Invalid CD-key - easy fix

Hi, if you just installed RoE you might come up with the wrong CD key error. The easiest legal way to fix that:

1. Close the game, go to your Steam library.
2. Find in the list original game - Doom 3
3. Right click on the game title
4. View CD keys
5. This is the required key, write it down
6. Launch RoE, paste in the >> first row << the key. RoE key should be inserted already in the second row.

That's it, no additional installation needed. Enjoy your DooM!

When i right click doom 3 it has no CD key. when i right click ROE it does have a cd key though.

In your library be sure to right click>Manage>View CD Key

My CD key doesn't seem to work, I'm entering the first 16 characters in the frist box and the last 2 in the second, this doesn't seem to work.

so the 2 version of doom i have just dont work with the cd key info one has, one version has no cd key but the other does, with that said I don't think my CD key works with this version of the dlc. If CD keys are just made willy nilly for every purchase will the "new keys made" be allowed by this "old" game? Or are we getting recycled keys that "should" work with the game? Just asking..

I tried excatly this, but the doom3 key I enter (which I took from my DOOM3 in steam) is reported to be invalid, and I should look up the key on the jewel case.
