leaves Upgrade Bot
You'll eventually get it so you can constantly autobuy in the Leaves Shop, but when you're strapped for BLC Coins remember that the Coins Shop auto upgrade bots cover all of the Leaves Shop upgrades.

Gold > Benitoite Leaves Upgrade Bot
Get these when they're cheap. Otherwise you've got better things to spend your BLC Coins on.

Autobuy Priority Device
Lets you set options for Autobuying things. Helpful, but you can live without it. Buy it when it's cheap.

Converter Start Bot
Required for auto crunching, also just generally useful. Be careful about what converters you allow to automatically turn on, otherwise you'll lose all your stuff for things you don't want.
BLC Shop 2
Imagine not being able to handle a page with large amounts of text in 2022. How embarrassing.

Crunchy Coins
You only need 1 level of this. Saves all your unspent Prestige Coins so that after you do a BLC you can spend them all again. If you set your Coin Autobuyers to buy significantly under your total Prestige Coin amount you have practically unlimited Prestige Coins for crunching.

Bigger Bag
More bag space means more resources to spend on more upgrades. It also means more Prestige Coin rewards. Eventually, you want this maxed, because it's awesome.

Unlock Unique Leaves
Greedy Uniques
Unique Leaves, once found, provided semi-constant bonuses to a variety of areas. Getting more levels of Greedy Uniques increases the number of Unique Leaves that can remain permanently active. A VERY good upgrade. Get it as soon as it's available.

Unlock Pets
Theres some incredibly useful Pets. Racoono, Penguino, Crabo, Hippo, just to name a few. Get these, then start getting the bonuses that let you use multiple Pets at once. Pets are worth putting the effort in. If you just bought Unique Leaves, this is your next target.

You can unlock the ability to use multiple pets. You get:
1 by default.
1 from the Zoo Necklace artifact gained from the Borb Slot Machine in the Cheese Pub.
1 from the Petless challenge.
1 from the Zoo Ring equipment dropped in the Leaf Tower.
1 from upgrading the Zoo Ring equipment to level 10.
1 from clearing Leaf Tower floor 100,000.

Buy Trading Certificate
Leaf Trader
Trading Education
When you have the resources to start trading, this provides a lot of useful things. It's required late-game in order to get the Beed, Cheese and Mulch required for the Cursed Pyramid. Worth spending BLC Coins on.

Buy Crafting Certificate
Craft Forge
Craft Hammer
Crafting is a mostly late-game thing, but you can access it earlier on to gain (small) bonuses to trading, damage, and other generally useful things. Be aware that you DO need a lot of upgrades to get the most out of it, and not just through this shop.

Craft Forge determines what leaf types you can craft, the more levels of Craft Forge you have, the higher the level of leaves you have access to.

Craft Hammer increases the probability that when you craft a leaf it will be a higher level type leaf.

Unlock Artifacts
ALBs <3 Artifacts
Offline Artifacts
The only actually helpful Artifact is the Orb of BLC (Gravity Balls can come in handy, but if you're using them you should just be focusing on upping your damage or learning how to pile merge leaves). You NEED ALBs <3 Artifacts to be able to collect these AFK, but you won't be collecting many of them until late game. Offline Artifacts only helps once you massively improve your Artifact spawn rate, and even then it's not great for collecting Orbs. Get these when they're cheap, or when you NEED them (which will be after you've unlocked Obsidian Leaves).

Offline Crunches
Offline BLC
While you're offline, get free crunches. Works off the maximum reward you've ever gained from actively crunching (as opposed to Orb of BLCs which work off your current BLC Coin amount). Can be a nice bonus, as long as you've done at least one large crunch instead of just lots of small ones (which are generally better when the game is running).

Unlock Scrolls
Not really worth it until you reach the Leaf Tower. Ultimately, Scrolls are more of a late game thing (most of the upgrades are locked behind completing the Leaf Tower, and you require Crafted Leaves to get the most out of them). A good upgrade once you hit late-game.

Unlock Mulch
Mulch is a bit odd. It improves seeds (always nice!), trading (again!), crafting (woo!) and the Pub games (...eh, whatever), but getting it REQUIRES seeds, trading and crafting simply because trading lots of leaves for a handful of Mulch is the only way to really get any of it. It provides nice bonuses to a lot of areas, just don't expect it to be the best thing you ever get. It's also required for late-game play, so keep that in mind.

Unlock Materials
Material Inspector
Materials are a late-game thing that you can (and should) start collecting pretty much as soon as you're given the option. You can use them to upgrade your tools, which makes those Materials spawn even more (which is important, because they start off SLOW). You'll want to look at getting the Material Magnet upgrade from the Gems Shop, because that's the only way to farm them AFK.

Unlock Alchemy
Got lots of Materials? Then this is the upgrade for you! But, seriously, you're going to need thousands and thousands of Materials. It's better to get Material upgrades first (although Alchemy can give you access to more Materials via crafting different Essence to use to upgrades Unique Leaves and Pets, which is always nice).

Dig Knowledge
Dig Muscles
Dig Technique
If you don't have the Auto Dig Bot upgrade from the Gems Shop, digging's lacklustre at best. Digging gets really useful after you've picked up a lot of upgrades (and have the Hightech Shovel), but until then you might as well spend your BLC Coins elsewhere.

Perma HP Regeneration
If you get this, you're pretty much fine for all area damage up to the Infernal Desert. Worth getting as soon as you start having trouble surviving.

Blow Power Controller
Anything this does can be done other ways, so it's a waste of BLC Coins.
Unique Leaves 1
Provide passive bonuses to a whole bunch of things. You like passive bonuses, yes? Of course you do.

As mentioned in the BLC Shop section, it's pretty easy to unlock the ability to use 3-4 of these at once. Eventually you'll have all of them active all the time (and, if you're like me, actually completely forget about them from time to time).

All Unique Leaves can be upgraded with the Cosmic Essence material. This can get expensive pretty fast, but if you can get enough to reach level 10 you double their effects. This wont matter for most (either because by the time you can manage to get to level 10 the bonus won't be important any more, or because it's the Heart Leaf), but for some you'll appreciate it whenever you happen to remember Unique Leaves exist or what they even help you with.

I have a bad memory for these things, alright?

Upgrading Unique Leaves also increases your damage each level, which isn't very relevant when you first get them but you'll REALLY appreciate it later, and every level provides you with free materials every minute.

You have to find each Unique Leaf. The requirements are listed below. Use the tool in the area while you have the resources. No, I don't know why the notation changes. That's just how the menu is.

Alchemy Leaf
Requires: Shovel, Moon, 10e30 Moonstone Leaves

You don't really care about the brew time (you'll be brewing more times than you can count anyway, and most of the time you'll be doing it automatically so you wont even know it's happening), but the brew crit chance is a nice way to get free stuff. And by the time you can unlock this you'll have the Greedy Uniques upgrade as high as it can go anyway.

Bone Leaf
Requires: Ace of Spades, Volcano, 100m Lava Leaves

This WOULD be awesome, except it comes AFTER you're past Celestial Leaves which is the only time you desperately want enemy rewards. At least it's not the worst leaf?

Borb Leaf
Requires: Leaf Blower, Neighbor's Yard, lots of Borbs

You need a massive amount of Borbs to get this to spawn, which means you're already trading for Borbs, which means you get nothing from this leaf.

Crystal Leaf
Requires: Hands, Neighbor's Garden, 1c Platinum Leaves

If you're not interested in buying supporter packs to boost the Gems you get each day, this will provide a bigger boost than anything else.

Electrical Energy Leaf
Requires Nuclear Trout, Spark Range, 1e3 Electrical Energy

If you don't have a crafted leaf giving you Electrical Energy, this isn't very helpful. But at this stage of the game you'll just grab it.

