By Don't shoot sentry busters
This guide was created to explain with a high degree of specificity - how to exclusively get Fibonacci numbers on your characters statistics in order to participate in contests and events that are solely designed to make you question your life, and all of the choices you have previously made that have led up to this point.

Why Do We Pay Homage To FIbonacci?
Why does a small tower defense community want to play the game in such a way that we remember the work of great mathematicians?

The answer lies in his work. Fibonacci was revolutionary for his time, considered the best mathematician in the west by his peers at the time, and even modern contemporaries today. The number sequence he came up with at the time may seem unimpressive now, but it is of critical importance to frame the context in which his work took place.

Fibonacci was born in 1170, during a time in which mathematics was underdeveloped. It was around the turn of the century where his work started to take off and gain favor with 'Big Mathematics' as it was known. It was here where his detractors finally realized the importance of his work, when he discovered the famous recursive sequence that would later go on to inspire the discovery of the golden ratio that is so popular in pop-culture today.

With the summary out of the way, we can now go on to answer the question at hand...

After hundreds of years of researching the historical record and gathering evidence, scientists found that Fibonacci was an avid Dungeon Defenders Second Wave player. Further research into the fossil record revealed that he played on an Xbox 360, using tilt controls while having a bad internet connection.

Knowing what we know now, it is easy to recognize the importance of Fibonacci, not only to the world of mathematics, but also to the world of Dungeon Defenders.
How Do We Get The Materials To Make Our Fibonacci Sets?
I am glad you asked. There are 4 means of attaining the items that we will use to make our sets, however, for the sake of legality we will only discuss 3 - if you wish to know the 4th, hop in my DMs. Going forward, I will split the guide into 3 sections to examine each of these methods.

Before that, below is real-time footage of Agapitus Lye trying to find items that he can use to make his Fibonacci sets with.

If you examine his workspace, you can clearly see it is set up for maximum performance. Take note of the wine bottle on the desk - every Dungeon Defenders gamer needs one of these to cope with the pain. In addition to the aforementioned bottle, we can even see that this particular specimen has a mini-fridge to cool his beverages with. While not entirely necessary, this may come in handy for when your computer approaches intrastellar temperatures while running Emerald City, as it provides a quick and much needed reprieve to your CPU.

The goal of the player in this situation is to become so consumed by the task of purposefully making your character statistics worse, that the feeling of hopelessness and dread can be quantified by examining your facial expression. On good pace, you can get a diagnosis of depression inside 3 weeks, however, some experienced runners have gotten sub 3.

Now, on to the first and most effective method to get your sets...
1: Borrowing Gear!
It is common knowledge that beggars can't be choosers, but this rule doesn't apply when the purpose is to actively degrade your account and characters by using worse items!

Borrowing is the best way to acquire gear because:

(1). It is easy.

(2). It is fast.

(3). It is free.

There are no inherent intricacies to this method. Simply find your best friend and they will more than likely be happy to share. The disadvantage to borrowing gear is that it can be difficult to find exactly what you need, especially since the only incentive for the lender is the promise of continued friendship that is based on a physiological dependency for Dungeon Defenders.
2: Trading!
Trading is somewhat similar to borrowing in its advantages. Ever since the dawn of humanity, greed has been a prevailing trait among humans, as it is a way to ensure survival. There is no arena more savage than the Dungeon Defenders trading sphere, and in a world where friends are few and far between, currency talks.

There is no reason to worry if you do not have a lot of currency to trade. Due to the nature of the items we are buying, most people will sell to us for quite cheap. Thanks to this, we can get everything we need with just a few cv.

Trading is a good way to acquire gear because...

(1). It is fast.

(2). It is easy.

(3). It lets you target what items you need.

(4). It helps you to build new lucrative trading connections and relationships.

The primary disadvantage of trading is that it requires social interaction in some form with another player.
3: Playing :(
Generally, the most time-efficient way to play Dungeon Defenders is to spend hours in your tavern, taking screenshots of your statistics and posting them in discord. This is personally one of my favorite past-times, and I like to think I am pretty good at it.

Below is a picture of a player fighting the Summit dragon:

The reality is though, we need to play, trade, or use an unspecific method of acquiring items of unknown origin to actually be able to have statistics. Due to this, we need to play, and the same applies for Fibonacci sets. Before going into the benefits and disadvantages, it should be known that maps that can give higher stats on items, can also give bigger negatives. As a result, you should try to play your maps on NMHC.

Playing is a bad way to get items because...

(1). It is fun and enjoyable.

(2). It is difficult.

(3). The previous two points are contradictory in nature.

Playing is a good way to get items because [no reason found].
Compiling The Sets!
This is where we marry all the previous sections of the guide into one. I will walk you through how we will do this, and you can do this too, to simplify the process.

(1). Remove all the gear from the characters you want to have Fibonacci numbers on.

(2). Create a folder for the removed gear and place it in the folder for safe keeping.

(3). Respec all your level points into 1 stat. Ideally, use a level 100 hero to fine-tune more stats.

(4). Now that your characters are no better than dirt, it is time to equip the items! most of the items you are equipping will severely reduce your stats, to sub 3000.

(5). Use upgrades on the items to change statistics and fine tune.

(6). Furthermore, use your hero points to fine tune some statistics.

(7). At this point, your character should be 10 Fibonacci statistics and ready to play bad maps at a chance to win a reward.

So, now that you have completely wrecked everything you have worked for for thousands of hours, you are finally ready to play the game and find success. Generally, these contests take place on the most anti-fun maps possible, but ultimately, it is your choice. Do you want to spend 40 minutes blocking with a sword on Sky 'O Love to make pairs of enemies? What about 30 minutes of running around the biggest and simultaneously one of the most close quarters maps in the game to pop Djinn? Or perhaps you are an enjoyer of placing traps on Etherian Holiday Extravaganza and running back and forth at low speeds? Whatever you choose, I can promise you will not regret it.

That's not a mini fridge, that's a cheap set of translucent plastic drawers you'd buy from some place like Wal Mart. Which makes his wallet even more amusing.
