ABOUT MODEL BUILDER
It's time to get building and get creative! Join the latest trend in simulation games with Model Builder and unleash your creativity by cutting out, assembling, and painting your models, including planes, tanks, figures, mechs, and more. Sell your creations for profit to expand your toolkit, or display them to create stunning and epic scenes for the whole world to see.

As you’re accessing Model Builder early, we are still tweaking a few instructions and tools before launch, please be mindful this is not the final build for launch!

TWO WAYS TO PLAY
In Model Builder, you can play in two different game modes:

  • Story Mode - this is a single-player campaign mode, where you get to discover the heritage of your grandpa Stan and his work. This mode contains all kinds of tutorials and guides, that you will need to start working in the scale modeling business. If you are a beginner to scale modeling, it is strongly recommended to play this mode first.

  • Sandbox Mode - this is a single-player mode, where you have all the tools and models unlocked right away. This mode is being used to practice your craftsmanship and try completing different models in several ways. This mode is recommended for gamers, that are acquainted with the scale modeling hobby or have finished a major part of Story Mode.
TOOLS


In Model Builder, you have a vast range of scale modeling tools at your disposal. Things you have to know before you use them:

  • A craft knife is used to cut model pieces from their frames with more precision. It cuts out one part at a time.

  • Spruce cutters are the easiest way to quickly cut model pieces from their frames. Choose between cutting out a single element or multiple elements from the whole spruce at once.

  • A paintbrush is a versatile tool that can be used to paint in multiple ways.

  • Airbrush adds an extra level of detail and paintwork and lets you spray the paint over a larger part of the model.

  • The color tool allows you to paint the whole part of a model with single paint at once.

  • Pattern tool allows you to different patterns with two or more colors on your model.

  • The drybrushing tool adds more roughness to the edges of your model.

  • Washing tool adds water effect to the paints on your model.

  • Sandpaper allows you to smooth surfaces or add texture and detail to models.

  • Plastic Putty allows youl to fill out the dents in the model.

  • Decal tool adds stickers onto your model.

  • The Ray Gun tool allows you to lighten up certain parts of the model.

  • The Color Picker tool makes it easy to check predefined colors in-game.

  • The disassembly tool undoes connecting different parts of your model.

  • The Base Coat tool allows you to paint the model with pre-generated painting schemes with one click of a mouse.
IN-GAME MODELS
Model Builder gives the ability to recreate over 32 different models from various eras. Our game also offers models known from pop culture or inspired by well-known movies.

is there any way to rebind the right mouse button for rotating the pieces, I can't use the right mouse button easily and it makes manipulating the models difficult

I got to the German Submarine and ran into a problem. The "base coat" button doesn't do anything. And since it was the first time using it I didn't realize until after watching a YT vid that I may have added a coat of paint to the entire model but not the specific base coat paint required by the instructions first.Therefore there's no way for me to do the base coat properly, which means I can't progress the game any further. There's no way for me to strip the paint off the model, or even just start over, and the current paint is wrong then this is a game ending scenario, yes?

The guide says "Sandbox Mode - this is a single-player mode, where you have all the tools and models unlocked right away." This is incorrect. I just went into the sandbox mode after trying out the story mode for a while and getting annoyed by how rigid it was. There were multiple models that were locked in Sandbox Mode with a message that said "progress further in story mode to unlock."

I'm a little bit aged (74) and have been building models for more than 65 . When I began my hands were rock steady, but now they tend to shake a little and trying to paint a straight line freehand is nigh on impossible. I managed to find the masking tape, what a great idea, even better if I could figure out how to use it. I'm trying to paint the first part of the ship. Red hull and blue on the top edge. How do I get the tape to be used as a roll and how do I make it curve to match the embedded line? If I can't have a crisp, clean line I may as well give up. I'm really enjoying digital model building, being confined to bed all day, every day is boring, but Model Builder is not only passing time and a lot of fun, but it also brings back many great memories from my childhood.

saving the game was not possible due to low disk space. 200GB free disk space is not enough. i really like this game, but without saving, not playable :c

HELP stuck on the very first task of the career mode i cannot turn the page where it says next page it doesn't do anything

Pressing F9 seems to toggle the UI. I think there is no information about that, so it may cause some problems.