Equipment Leaf
Requires: Airplane Turbine, The Leaf Tower (floor 321)

You don't care about the Claw bonus. You DO care about getting 2 extra bits of equipment every time items drop in the Leaf Tower.

Fire Leaf
Requires: Lazer, THE VOID, 1C Void Leaves

When you first unlock Unique Leaves, ALB damage is still your primary source of damage. A simple case of more = better.

Ghost Leaf
Requires: Blowfish, Space, 1d Cosmic Leaves

A.S.A.P.

Nothing more to say.

Glitter Leaf
Requires: (any)Rake, Mountain, 1D Bismuth Leaves

Combo rewards aren't bad, but your combo reward should be massive by this point. It might help a bit, but not a way that will impress you compared to others.

Heart Leaf
Requires: Leaf Blower, Garden, 100e Gold Leaves

I say a lot of mean things about fruit rewards. This leaf? Doesn't change any of it. And no, upgrading this leaf doesn't help either.

The Holy Leaf
Requires: Carpenter's Cup, The Leaf Tower (floor 42), 1k Silver Tokens + 42 Gold Tokens

Once you're in the Leaf Tower you constantly want more Tokens. Until you do your first 3 or more MLCs and unlock the converters for them, THIS is pretty much your best bonus.
Unique Leaves 2
What happens when the developer adds ten new Unique Leaves in one update? I split the section, that's what.

Leafscension Leaf
Requires: THE HIGHTECH ACE OF SPADES, The Exalted Bridge, Snekko

Like all other Leafscension upgrades, this doesn't decrease the level 1 costs. Still a useful leaf to have once you get to that point of the game.

Material Leaf
Requires: Nuclear Shovel, Kokkaupunki, Ducko

A paltry amount of materials per second, but a general improvement to material spawn rate. The second part is nice, even if you never notice the first.

Nuclear Leaf
Requires: Nuclear Leaf Blower, Leafsink Harbor, 100k Benitoite Leaves

More damage is always good. Blow power... not so much.

Pet Leaf
Requires: Large Trout, The Abandoned Research Station, 1e4 Sacred Leaves

Improves Pets, which is awesome. Probably one of the last Unique Leaves you'll get, which is not.

Rainbow Leaf
Requires: Rocket Engine, Celestial Plane, 100k Celestial Leaves

Makes seeds, one of the best if not THE best ways to advance in the game, better. Having this is like having 50 free levels in every single seed. Except it's free.

Relic Leaf
Requires: Hands, The Ancient Sanctum, 1e5 Sacred Leaves, Deero

No, this doesn't mean you should use Deero more often. Relics are (at least initially) incredibly slow to get. 1% doesn't sound like much, but there's not many upgrades for Relics as it is. And bonus damage is always nice.

Robot Leaf
Requires: Graphics Card, Abyss, 1m Exotic Leaves

Not great as soon as you can unlock it, but you're only two leaves/areas away from getting Printer Printers at which point you'll learn to love your robot over...leaf?

Shard Leaf
Requires: THE HIGHTECH TROUT, Biotite Forest, 5e3 Shards

Both helpful and frustrating. It'll boost the amount of shards you get by a noticeable amount, but you need to have gotten 5 thousand to unlock it anyway. Still, more shards more better.

Tool Leaf
Requires: Large Leaf Rake, The Volcano, Flocko

Will make Obsidian and Benitoite leaves easier to get, and also increases all blowing range. Just generally useful.

Unique Unique Leaf
Requires: Large Trout, The Infernal Desert, 1e9 Sand Leaves

Makes your Unique Leaves better. Definitely worth getting. I have no idea how this, Pet Leaf, and Butterflyo interact, but you should always have all 3 active either way.

Water Leaf
Requires: Fan, The Hidden Sea, 1m Obsidian Leaves

Gives a bonus to Global Trade Modifier (which is listed everywhere else as Trade Global Modifier). That's great. As a bonus, it also lowers the trade refresh cooldown AND trade delivery time. The only thing it doesn't do is make trades cheaper.

Wood Leaf
Requires: THE HIGHTECH SHOVEL, The Dark Glade, 1e4 Beer

A small bonus to material spawn chance is still a bonus to material spawn chance. And you want as much of that as you can get.

For extra materials, focus on upgrading THIS leaf to level 10 FIRST. This doubles the material spawn chance bonus, making it faster to upgrade all the other leaves to level 10 (except the Heart Leaf, which you can ignore if you even bothered unlocking it).
Pets
Like Unique Leaves, these give a passive bonus while active. Unlike Unique Leaves, you can't have all of these at once so you'll have to keep an eye on what pets you're using when you decide to do different things.

As with Unique Leaves you can upgrade each of these up to 100 times, though pets cost the Leaf Essence material, and getting to level 10 will double their bonuses along with every level increasing damage. Work out what pets you want to stick around for the majority of the time (one of which WILL be Butterflyo), and focus on upgrading them first.

Each pet costs 2e6 BLC Coins.

Autoblowo
Gives ALB damage at a time when ALBs are likely doing most of it for you, but doesn't give much and you likely already have more than enough and are starting to do damage yourself. Pass.

Bearo
Good early on to help get more cheese (and other random rewards, just don't expect much). Brilliant later to automatically bring in the resources you'll need (though it'll take longer since bears aren't really great when it comes to trading).

The reduced trade input is a massive bonus if you're at the point you need to trade all of one resource to get another (mainly for maxing out flasks).

Borbo
You want Borbs? Trade for them and give this a pass.

Butterflyo
This is the pet you upgrade first (and the most), because once you start using it you don't stop using it. GET THIS as soon as you can use more than one pet at a time.

Bunnyo
Nothing this does will ever matter by the time you gain access to it. Utterly irrelevant.

Also, the Australian in me would rather see it under my car's wheels.

Camelo
Chests are awesome. The bonus to Ancient Leaves won't really help (look into crafting for that), but you want as many chests as you can get.

Catto
Pick it up when you reach the Leaf Tower. If you get desperate. And even remember it exists.

Otherwise, it doesn't have much use.

Cheesetor
Keep in mind that you only get 1 cheese per trade, and when you first unlock trading it takes 2 hours to complete a trade. That's 60 cheese/2 hours from this, vs 2 cheese/2 hours from trading.

This is how you START getting cheese, but once you get some Trade Global Modifier it QUICKLY becomes irrelevant.

The Cursed Cheese
In the late game you start to desperately want curses to boost your damage. This WOULD be nice to have early on to start stockpiling them, but you can't get it until you've already gotten 666 curses.

Just run through the Leaf Tower more. You'll get more stuff that way.

Crabbo
Once you hit the Leaf Tower, you'll probably appreciate this. Until then, not so much.

Becomes very important later, and you'll probably want to make this your second pet to fully upgrade.

Deero
Spend your BLC Coins elsewhere.

Doggo
Not terrible, but you should (or will) have lots more combo bonuses than this. Get those instead.

Ducko
Worth getting when you first start hunting down materials, and worth upgrading to level 10 (though probably not much more).

Fisho
It LOOKS like it gives a lot of bonuses, but all in all they don't work out so great. The damage bonus works differently to Crabbo's, and it's less to start with.

You might end up picking this up for the same reasons as Catto.

Flamingoo
Doubles your energy collection. Brilliant when you first start collecting energy.

Flocko
If you're farming Orbs of BLC, this is a must. Otherwise, it's a bust.

Foxo
Pets cost BLC Coins. This rewards you with more BLC Coins. I shouldn't have to explain this any further, you should already have bought this. Try to remember you have it and activate it BEFORE you BLC.

Hippo
The pet that constantly looks like its name needs an extra 'o'.

Much like the Alchemy Leaf Unique Leaf, the brew time is irrelevant and the crit chance is a nice bonus.

Monkeyo
You REALLY don't need this.

