Intro
If you're new to Sven Co-op then welcome to one of the most fun Half-Life experiences you can have with friends, randoms and solo

Sven Co-op allows you to play through the Half-Life 1 Saga and custom maps too if that's your thing. There's plenty of custom servers to enjoy or just create a private session for you and friends.
Cheats/Commands
Commands are only a little different in Sven Co-op compared to Half-Life in how they're used, or allowed to be used and when.

Obviously sv_cheats 1, noclip, god etc won't work on public servers. That is unless its enabled which is possible (and can cause mass chaos)

However, you can use cheats in a private lobby by yourself or with friends. Putting the player count to 3 or less will allow for sv_cheats 1 with friends. I'd recommend putting a password if you do. Additionally, if you have setup a Dedicated Server you can do pretty much whatever you wan't. Setting up a Dedicated Server is out of my knowledge but there are easy guides to help with that. Anyway, heres a list of useful commands and cheats you can use when possible

sv_cheats 1 - turns the cheats on
God - invincible
Noclip - can ghost through walls
Impulse 101 - gives all available weapons
Notarget - enemies ignore you
toggle_survival_mode - enables classic mode
map "map name" - loads a map of your choice
maps * - shows a list of every installed map
FOV & Texture Filtering
FOV by Default is 75 for some reason compared to HL1 or MMod for ex. Normally 1920x1080 should be set to 106 with Resolutions above 1080 set to 110-220. 85 is weirdly Sven's 106.

In the console [~] or launch options enter
Default_fov "desired fov"
I play on 85 as thats the equivalent to Half-Life's default

If you're playing on Ultra-wide, I'd recommend 110
Setting Up A Game

Creating a game in Sven is pretty easy and the same as in Half-Life. Simply click create game and then select a map, settings, etc.

Next, locate your SteamID by either looking in the console or

Then you're gonna need to invite your friend. Have them type in the console

"connect (your steam id)"

If you plan on playing with more than 2, set a password and have them type

"connect (your steam id) (password)"

Make sure to turn on Classic Mode for the Half-Life 1 experience by going into the Dev Console and type "toggle_survival_mode"

Now that should be it. You can now play with friends or setup private games

Opposing Force, Blue Shift & Decay
Sven Co-op doesn't offer the expansions and Decay by default but fret not, you can easily still get them hassle free.

OPPOSING FORCE
Opposing Force can be installed two ways

1 - Manually with the files
2 - Download the maps from a server

Either route will allow you to play through the Opposing Force Expansion in coop or solo

BLUE SHIFT
Just like Opposing Force you can install it manually or join a server to acquire the files needed.

DECAY
First thing you're gonna have to do is download the map pack for Decay.

Download the .zip here: http://scmapdb.com/map:decay

After that, you want to unzip the pack into the Sven addon directory.

Steam/steamapps/common/SvenCo-op/SvenCoop_addons

If that doesn't work, unpack it into the main directory.
After installing it, load up Sven and select Start Game. dy_accident should be the First Level.
NOTE: Whoever you're playing with has to do this aswell or it WON'T WORK

OR

Let your friends download each map as the game loads but its much faster if they have the pack
Remastered Audio + Revitalization + Miku
Custom Playermodels
Custom Playermodels are a huge aspect of the game. Ranging from Half-Life models to meme models to Hatsune Miku, there's quite alot of choices to play as. You'll also find that most of these models are built in to servers so you'll get them automatically by joining.

Thankfully a repository for Sven Co-op exists or a database if you will containing all available maps and models for use.

Fidgeting didn't work either, since there is literally an invisible wall for him.
I replayed the level again solo, and discovered the secret area with the teleporter cannon, so I could kill the enemies there too, in case that was stopping him. I actually got him to move, but then he got stuck at a corner and couldn't move, nor talk, nor fidget. I think it's because the gate to the train was closed (I forgot to open it), or perhaps because I forgot the 2 marines in the elevator, dunno.

When I played on a public server others had the same issue. I think either restarting or just fidgeting him to the Tram works. Let me look into it and see if there is a fix

Anyone else have trouble on the "dy_dorms" or "Domestic Violence" level, where you have to escort a security guard to the tram? No matter what we do, the security guard can't follow us out of the room we find him in, even though he does follow us around inside the room, it's like there is an invisible wall for him. We killed all the marines and other enemies, but he's still stuck. We even tried spawning a new Barny NPC, but it spawned an SD one and didn't work. Any ideas?
