Hey you, you're finally playing Crea
Crea, though seeming simple, is quite the journey with a slight learning curve to it. But don't worry! It's time to cover important items you'll frequently need, a (semi-ideal) build for solo players, monsters and bosses, and anything else I can think of!

Yeah the game is kinda dead, but I'm having some fun :)
Things to know when you're new
ATTENTION NEW PLAYERS!!! This section will cover important keybinds!

Toolbar Keys
  • Q: Mining equipment. This is where you'll equip your mattocks and torches.
  • W: Weapons. This is for your bows, arrows, swords, shields, wands, and spears.
  • Tab: Switches to a secondary weapon loadout (between 1 and 2). Meaning you can equip a bow and quiver in slot 1, and then a sword and shield in slot 2, then switch between melee and ranged using Tab.
  • 1-9 and 0: Triggers items and abilities slotted in the Toolbar.
  • Ctrl + 1-4: Switches between Toolbars 1 through 4. This allows for four different ability loadouts (ie. Ctrl+1 is for exploration, Ctrl+2 is for buffs, Ctrl+3 is for battle, Ctrl+4 is for building)
  • F: Switches the mining size.
  • Shift + left click (with mattocks equipped): Mine the background
  • Double tap A or D: Activates running.
  • E: Interact with objects and people
  • G: Grapple

Menu Keys
  • M: Opens the map. Default is closed, and cycles through a minimap, map overlay, and finally the world map.
  • I: Inventory
  • C: Craft
  • R: Character sheet. This is for equipping accessories, armor, and assign stat points.
  • T: Talents
  • L: Lore
  • Esc: Settings

Stuff that involves S
A/D + S: Dodge left or right.
S + spacebar: Go down a platform. Holding S and spamming the spacebar does not make you descend any faster. Sometimes the key combo doesn't register. Very common to roll afterwards.
Important settings to know
In: General
  • Difficulty: Typically kept on Normal (for the best experience!)
  • Combat display: Shows the health bars of all damageable creatures. Default is Mouseover, however Damaged is also good to use to keep the health bars from disappearing after a few seconds.
  • Show Combat Numbers: Change as you wish, though it's good to leave them Enabled
  • Place Items On Grid: Change as you wish. Enabled will make building a lot easier.
  • Toolbar Placement: Changes where the toolbar will be, either Top or Bottom.
  • Auto Toolbar: Auto-switches the toolbar. Weapon loadout 1 (W) = Ctrl+1. Weapon loadout 2 (W + Tab) = Ctrl+2. Mining (Q) = Ctrl+3. You can still switch manually. Personally, I'd leave this Disabled.

In: Graphics
  • Display Mode: Ideally Windowed (Fullscreen)
  • Zoom: How close the camera is to the player. Personally, I play with 125%.
  • UI Zoom: How big the UI is on the screen.
Talents and Stats
Stats
  • Health: Increases your health
  • Stamina: Increases your stamina (SP). You will consume SP when fighting, running, rolling, and casting spells
  • Attack: Increases physical attack
  • Defense: Increases physical defense
  • Intelligence: Increases magical attack
  • Mind: Increases magical defense AND boosts healing spells
  • Agility: Increases ranged attack
  • Luck: Better loot finds (not too terribly important and can be forgotten about)

Talents and how to earn Talent Points (TP)
Arms
TP: Use melee weapons, bows, and abilities
(Opinion) Useful Abilities
  • Knockback (early game) - Good for keeping mobs away for a short time.
  • Triple Strike - Good damage in a short amount of time. Especially useful for crowds, flying enemies (in advanced levels) and enemies in walls.
  • Battle Cry - Boosts attack, defense, and agility.

Syle
TP: Use wands and magic abilities
(Opinion) Useful Abilities
  • Heal - You'll be using this spell quite a lot throughout the entire game.
  • Fireball (early game) - Good ranged attack, but not the best for late game.
  • Protect - Boosts physical defense.
  • Shell - Boosts magical defense.
  • Haste (optional) - Boosts attack speed.
  • Regenerate - Good for when Heal is on cooldown.
  • Windstorm - Damages enemies close to the player. Extremely good for building Syle TP quickly.
  • Invisible (exploration) - Useful for exploration, especially into areas of higher level.
  • Ice Beam (replacement for Fireball) - Chains between enemies. Doesn't have the distance as Fireball but deals more damage.
  • Raise (multiplayer) - Resurrection. Not needed for solo adventures.

Gather
TP: Mine things
(Opinion) Useful Abilities
  • You will always have the TP to upgrade pretty much everything EXCEPT Precision. Don't get Precision unless you really want to have it.

Craft
TP: Craft things

Explore
TP: Reveal the map (explore the world and do dungeons)
(Opinion) Useful Abilities
  • Light Orb - More light! Persists after death. You only need to refresh it upon log in.
  • Shadow Folding - More inventory space.
  • Stamina Boost - More stamina.
  • Luck Boost - More luck, I guess.
  • Jump Height - Become frog.
  • Double Jump - Become advanced frog.
  • Dodge Expertise - Dodge for less stamina.
  • Cartography - More map is revealed.
  • Sprint - Run for less stamina.
  • Lockpicking (optional) - Lets you attempt to open a locked chest with lockpicks.
  • Treasure Hunter (optional) - Lets you sense nearby chests (though you can cheese this pretty early on, so you don't really need it).
Crafting
Okay, someone really wanted to make crafting a pain. So here's a trick to cheat the system! Keep in mind that some skills mentioned will be unlocked over time, and that my advice will not get the equipment to max quality, but will get it to at least 100+ if you pay attention and get lucky.