Mouseo
Not too useful until you have lots of enemies spawning all the time. You're better off using Cheesetor until then, and by then you'll probably have enough cheese and trade bonuses to start trading for cheese instead.

Owlo
Only useful when dealing with Obsidian and Benitoite Leaves. Lets you have more of them on screen, which is useful for when you have to pile them up (see the Obsidian Shop and Benitoite Shop sections for more on that).

Penguino
Makes trading faster. This, plus other trading upgrades, eventually takes your trade delivery time down to TWO MINUTES. That's pretty insane for a pet that can't do basic math.

Panthero
If you're pushing to get as far through the Leaf Tower as possible, this is the pet for you. But it has no use outside that.

Raccoono
This is an EXCELLENT pet for filling out all your bag space, and depending on everything else you've got it can get you better BLC rewards than Foxo (if you spawn a lot of Exotic seeds and get lots of BLC upgrades).

Well worth it.

Sealo
Makes (level 2 and up) Leafscension cheaper. Worth it if you have a way to regularly max your leaf storage.

Snekko
Spider Bro
Defence-oriented bonuses? Ew!

Squirrelo
You know why you want this. Get it. Use it. And once you're past Celestial Leaves you can forget about it.

Toucano
Spend the easy resources this gives you on upgrading your tools.

Witcho
The bonuses aren't very impressive once you unlock this (considering how much you've already gotten from killing the Witch 10 times), but at this stage of the game you desperately want ALL these bonuses you can get.
Exotic Shop
Your first post-Science leaf shop, and oh boy does it contain some goodies!

Unlock Celestial Leaves
The worst upgrade in the game. Not the most useless, as you need it to progress, but the worst.

Buy Farming Certificate
The best upgrade in the game.

No joke. Really. This thing is, essentially, the ONLY way to maximise your resources and reach the insane levels of upgrades you once only dreamed of. GET THIS as soon as you can, then look at getting the Bigger Bag upgrade from the BLC Shop because now you actually need it.

Exotic Fertilizer
See: Gold Shop.

Exotic Marketing
See: Leaves Shop.

Nuclear Fuel

BLC++
Moar BLC
The first of these is a lot like the Science shop upgrades. You're desperately hungering for BLC Coins by this point, so it's good. But the second upgrade? Oh boy!

Moar BLC is what starts giving you the biggest bonus you'll get for BLC rewards. It's worth 100 levels of the BLC Shop upgrade (which is horrible, DO NOT GET IT), which then gets modified by all those Science shop upgrades you already had access to.

In addition, both of these upgrades are purchased with LEAVES. By this point you've got that many bonuses to leaf rewards that you should be rolling in Exotic Leaves after a few minutes, and THEN you go add FARMING on top of it and things get ridiculous FAST. You'll level both of these up MUCH faster than all the Science shop ones.

Until you reach Mythical Leaves, this is the way to get BLC.

Unlock Exotic Apples
See: Gold Shop.
Celestial Shop
I'm sorry. I'm just so very, very sorry.

We've all been here. We all know what you're going through. We all wish you the best of luck. Just remember that there is hope, and everything will be alright in the end.

Unlock Mythical Leaves
Your light at the end of the tunnel. The life preserver thrown to you as you sink.

Your escape from this nightmare. Get this LITERALLY AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Do NOT attempt to stick around, do NOT attempt to 'get one more level' of something.

GET. OUT.

ALBs Love Seeds
The ONLY saving grace to this horror show. It allows you to collect seeds while AFK which is such a huge thing I can barely express it. Still doesn't make up for Celestial Leaves being Celestial Leaves.

Celestial Marketing
Get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade. After that, you'll be able to ignore this.

Celestial Seed Marketing
Only useful if you've collected enough Celestial Leaves to purchase some Celestial Seeds. Aim for unlocking Mythical Leaves instead, as you'll end up with better ways to get Celestial Leaves.

Worthy Enemies
Get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade. Come back to it at some later point.

Actually helps later on when enemies become relevant.

ALB Hit Damage
They still do more damage than you, so get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade.

More Enemies, Please
Get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade. Come back to it at some later point.

Actually helps later on when enemies become relevant.

Moar BLC
You want more BLC rewards, obviously, but it's MUCH easier to get more levels of the Exotic Shop upgrade than it is to get this, and this is only worth twice as much. Spend spare Celestial Leaves here before you BLC, but don't stress over it.

Eventually you'll come back and get more levels of it.

Celestial Combo
Get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade.

Max Combo
Get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade. Come back to it at some later point.

Combo Multiplier
Get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade. Come back to it at some later point.

Unlock Celestial Apples
Get this to help you get enough to unlock the first upgrade.

Barely worth it, but you'll take anything at this point and it's cheap enough to get early on.

Offline Celestials
Not worth it until you've already got access to Mythical Leaves, at which point you don't even want to think about Celestial Leaves.
Mythical Shop
Blessed freedom. And I mean that in more ways than one, because I don't know what's better; being free of Celestial Leaves, or getting access to Printer Printers.

...it's being free of Celestial Leaves.

Mythical Leaves marks the start of what I consider the mid-game content, as you fully progress into automated resource collection (you're at the point your ALBs are doing pretty much everything, including picking up seeds, and you're just unlocking Printer Printers) and you'll have a handful of BLC Coin upgrades.

It's an entirely personal opinion, but I'm writing the guide so if you disagree with me that's a you problem, not a me problem.

Also, pay attention to your menus! All the Shop menus have two asterisks (**), so you'll KEEP your upgrades from these when you Prestige or BLC.

Unlock Lava Leaves
Areas have started to cost BLC Coins, so there's not a lot of point unlocking leaves without being able to afford the next area. However you CAN unlock the next leaf then trade for small amounts of them to get some of the cheap upgrades from your newly unlocked shop. If you do this, aim for BLC upgrades.

Mythical Marketing
See: Leaves Shop.

Mythical Fertilizer
See: Gold Shop.

(side note: in case you missed it, the Fertilizer and Marketing upgrade order swapped around here)

Nuclear Fuel
See: Leaves Shop.

ALB Blowing Power
Much the same as the other ALB Blowing Power upgrades, you want this because your ALBs are helpful little things. And by now they're doing practically everything for you! Don't forget that you've got access to the ALB Tools upgrade in the BLC Shop by this point, so these upgrades are improving on that.

Moar BLC
Worth 5 times as much as the Exotic Shop upgrades. Once you get enough Mythical Leaves to start getting seeds, this will really take off.

Player HP
As useful as every other HP upgrade. As in, not useful at all.

Healthy Fruits
Makes useless fruits slightly less useless, but still ultimately useless.

Offline Enemies
TECHNICALLY allows you to collect Celestial Leaves offline, as long as you've got the Offline Celestials upgrade as well.

Which would be useful if it wasn't for...

Printer Printer
GET EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING YOURSELF.

Printers are a MASSIVE drain on your Prestige Coins. This upgrade gives you them FOR FREE. Slowly, yes, but as long as you've got the Unlimited Printer Ink upgrade from the BLC shop you'll gain 86,400 printers per day per level of this upgrade (provided your game is running) and you'll keep them through your BLCs!

Once you have even a single level of this upgrade, the printer upgrades in the Coin Shop and BLC Shop actually become useful.

I can't stress how much this speeds things up. Once you have enough printers you can perform a crunch and you'll start with billions or trillions of EVERY leaf you have unlocked. Later, you'll be starting with enough to maximise all but the unlimited upgrades, and your autobuyers wont be able to keep up.

Unlock mythical Apples
See: Gold Shop.

(yet another side note: this is the only apple unlock that doesn't capitalise the first letter of the leaf type
)
Lava Shop
Not a lot to say here. The Lava Shop doesn't introduce anything new*, just more of the same, but better.

