What to do:
Phases and why they suck

First off, get a podcast ready, and if you drink, that too. Luck plays a role in this fight, but not as much as some claim it. The big thing is Phase transitions.

Mister Afton, or Slick Willy as I'll be calling him from now on; has two phases. Both are very buggy, but the first is slightly less so, I'll be fixating there. If you're in the second phase, no matter how good you are, I may as well say it up front: You're likely dead. Enjoy the eight full minutes to try again.

Thanks Steel Wool.

Phase One

As soon as the Fight starts, run forward and light Slick Willy up. This'll break Freddy out of his fit. If you don't stop him when he touches the monitors, Freddy will eventually turn hostile and cannot be stopped. Blasters and cameras are useless this whole fight. The animations play but all robots and enemies will keep moving at you no matter what.

Freddy will vocalize if a Shattered Animatronic is coming at you. You'll need to multitask, as he's doing this, look to see if Slick Willy is moving. If he heads to the top of his screen, he'll move to the left monitor, down is the right. Left or Right you can burn him the second he stops moving. Middle only if he touches the screen which can take ages. It takes 15 seconds from him to walk from one monitor to another. It takes around 5 burns to kill him until the inevitable sequel.

Between these, Freddy will announce various Shattereds and you need to respond appropriately.

Chica will come down the Hall towards you. I use the Camera to flip left and right constantly, but many just look. Slam it when she's at the halfway point, and you can let it up as soon as she turns around. She's not a clever bird.

Monty I flip to the vent camera to close it when he's halfway there, but you won't be using that vent closure much, feel free to just slam it when his name is announced and open it when the vent noises end.

Roxy. Roxy is broken, and the intention is to get in front of her and scream inside of Freddy, who could be hacked or just kick you out at any time because he is extremely glitchy even by the rest of the game's standards. I do not recommend trying to do what the game intends for you to do here. When you see Roxy approaching you, get into Freddy and move into the doorframe she is coming towards. Face the inside of your room, and leave so Freddy blocks that door. It will take practice but you will learn the ideal angle that Roxy can't pass by.

With Roxy blocked, other Animatronics don't generally show up, and you can focus entirely on burning Slick Willy. If Scott smiles on you, this will be the whole fight.

It usually won't, and will slip into Phase 2.

Phase 2

Remember the Molten Freddy Blob from earlier? He's here, and those various gratings are where his tentacles can instant kill you. They are fast, abrupt, and you usually won't even know when or how you died. The gratings hint where they will spawn from.

Pray these don't show up. The left side almost requires Freddy to reach the monitor if Slick Willy needs a burning, which means letting Roxy in, and getting a guaranteed fail safe unless you're proficient at juking Roxy.

These phases are abrupt, so regardless of the Phase, I recommend standing slightly to the right of the center monitor, so if the left vent has a tentacle shoot out, you have time to react.

Unless you have RNG blessings from every Saint in Heaven, you're gonna just suffer a lot. Try not to get too pissed off, and just... accept you're locked in and will eventually win. Afton is annoying, and stops being scary very quickly. But hey, if you're a FNAF veteran, you'll be fine.

Hope this helps, now give the spooky bunnyman Hell.

no worries I beat it shortly after. managed to get a spot that got Roxy stuck between the doorframe and Freddy and I didn't realize the tentacles' hitboxes would be so tiny

I wanna stress that this guide was released practically on launch and I haven't played it since any of the like, 5+ updates. From comments I've gotten, apparently the guide still works but it's likely not the best method for handling how he fights after the patches and updates.

Scot decided to be merciful, i got Roxy first and the tentacles never showed up. This guide was pretty useful!

Little hint with the tentacles; if you get in Freddy and stomp on the tentacles they'll piss off into no man's land. Just walk over them and Slick Willy will revert to phase 1, which I find a lot easier.