What is the crafting?
An overly complex minigame essentially.

Elements of Crafting
When making anything that can be enchanted, such as a weapon or a piece of armor, there is "Balance" and "Quality". Quality determines the stats and rarity of the object being crafted, and the balance determines how long you can click buttons for basically. The higher the quality, the better the stats.

FOR EXAMPLE
  • A sword can be crafted with damage between 10 and 20 points.
  • I make a sword with quality of 100, out of a maximum quality of 200.
  • The sword's damage will be on the mid-higher end of the range (anywhere between 15-17 damage points), and it's rarity will increase from Common to Uncommon or even Rare

**THIS IS NOT EXACT!!! Meaning that 100 quality does not equal 15 damage, but 16 or 17.


Meta-Game the Crafting System
1: Polish and Sharpen (if you have the skills unlocked)
This will greatly boost quality gain.
2: Refine
Spam Refine until one of the quality modifiers above runs out, or balance drops below half.
3: Reverse Entropy
Boosts balance gain.
4: Restore
Gives back a lot of balance. Spam until Reverse Entropy runs out.
5: Refine
If you're lucky enough, by this point you'll be losing more balance than you can gain, so might as well do one last push for as much quality as you can. If you want to bother with Polish and Sharpen again, that's your own choice.
NPC's
How to NPC
An NPC can be made with two items: A Costume and a Mannequin. Some Costumes can be found, though they are mostly crafted. Each NPC would like a room (chair, table, light source, door, and back wall), with some requesting additional furniture for various different effects, though mostly discounts.

Cartographer
Information: Buy some additional map markers!
Additional housing items and effects: None
Stock:
  • NPC's - Shows NPC locations (if they're on mannequins)
  • Monster Spawners - Shows Monster Spawners
  • Treasure Chests - Shows Treasure Chests (a way to get out of using Treasure Hunter spell)
  • Way Crystals - Shows Way Crystals and their names


Chaotician
Information: Buy some... things? With CHAOS! "End game" items.

Information: Buy some general goods, sell your useless equipment and enchantments.
Additional housing items and effects: Dresser (increase stock size), Gold Chest and Alatrian Chest (increase rarity of stock), Auri Bonsai and Auri Register (discount).

  • General Crafting Goods (Normal, Refined, Premium; rotated): Lumber, Oil Clot, Feather, Silk, Cloth, Fur
  • Alchemy: Oil Pudding, Sylic Potion, Empty Bottle
  • Glow Ball

  • Other Nature: Ashberry, Puracas

Remna
You'll need Remna. A lot of Remna. This is a full list of monsters that drop each type of Remna. While their boss and elite forms are not listed, anything that looks like the regular monster will drop the same Remna type.

General Game Tips (Solo)
1: Always keep your armor and weapons up to date as best you can.

You are your own offence and defense, so it's always good to have the latest gear after each boss. It can get a little difficult to decided what to get later on in the game, so if it ever gets too tough to make a decision, then go for the items with the higher overall stats.

2: Be a melee-ranged mix class.

Unless you really want to roleplay, it's best to have at least a bow or wand on you if you're seeking to be melee-focused, or a sword or spear on you if you're playing ranged-focused. This will help you deal with all sorts of mobs in any given situation.

3: Level up Syle as fast as you possibly can.

Even if you're not looking to be a mage-type character, Syle is where all the healing abilities and defense abilities are located. If you have a low Syle level, chances are you'll be finding battles with creatures at or above your level quite difficult. Again, the Windstorm spell is great for passively earning Syle TP and experience, as you just need to keep it on and have it hit something in order to earn Syle TP/XP. The only downside is that you need to level up your Syle first in order to unlock Windstorm.

4: Don't worry about enchantments.

As sad as it is to say, you wind up with so many "good" enchantments you find yourself wanting to save them for your best gear. However, you'll always been upgrading whenever possible, so enchanting becomes an afterthought. Besides, all the enchantments have randomized effects on them, with most of them not even being that good, regardless of their rarity. You can use enchantments if you want to, but the small boosts they provide already don't do much in the long run.

5: Once you found the floating islands and the ocean, you can stop exploring.

Yeah, that's pretty much all the exploring you NEED to do. The floating islands is where you get the marshmallow seeds (though you can also buy them from the merchant if you have one) and some Wind/Fire Remna, and the ocean is you're one-stop-shop for Water Remna, but other than that you're pretty much good to go with the surface exploration. There's nothing much to see or do besides witness and fight mobs that may be a much higher level than you are. The only other exploring you'll do is underground, which is actually necessary in order to progress. A lot of surface items can be bought from the merchant or scavenger NPC's.
Why did I make this?
Crea is fun. It doesn't have very many bugs. At least, none that completely break the game. It runs quite well with the occasional frame drop (if too many things happen on the screen at once). If you like Terraria, you'll enjoy Crea.

I'll maybe add more to the guide if I can think of anything else super important. Or not. Who knows? ;)

I'll read it, information like this is good because the wiki is totally bare-bones.