Unlock Ice Leaves
See: Mythical Shop.

Lava Marketing
See: Leaves Shop.

Lava Fertilizer
See: Gold Shop.

Nuclear Fuel
See: Leaves Shop.

ALB Blowing Power
Keep it coming!

Moar BLC
Not much better than the Mythical Shop upgrade, but stacks nicely with it. You want all of these either way, because you should soon be starting to stockpile as many BLC Coins as possible.

More Celestial Leaves
Useless. Your printers will handle Celestial Leaves until you can get seeds, at which point your seeds will handle Celestial Leaves.

Mega Fruits
Player HP
Player HP Regeneration
There's no reason to bother with these three upgrades. You might appreciate Player HP Regeneration to help you survive in the Volcano (!), but you also might just be smart enough to get Perma HP Regeneration.

Offline Fruits
Useless. Completely and utterly.
*This doesn't count as something new, because nobody cares about fruits, much less fruit that doesn't count for the Fruitifacts upgrade.

Printer Printer
It's like the Mythical Shop upgrade, except you get more of them.

Unlock Lava Apples
See: Gold Shop.
Mulch
I guess you had to be doing something with all those leaves?

This is an interesting shop that needs a lot of things to improve those same things. Not bad, and makes your life easier in some ways.

You can TECHNICALLY unlock this after unlocking BLC Coins, but you'll have MUCH better things to spend your BLC Coins on first. Realistically you won't be able to make use of this until you've got access to the Leaf Sword tool to start getting Mulch from leaves. And that's Lava Leaf territory.

Mulch Marketing
Worth a FEW levels to help get you started, but you'll soon swap to trading for it. This then becomes utterly useless.

Mulched Composter
Mulched Seeds
Seeds are, in a word, great. These upgrades do the impossible: they make them BETTER. You should put as many levels into these upgrades as you can, as better seeds means faster resource collection, which speeds up your crunching and improves how much and how often you can trade.

Just remember that Mulched Seeds resets your Farm, so don't do it when you can't afford to buy all your seeds again.

Mulched Chests
Mulched Luck
Not relevant until you reach the Inner Cursed Pyramid. Chests are nice, so once you can get them you should.

Mulched Slots
If you haven't already gotten the Zoo Necklace, this upgrade will help. Otherwise, it's GENERALLY better to ignore the Borb Slot Machine.

Mulched Claw
Insert More Mulch
A handful of levels in both of these and the Borb Claw Machine becomes a GREAT place to pick up extra curses to boost your damage (once you access the Leaf Tower). Not useful until you've got spare Cheese to spend.

Mulched Trade Caps
Only useful in specific situations. There's a cap on trading which is, essentially, whatever your maximum specific resource has ever been (eg, you once collected 1 e110 of *resource*? That's the best you'll ever be able to trade for of *resource*), to stop you from, say, just unlocking Celestial Leaves and trading your 1 e300 Basic/Gold/whatever leaves for 1 e300 Celestial Leaves and skipping that whole ♥♥♥♥ show.

Which is exactly what people used to do before the trade cap was put into place (it used to be possible to unlock trading and straight up trade your way through EVERY leaf after Exotics without unlocking any areas).

This upgrade attempts to allow you to trade OVER your trade cap, at the cost of Mulch, but because it's costly to get this upgrade you can't just break the game like you used to.

However, because this upgrade's somewhat costly it's practically useless except for the specific situation where you've just unlocked something new AND you've got a lot of Trade Global Multiplier upgrades already, AND you get lucky enough to find a good trade for your new leaf BEFORE you blow leaves off and earn everything the normal way.

Which, at the point you have the upgrades to trading to do that, is probably going to take you all of 5 minutes. So you'll almost always be raising your trade cap over this amount before you can make use of this, except for Cheese, Beer and Mulch... which don't benefit from this upgrade at all.

So you really shouldn't care about this upgrade.

Trading Optimization
An issue with trading is that once you've got some Trade Global Modifier bonuses, and your Trading Education upgrade is maxed (or just close to it), a LOT of your high level trades will cost you literally all of a single resource. Which then means you have to recollect that resource (all 1e300 of it) before you can trade it again. It's a MASSIVE pain, especially if you're trying to max your Flasks.

This upgrade fixes that. Get as much of it as you can. It also helps for letting Bearo do your trading for you.

Leaf Trader
Leaf Trader is a cheap way to trade more. If you've already got bonuses to your Trade Global Modifier, this helps you get more trades going. If you don't... this helps you see more trades for each lot of Cheese you spend refreshing the trade window.

Craft Hammer
Better crafting is always good. If you are doing any crafting, get this upgrade first.

Bigger Crafting Backpack
Useful to get when you start running out of crafting space, but not a necessity. There's other upgrades for this, but you are highly unlikely to have access to them at this point.

Leaf Counter Macro
VERY useful. The sooner you get this the better, because it just casually improves your damage any time the game is running.
Ice Shop

Moar BLC
Somewhat impressive, since these upgrades are worth +1000 per level. However keep in mind that at this point you'll have been putting levels into the Mythical Shop (+500) and Lava Shop (+600) upgrades, and those don't go away, to say nothing of your probably maxed or extremely high Exotic Shop upgrades. You wont be amazed by this, but as before you should keep getting them.

Obsidian Shop
Better upgrades all over the place, plus it actually gives value to fruit! No. Really. Fruit is actually useful now. I was as surprised as anyone else.

Obsidian Leaves work differently to other leaves (and Celestial Leaves, thankfully). Instead of spawning normally, they are made by stacking 3 Lava Leaves and 3 Ice Leaves roughly on top of each other. So the easiest way to get these is to NOT blow leaves off the screen.

Turn off your ALBs in the game menu so they wont get in the way (the first option in the Gameplay tab, NOT the option in the Graphics tab), then start blowing all the Lava and Ice Leaves into middle of the screen (at this point in the game they'll be heavier than every other leaf so it should be easy, if fiddly, to do). Keep doing this, letting them combine into Obsidian Leaves. There's a limit to how many leaves can be on the screen, so you'll know you're getting close when leaves stop spawning as much. Or, if you've unlocked Artifacts, use a few Gravity Balls.

Once you've got a large pile of Obsidian Leaves, blow them all off the edge of the screen in one big bunch.

The game tracks how many leaves you gain per second, and uses THAT amount to determine your offline earnings. This 'tricks' the game into thinking you should always earn a whole screen worth of Obsidian Leaves per second. There's more to it (using the right Pet/s, cutting out extra Ice Leaves so more Lava Leaves can spawn, etc), but ultimately you just do this until you're satisfied you have a high 'max gained per second' record then close the game for an hour, come back, get rewards, spend them on upgrades, and repeat the process.

Obsidian Marketing
See: Gold Shop.

Nuclear Fuel

Max Combo
Combo Multiplier
You get more combo bonus here, which is very nice considering Obsidian Leaves present a new challenge. Get as much as possible.

Leaf Damage
You'll EVENTUALLY need to get levels in this (for the Leaf Tower), but you don't need it right away. So spend your Obsidian Leaves to make getting Obsidian Leaves faster instead.

Moar BLC
More (moar?) is good. Worth +2,000 each. Unfortunately, you'll have WELL over +10,000 (if not over +50,000) by this point. You still want these (because you want all the BLC Coins you can possibly get), but things are definitely slowing down now.

Fruitifacts
Make fruit useful? What is this devilry?!

There's a guide created by an incredibly talented, knowledgeable, handsome and all-round humble user that's DEFINITELY always up to date that goes into more detail, but ultimately this, plus the Coin Shop Fruit Trees upgrade can be used to spawn fruit, which reduce Artifact spawn time. Then you just AFK in the Volcano (!) for a few weeks.

