In the 90s, fans made two parts of Quake for the Dreamcast, which in my opinion are better than the original! I will tell you how to play them on PC :)

How to play on PC

Download Quake Gold or Quake Platinum and in the original Quake replace the files in the game directory in the "Id1" folder with files from Quake Gold or Quake Platinum.
After that, running Quake will replace all levels!

After that for a normal game you need to install the Ultimate Quake Patch - wich brings back the music, supports high resolutions and normal graphics, including these levels! It is easy to take it here from PC Wiki or manuals on steam

To get closer to the original feel of the game go into the game settings, select the effects - "Quake", otherwise the default ones are "Normal". Lighting is also probably better set "normal".

What do you mean?
In my opinion, the level design is cooler and the potential of the game is better revealed. I think it was clear that he was not so much disclosed in the original

Nice guide and all, but what about these make them "better than the original"? Can you please explain? A little bit of a review or comparison would be quite appreciated.
