Your role is to co-ordinate the efforts of the various squads under your command, not to be a front-line combatant. One of the tools for doing this is marking the map with tags denoting objectives for the squads, and another is using the various resources (munitions, manpower, and fuel) to build.

Manpower

• Establish airhead: Air-drops a temporary Airhead team spawn at the selected location. (400 manpower - 10 minute cooldown)
  
• Dismantle garrison: Immediately dismantle a friendly Garrison. (100 manpower - 5 minute cooldown)
  
• Reinforce: Temporarily increases the capture power of all Sector Strongpoints in a friendly-controlled Sector. (200 manpower - 5 minute cooldown - 2 minute duration)
  
• Encouraged: Sectors will temporarily generate more resources when captured. (400 manpower - 10 minute cooldown - 5 minute duration - nodes will generate x2 resources for 5 minutes.)
  
• Generate fuel [60]: Converts 100 Manpower into 60 Fuel. (5 minute cooldown)
  
• Generate munitions [60]: Converts 100 Manpower into 60 Munitions. (5 minute cooldown)

Munitions

• Supply drop: A plane flies overhead and drops a crate of 100 supplies via parachute to the area. (50 munitions - 2 minute cooldown)
  
• Recon plane: Call in a reconnaissance plane to briefly surveil the battlefield. (150 munitions - 5 minute cooldown)
  
• Strafing run: Calls in a devastating strafing run on a designated location. Effective against infantry. (150 munitions - 4 minute
  cooldown)
  
• Bombing run [US/GER]: Calls in a bombing run on a designated location. Effective against infantry and most vehicles. (300 munitions - 10 minute cooldown)
  
• Katyusha strike [USSR]: Call in a rocket strike on a designated location. Effective against infantry. (300 munitions - 5 minute cooldown)
  
• Generate manpower [60]: Converts 100 Munitions into 60 Manpower. (5 minute cooldown)
  
• Generate fuel [60]: Converts 100 Munitions into 60 Fuel. (5 minute cooldown)

A good Commander communicates with his Officers, listens attentively, co-ordinates what the various squads are doing, and trusts his Officers to carry out tasks.