Durable Artifacts
Is surprisingly good. Though it's actually best for making sure Artifacts you DON'T want stick around.

Printer Printer
More of these are always nice. You'll never max your printers out, but you'll give it a try!
Silicon Shop
Want better converters? No, probably not. These come too late to help with earlier things, and too early to help with later things.

Unlock Benitoite Leaves
These spawn (or, rather, are available) in the same area Silicon Leaves spawn, so unlike every other leaf unlock you can just get this whenever you feel like it.

Critical Converters
Critical Output
These wont be useful until AFTER you've finished the Leaf Tower and MLCed a few times, and each time you MLC you lose these upgrades. They're useless until then. AFTER you get the 'Unlock Silver/Gold Token Converter' upgrades, these upgrades become useful again.

Printer Printer
Just keep printing, just keep printing...

Leaf Merginator
Makes it easier to merge leaves. Would have been nice to have this for Obsidian Leaves, but it WILL be nice to have this for Benitoite leaves.

Autobuy Accelerator
Technically this is helpful to have, as it speeds up autocrunching and general autobuy activity.

But you'll NEVER notice it happening because the entire point of autobuyers is that you don't need to pay attention to the things they're managing.

Customer Acquisition
Once you start getting Trade Global Modifier bonuses from Crafted Leaves, trade refresh time becomes pointless. Until then, reducing refresh time saves you Cheese.

So get this if you don't have any useful Crafted Leaves yet.
Benitoite Shop
The last of the Leaves, at least for a while. These are merge leaves, same as Obsidian Leaves, so check out the Obsidian Shop intro for advice on how to get them.

Unlock Moonstone Leaves
You wont be able to see this unless you've beaten the Leaf Tower AND done it (at least) a second time to reach floor 120. Otherwise, exactly like other 'unlock next thing' upgrades.

Unlock Borbs
Mostly useless, except for the Borb Taxi and Borb Pyramid Taxi. Unlock them but get them through trading (once you've got some Trade Global Modifier bonuses).

The Borb Taxi and Borb Pyramid Taxi can be made free via a Gems Shop upgrade, which basically removes any use for Borbs.

Silver and Gold Tokens
Welcome to DAMAGE BONUS CENTRAL!

No, really, get damage. It's the single most important thing for game progression through the Leaf Tower, the Cursed Pyramid, and Cursed Kokkaupunki. Here's where you start to really ramp your damage up.

The Silver Token Shop
Player HP
Healthy Lifestyle
Leaf Armor
No, not these.

Leaf Damage
THIS.

Leaf Damage Multiplier
(and sometimes this)

Item Drop Chance
(also this, because it ends up getting you more damage)

Borb Taxi
Borb Taxi End of Party
Borb Taxi Observer
These are used to keep you in the Leaf Tower whenever you get kicked out ('blown away'), or when you complete the Leaf Tower, OR when you just start slowing down. You need Borbs for it (unlocked through the Benitoite Shop), but they're easy to get with a few trade bonuses, or you can use these for free (after you buy them) with a Gem Shop upgrade.

The Gold Token Shop
Tower ALBs
ALBs <3 Equipment Items
Both are required for AFK farming of the Leaf Tower. ALB damage starts to fall behind at this point.

ALBs <3 Scrolls
Helpful, but not a requirement, for AFK farming.

More Tower Rewards
Gives you a SMALL bonus to enemy rewards in the Leaf Tower. You wont notice it until something like floor 40.

Player HP
Healthy Lifestyle
Just say no to drugs health upgrades.

Leaf Damage
The big one. The damage bonus to end (almost) all damage bonuses. You wont be topping this until you get into end-game Crafted Leaves. For comparison, EVERY previous upgrade for damage will give you a TOTAL of +21,400 damage (plus a handful of +5000 damage from Silver Tokens).

This upgrade swings in with a whopping +200,000 just from the first upgrade. THEN has all your damage modifiers from Pets, Unique Leaves, and the Token shops added to it.

One level of this will likely more than triple your damage.

Leaf Damage Multiplier
Not bad, but you want the flat Leaf Damage upgrade more than you want this. This just helps make it even better.
Mega Leaf Crunch Shop 1
Your third and, currently, final way to prestige! Resets your progress except for things purchased in shops with three asterisks (***), but gives you MLC Coins as a reward to spend in the Mega Leaf Crunch Shop.

MLC Coin reward is based on current BLC Coin stockpile and the highest Leaf Tower floor reached (boss clear levels are the cutoff points). Before getting anything else, get More Tower Floors. I don't normally call out upgrades in the intro to a shop but... More Tower Floors is the most important upgrade in this entire menu. Get it every single time you can, even if you think there's something else you want.

All Leaves+
Remember how quickly you were getting leaves before? You won't need this. You certainly don't need this when you're low on MLC Coins.

Master of MLC
Not worth it compared to More Tower Floors.

Moar BLC
Performing a MLC will reset your BLC Coins. It'll also reset all the shops you've previously had upgrades for BLC Coin rewards in. So this SHOULD be a good upgrade to get some levels of, to make getting BLC faster your second time through... but it's not. Your Rings of BLC equipment will give you the same bonus as this as long as you've got 200 of them (you'll probably have over 600). Plus, you've got MUCH better things to spend MLC Coins on first, and by the time you've got them you wont care about this.

BLC Upgrade Bot
You don't really need to automate the BLC Shop, especially not after just resetting your BLC Coins. Grab this only after you've got the Crunchy BLC upgrade, AND you're at a point you're doing lots of MLCs. This also makes things difficult when new BLC Shop upgrades are added, because you buy them without knowing they exist so you never look at what you're getting.

Silver Token Upgrade Bot
Gold Token Upgrade Bot
These two are pretty much in the same boat as the BLC Upgrade Bot. You only need them once you're already at the point you're doing lots of MLCs.

Gem Leaves Upgrade Bot
Farming Upgrade Bot
Autofacts
You'll practically never need these. You'll definitely never need Autofacts.

Offline Seeds
Utterly horrible. If you want offline seeds, go for the Gem Leaf upgrade. It's cheaper than getting this.

Offline MLC
Offline MLC
Free MLC? Yes please. The only issue is you need a fair bit to get enough upgrades to make this helpful so... save up a lot first.

More Tower Floors
THIS IS THE FIRST UPGRADE YOU SHOULD GET. NO QUESTION.

Your "I WILL DUMP EVERYTHING I CAN INTO THIS!" upgrade. You need 40 MLC Coins for this, which is why you should only MLC when you'll get 40 MLC Coins (or 14 (not 13, due to rounding) if you can buy the MLC x3 Gem Shop upgrade). It'll be a struggle to get your first 40, but once you do and you get this, your next MLC will EASILY get you over 500 MLC Coins. Which you'll spend on Crunchy BLC if you can. Every level of this will ramp your MLC reward up significantly because your highest Leaf Tower floor reached (and BLC Coin count) determines your MLC reward.

THIS upgrade beats EVERY other MLC bonus upgrade.

Crunchy Tower
Not helpful until you can easily handle the Leaf Tower, as it sets your starting floor higher than 1. If you can't handle it, you have to start from scratch anyway, so save your MLC Coins. When you CAN easily handle the Leaf Tower, this and the Gems Shop upgrade are a nice addition.

Offline Tower
Late-game, you'll want this to push your way up the Leaf Tower (both for more MLC and Milestones). Get it when it seems cheap enough.

Authority
Not helpful until you can easily handle the Leaf Tower. You WANT lots of enemies to kill for rewards and equipment drops. Getting this makes it faster to progress through the Leaf Tower if you already can, but if you can't then you lose out on rewards that you want for upgrades to your damage that make it easy for you to get through the Leaf Tower.
Mega Leaf Crunch Shop 2
Character limit? What do you think this is, Twitter? What are you doing, Steam?

Crunchy Areas
Not required, though it's handy to have once you have MLC Coins to spare. By the time you're on your second MLC, actually purchasing areas should be a non-issue for you simply because of how fast you earn resources.

Crunchy Coins
Helpful, but at this point of the game you don't really care about Coins much at all (provided you've got Crunchy Areas). One level is good enough once you have the MLC Coins to spare

Crunchy BLC
The second upgrade you MUST GET.

Like Crunchy Coins, except for BLC Coins. You only need 1 level of this. As a bonus, it also saves your Bigger Bag capacity! To repeat myself: GET THIS AFTER GETTING YOUR FIRST LEVEL OF MORE TOWER FLOORS.

Crunchy Pets
Crunchy Seeds Lite
Crunchy Uniques
Pets, Seeds and Unique Leaves all sound (and are) nice, but by this point in the game they're REALLY quick and cheap things for you to access. These upgrades will be handy to have, but pick them up AFTER you've gotten more useful ones.

Unlimited +1 Printer Ink
This is something to pick up early. Not before More Tower Floors or Crunchy BLC, but as a third option it's pretty good. Grab it as soon as you can, because printers are basically your ticket to easy-mode. I'm not sure whether I'd recommend getting this before or after unlocking your first Gem Leaf. It's up to you.

Leaf Powered ALBs
If you're MLC-ing, you're also quickly getting all the Platinum, Bismuth and Cosmic ALB upgrades, plus you'll have a bunch of equipment. So your ALBs don't NEED this, but it'll be nice to grab once you have spare MLC Coins.

Advanced Trading Education
Not worth it until you've got nothing better to spend MLC Coins on.

Faster Artifacts
Offline Artifacts
After your second MLC (where you SHOULD be getting Crunchy BLC) you won't care much about Artifacts. Firstly, you'll have thousands of them, secondly, Orb of BLCs won't be AS important (still important for maxing out your BLC Coin count), so these won't help much. Pick them up if you're somehow really desperate for Orb of BLCs.

Critical Converters
Eh. You get this from the Silicon AND Benitoite Shop. You're also pretty much at the point Converters aren't relevant to gameplay at all, except for the two upgrades for Tokens below, but even that's a small part.

Craft Forge
Craft Hammer
At this point in the game crafting is your next stepping stone to progression.

So you should GET THESE after you've gotten More Tower Floors, Crunchy BLC, and Unlimited +1 Printer Ink.

Unlock Gold Token Converter
Unlock Silver Token Converter
The way you'll get most of your Tokens from now on (actually killing enemies won't really matter). Problem is, you'll quickly end up getting so much equipment and other sources of damage that Tokens start falling behind for damage progression. So it'll be nice to have, but don't rush for it.

Unlock *Gem Leaf* Leaves
Unlock these ONE AT A TIME, then go get a bunch of them (they only drop from bosses in the Leaf Tower after killing Bob). Otherwise you're splitting rewards and making things slower for yourself. Unlock them in the following order, explanation in the Gem Leaves Shop section:
  1. Amber
  2. Kyanite
  3. Rhodonite
  4. Tektite OR Emerald
  5. Emerald OR Tektite
  6. Amethyst
  7. Ruby
Gem Leaves Shop
All Gem Leaves have the same upgrades, with 1 exception: an upgrade unique to that Gem Leaf.

Except they aren't all unique, and they aren't all worth a damn, except to improve your crafting and material storage.

*Gem Leaf* Marketing
Extra leaves? Always nice (for the leaves you care about, anyway). Starts getting expensive VERY quickly, but you'll pick up a few levels as soon as you can.

*Gem Leaf* Combo
The first upgrade you should aim for. Get the Marketing upgrades until you can afford this, then GET THIS. You wont get your ENTIRE combo bonus, but it gives you SOME of it, and that makes the difference.

BLC Science
HA!

No. Maybe your spare Gem Leaves, if you can be bothered. I don't even have this set to autobuy, it's THAT irrelevant.

Master of MLC
Grab levels in these upgrades before you MLC. Other than that, keep pumping your Marketing levels.

Craft Hammer
Crafting will soon be your only way to progress (if it isn't already), so these are pretty important AFTER you've secured your Gem Leaf rewards.

Material Storage
Craft Hammer, THAN this.

Unique Upgrade
Remember the unlock order:
  1. Amber
  2. Kyanite
  3. Rhodonite
  4. Tektite OR Emerald
  5. Emerald OR Tektite
  6. Amethyst
  7. Ruby

Amber - Super Combo
The first leaf in the list, and also the first leaf you should unlock.500% combo SOUNDS pretty sweet, but you've got so many combo bonuses by this point that it's a drop in the bucket. However, you REALLY want more Gem Leaves right now, and this is the only upgrade here that'll help you.

That's what makes Amber Leaves the first you should unlock, it's the only leaf that directly makes getting the other leaves faster.

Amethyst - Critical Output
You have to spend MLC Coins to unlock this leaf. Then you have to collect this leaf instead of other, more useful leaves. Then all you get is a converter bonus you don't care about. The only reason why this is better than the Ruby unique upgrade is because it's NOT THE RUBY UNIQUE UPGRADE.

Get a few levels to boost your converters, then ignore it when you realise you might as well just save your Amethyst Leaves for... uh... something else? There's not really any options.

Emerald - Offline Seeds
Offline seeds. Meaning this is only relevant if you turn off the game (which makes pretty much every other upgrade here irrelevant). However, not everyone plays every day or for long periods of time! If that sounds like you, THIS is your best friend. Also helps get your Obsidian and Benitoite leaf levels back up after a MLC, because offline seeds are completely random instead of Fertilizer upgrade dependent.

Get this INSTEAD OF Tektite Leaves if you leave the game OFF a lot.

Kyanite - Leaf Damage Multiplier
Makes getting through the Leaf Tower easier. Subsequently, increases rewards by making you get more rewards faster, and helping you knock over bosses. I've mentioned before that damage is incredibly important to you, and this helps boost that. Not amazing, but it's something and that's what you get.

Rhodonite - Worthy Enemies
Helps with the Leaf Tower by making enemies give more rewards. Tokens, instead of Gem Leaves, in this case. You CAN unlock this leaf 5th, if you're finding the Leaf Tower easy enough, otherwise you'll want more Tokens for damage.

Ruby - Vitality++
By now, if you haven't realised how UTTERLY USELESS health bonuses are, you haven't been paying attention.

If you die in this game it's meaningless. You had to spend MLC Coins to unlock this leaf. This leaf spawning means you're not getting other, more useful Gem leaves. If you roll up a crafted leaf with a bonus to Ruby Leaves, you will feel nothing but pain and sorrow. This is the garbage tier upgrade other garbage tier upgrades point and laugh at.

Tektite - SEEDS!
Remember when you first unlocked Racoono and, oh god, the seeds started rolling in? It's like that, but BETTER, especially because this stacks with Racoono. Makes refilling your bags after any sort of reset MUCH faster.

Get this INSTEAD OF Emerald Leaves if you leave the game ON a lot.
Moonstone Shop
Only available after your first MLC, and then only after you've gotten up to floor 120 of the Leaf Tower (so you'd better have gotten that More Tower Floors upgrade).

A whole lot of crafting things here. Especially being able to slow down the crafting bar.

Unlock Sand Leaves
You're going to need a LOT of MLC Coins to unlock the next area to get these. Feel free to hold off on this until after your third or fourth MLC.

Moonstone Marketing
Same as leaves in the past: get this after you get Fertilizer upgrades.

Moonstone Fertilizer
Same as leaves in the past: get this as soon as you can so you spawn more of this leaf.

Master of MLC
While crafting is the main focus of Moonstone Leaves, it's actually worth picking this up before any crafting upgrades. You'll VERY MUCH want the MLC Shop crafting upgrades as well (specifically the Craft Forge upgrade which isn't available here), so it's good to start getting more MLC Coins first.

Bigger Crafting Inventory
Bigger Crafting Backpack
Both of these are useful after you've got all the other crafting upgrades. When you really start crafting, you'll want space to store your excess leaves. Until then, just keep the best ones and toss the rest.

Craft Beer
Barely useful. At this point you should be getting plenty of Beer through trading, so this won't help as much as spending your Moonstone Leaves somewhere else will.

Craft Fire
Not useful until you've gotten all the other crafting upgrades (both here and elsewhere) because you wont generally be massively upgrading crafted leaves until you hit the point you're crafting Moonstone and better.

Craft Hammer
As useful as every other Craft Hammer upgrade.

Craft Cheese
Saves you cheese. You know, that resource you get by the thousands? That you barely spend any of? Yeah, saves you some of that. Not useful.

Craft Time
The bar will still be fast, just not AS fast. Actually gives you a chance to get some 100% quality crafted leaves, or just makes it MUCH more likely you'll craft a 85%+ quality leaf. This is a wonderful upgrade to pick up.

Faster Autocraft
If you're autocrafting leaves, 99% of the time you wont pay any attention to it so you're not likely to care how long it takes. Technically it will make things quicker, but ultimately you wont ever notice it.
Sand Shop
Scrolls. Nothing else to see here, it's the most basic shop in the game, except for the Leaves Shop. That's not necessarily a bad thing, just don't expect excitement.

Sand Marketing
See: Moonstone Shop.

Sand Fertilizer
See: Moonstone Shop.

Master of MLC
See: Moonstone Shop.

Bigger Crafting Backpack
See: Moonstone Shop.

Concurrent Scrolls
Durable Scrolls
Frequent Scrolls
Improves your scrolls. These are mostly a late-game thing, if not end-game, simply because there's not a lot of use for them except to make some of the final things easier (or possible), even though you can dig them up fairly early in the game. So, generally speaking, you should know how, when and why to use these by the time you start needing them, and if you use them before you need them it wont matter.

Concurrent Scrolls is pretty much the only upgrade you need. It lets you stack multiple scroll effects (like, say, Pets, Unique Leaves, and Damage or Materials, which is basically the only 4 scrolls you'll ever use).

Durable Scrolls is outclassed by decent crafted leaves (get one or two Scrolls Duration bonus crafted leaves), but it DOES stack with it.

Frequent Scrolls increases how many you find, but most of the time you'll be finding them by digging, through the Borb Claw Machine, or from chests, so you might not even notice this upgrade.

Faster Autocraft
See: Moonstone Shop.
Ancient Shop
Desperately try to get at least a single Crafted Leaf that has the Additional Ancient Leaves bonus on it, because Ancient Leaves are a pain.

Still not as bad as Celestial Leaves.

Advanced Cauldron
Seems nice to have, but unless you're at a point where you don't care about how you use your Materials (read: max level tools, Unique Leaves and Pets) you probably wont use this. And by the time you've done all that... you probably wont care. But by the time you've done all that you've also probably already bought this.

Unlock Shards
Crafted Leaves are good. These make them better.

Sharp Shards
Crafted Leaves are good. These make making them better better.

More Pyramid Floors
Not really much, if any, use for this. It DOESN'T unlock extra floors for you, it creates MORE floors for you to unlock. As the space fish said, a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

It's a trap!

Bigger Crafting Backpack
See: Moonstone Shop.

Item Drop Count
Doubles your equipment drop rate, at least with the first level. Every time equipment drops in the Tower it'll drop TWO of that equipment. This is good (for useful equipment) and irrelevant (for useless equipment).

Material Finder
Not BAD, but by this point you probably have a bunch of upgrades to your Material spawn rate.

Material Duplicator
Like Item Drop Count, but for Materials. GET. THIS. You'll want so many Materials.

Witch Curses
Witch Essences
Witch Reviver
If you can handle the Witch, these are great. If you can't, these won't help AT ALL. Unlock Shards, sharpen them, get more Materials, then come back to this once you've upped your damage significantly.

Borb Pyramid Taxi
Handy. Also, dandy. The Pyramid is a bit like the Leaf Tower, except resets even more often. Having something that automatically teleports you back to the Inner Cursed Pyramid is a great help.
Gems Shop 1
Technically purchasable from the start. More realistically, unless you've bought a supporter pack (claimed in-game through the Supporter Shop) it'll be a while before you can purchase any of these upgrades.

It's Mine!
Lets you keep your tools when you reset through various prestige options (obviously does nothing for a hard reset!). Not bad, but not exactly something you need if you're willing to spend a few seconds buying tools, or if you can clear the whole screen with just your hands (or ALBs). Get it if you're really lazy and/or you've got Gems to spare.

All Leaves+
Gives you more rewards for blowing leaves. Sounds good, but it's a massive waste since there's LOTS of upgrades that give similar bonuses. Get those first, and if they're not enough... you've missed something.

Offline Profits +750%
It would be useless, but there's some things that legitimately benefit from 'earning' them offline, and this pushes that even further. If you're desperate for more Obsidian and Benitoite leaves, this upgrade might actually help.

Max Offline Time
If you start the game at least once every 24 hours, this wont ever help. If you go for multiple days without, this could be the best upgrade you'll ever see. Doesn't help for Daily Rewards (Gems and other things you unlock).

Offline Crunches
Offline BLC
Offline MLC
Offline MLC (yes, it's called the same thing)
While you're offline, get free crunches. Works off the maximum reward you've ever gained from actively crunching (as opposed to Orb of BLCs which work off your current BLC Coin amount). Can be a nice bonus, as long as you've done at least one large crunch.

Prestige Coins x3
No. Not the worst thing to spend your Gems on but... don't spend your Gems on it.

BLC Coins x3
You wont see this until you've gone through the Leaf Portal at least once. This improves crunching. You don't really end up gaining most of your BLC coins through crunching. Not a great idea.

MLC Coins x3
You wont see this until you've performed a BLC at least once. Unlike the other two 'x3' upgrades, this one actually helps. You need 40 MLC coins before you do your first MLC (see the related section), but if you've got this upgrade you only need to get 14. Considering how difficult it can be to get BLC coins at that point of the game, this can be a MASSIVE help. It's not useful until that point though, so if you haven't even started the Leaf Tower, you can ignore it.

Converters Output +300%
Much like the All Leaves+ upgrade, you've got lots of other upgrades that do the same thing. Go get them instead.

Converters Static Output +400%
Much like the All Leaves+ upgrade, you've got lots of other upgrades that do the same thing. Go get them instead.

Ultra Fruits
Contender for the Worst Upgrade Ever award. Fruit rewards are HORRIBLE, even with ALL the upgrades. You wont even notice it.

More Seeds
Offline Seeds
These two upgrades are great, but how great depends on how you play. If you leave the game running a lot, the More Seeds upgrade is better for you. If you're offline a lot, the Offline Seeds is better for you. This seems obvious, but it's worth mentioning that Offline Seeds has a sort of 'hidden' bonus.

Online seed spawns are based off the related Leaf Type Fertilizer upgrade. Offline seed spawns are completely random. So for leaves like Obsidian and Benitoite (and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Celestial) that almost NEVER spawn while playing, you have the same chance to get them offline as you do any other seed.

If you've just unlocked Obsidian Leaves, and gotten some seed levels, you might consider getting this upgrade then turning the game off for a day.

Just keep in mind that, for both of these Gem upgrades, you eventually get more upgrades that do practically the same things.

Gems Shop 2
No, seriously. Steam, this is ridiculous. It's text and a few small images. Next you'll tell us you're switching the servers over to dail-up.

Offline Artifacts
The only way to get Artifacts without playing. Still not great, because the rates are VERY slow, especially since you really only care about Orb of BLCs.

Faster Artifacts
Super Durable Artifacts
If you're at a point where you desperately want more Orb of BLCs, then you want both of these. Durable Artifacts helps more (IF you aren't also digging for Artifacts).

Customer Acquisition
Just get Penguino. It does more and costs you BLC Coins instead of Gems. Trade Refresh Time becomes irrelevant as soon as you start improving your Trade Global Multiplier and get Cheese faster than you can spend it.

Leaf Trader
Sort of helpful, but there's other upgrades that do the same thing. You'll end up with up to 10 concurrent trades even without this.

Better Pets
Better Unique Leaves
Why haven't you bought these two upgrades already?

Pets and Unique Leaves are almost always useful and effect so many parts of the game, and bonuses to them are few and far between. GET THESE UPGRADES as soon as you think you can.

Buy Borb Taxi Ltd.
Lets you return to the Leaf Tower and Inner Cursed Pyramid for free, though you still need to unlock the associated upgrade. Once you have a few bonuses to your Trade Global Multiplier (which you SHOULD have by the time you're at the Leaf Tower) you can get a few thousand Borbs every time you trade for them. So you don't need this, but it DOES make things simpler later on if you forget about Borbs entirely (which you will, because they're practically useless otherwise), so keep it in mind for when there's nothing else you need.

ALB Outsourcing
If you get it, it wont be useful for very long. It IS helpful, just highly limited.

Crunchy Tower
Once you're at a point you're actually earning MLC, this'll help you earn it faster.

Blazing Tower Skull
Makes getting through the Leaf Tower faster. Important if you're trying to push through to higher levels (which you'll eventually benefit from).

Skippable Tower Bosses
There's a couple of ways to skip Leaf Tower floors. This upgrade lets those ways apply to boss floors. By the time you're skipping Leaf Tower floors you can probably instantly kill bosses anyway, so skip this instead of skipping them.

Autoloot Gem Leaves
Not worth it at all. If you're collecting Gem Leaves your blow power will be more than enough to collect them without even thinking about it.

Daily Material Shipment
By the time you get to the point you want lots of Materials, you're already getting thousands of them per hour. You've probably got better things to spend your Gems on.

Material Magnet
The only upgrade that allows you to AFK farm Materials. Try to get this.

Material Finder
Pretty much doubles your base chance of getting Materials. Nice, though keep in mind there are other similar upgrades.

Material Storage
There's other upgrades for this. And, generally, you'll be spending Materials as fast as you get them. Only really helpful if the things you're spending Materials on need more than 1,000 per upgrade and you haven't unlocked Gem Leaves for some reason.

Dig Knowledge
Not terrible, but not good. If you want to spend Gems on digging, get the other upgrades first.

Dig Muscles
Doubles your digging. Dig Technique is probably more useful for you though.

Dig Technique
Makes you able to dig more often. Auto Dig Bot will be more useful.

Auto Dig Bot
If you want to spend Gems on digging, get this first. It's also like the Material Magnet upgrade in that it's the only way to AFK farm with digging.

Faster Auto Dig Bot
Dig automatically, but faster. Useful.

Auto Slap Bot
Faster Auto Slap Bot
Not terrible upgrades, but INCREDIBLY circumstantial. You pretty much only need Slap damage once you get to the Witch and later parts of the game, so if you're not at that point you don't need this. If you are at that point, you probably already know all this.
Gems Shop 3
More updates means more upgrades. Which also means more sections split up because of Steam's stupid character limit (and my own inability to cut down on meaningless babbling, but I'm blaming Steam anyway).

Alchemyritical
It's not a bad idea to try and get critical chance for Alchemy brewing. Some of the recipes are expensive early on, and this helps get more bang for your buck, as it were.

SuperStirr
Most of the time you wont even care about Alchemy brew time. So most of the time you wont even care about this upgrade.

Leafcheapers
Helps with Leafscension, which is nice, but it's also pretty much completely end-game content.

Relics Magnet
Like the magnet for digging and materials, this lets you collect Relics without actively playing the game. By the time you unlock it, you'll probably have the Gems to spare for it.

Craft RNG Manipulator
Use-impaired. If you're at the point you care about having the best of the best crafted leaves, you're ALSO at the point where you're pulling in thousands of Beer each trade multiple times every 2 minutes. Rerolling the RNG Quality of crafted leaves is basically free to begin with. The only benefit is that it makes improving things slightly faster.

Autofuse Crafted Leaves
Make sure to lock the leaves you want to keep! Automating crafting of leaves is the way you want to go, which makes this a great help.

More Craft Sets
You can save 3 sets by default. Unless you're well into the end-game content you'll be lucky if you even have ONE bunch of Crafted leaves you'd consider a set. This becomes more helpful once you have a trading, damage, tower and reward set, obviously.

More Pet Teams
Cheap, but also not worth it. Pets aren't the sort of thing you end up having multiple sets of, because you end up being able to equip all the most useful ones at the same time.

Bearo <3 Gems
If you need gems and don't want to put any effort into it, this could be what you want. If you're going to be walking away and leaving the game running, it's possibly worth grabbing this just to get some extra Gems anyway.

Bearo <3 Boosts
Works well if you've been farming Essences for it. If you haven't, or you don't care much about boosting trades, this isn't for you. Does aid with the above upgrade though.

Boss Timer
Not generally useful because when you're farming bosses you just sit in the one area and AFK it.

Boss Offline Timer
Very helpful. Not only does it mean all the bosses have respawned when you first start the game, but also when you're jumping back and forth between your main game and challenges, letting you do multiple things at once.

Time Travel
Just save your Gems. Becomes (arguably) useful once you reach the end game areas (offline rewards vs chests vs time travel, take your pick). But unless you've already got everything else you want from the Gems Shop you should probably skip these.
In closing...
That's it for now (just crossing my fingers more doesn't get added right after publishing this...). Hope you enjoyed! Or found it vaguely useful to some degree?

If you think something is wrong or missing I'm happy to take suggestions, but keep two things in mind:

Firstly, these are entirely my opinion, not necessarily hard facts (though I hope it's at least mostly correct!). I wrote this to give people who want it a BASIC guide on the most obvious things. If you want to suggest something I should improve, it needs to be simple. No theory crafting, no "the math says you should do THIS instead". Very much a "This is easy to do and doesn't set you back" style thing.

Secondly, I'm aware I'm missing some things due to not having unlocked the latest content. I'd like to consider myself skilled in a few things, but giving a PERSONAL OPINION on content I haven't PERSONALLY witnessed is not something I'm capable of, and this is ultimately a guide containing MY personal opinion of stuff. I'm happy to hear about and be influenced by your opinion on things (and some of the information here has very much been influenced by things other people have told me), but I wont add things unless (and until) I can see it for myself.

Now hopefully I can just link this instead of having to answer repeated questions about BLC Coins, and Gem upgrades...

Hello @Daunmi
I want to make a continuation of your Guide. But there is one Problem; there were upgrades added to the shops you have already covered and I don't want to create a Guide with your entire work copied and reuploaded.
Thus I would ask of you to add me to the contributors so that I can edit the stuff that has been addded in.

The Carpenter's Cup is a 'blower' that really only really has one proper use - unlocking a Unique Leaf, the Holy Leaf, which is then used to unlock the Holy Grail, which is then used to access the Inner Cursed Pyramid.

I decided against including a Tool section since all the tools pretty much do the same thing, but better/worse than the previous/next tool, with only a few very obvious exceptions (Celestial Blower and Borb Sword, mainly). The Tool menu can generally be summarised as 'get whatever tool you can afford to get', and there's not much more to it than that.
ACat 4 Feb, 2023 @ 5:54am
not have "tool shop"? i wanna know the usage of "carpenters cup".
