How-To
  • Do not recruit all of your units from the same city. Rather capture multiple cities and use their recruits for building new brigades instead of relying only on one single city.

  • Reset some of your units' home city to another city in the same faction group (e.g. Nervii to Nervii), so you draw from the new city's recruits. Use the command wheel or the unit tab in the city.

  • Make sure the supply line from the unit's home city isn't blocked so recruits can reach the unit. The supply line also needs to include any bridges on the way.

  • Set the city's stance to "recruiting" (boosts recruits but costs more resources).

  • Capture slaves to replace workers, send the workers back to their home city and disband them - they will be added to the city's pool of recruits.

  • Disband expesible slaves into a city and a fraction of them will be added to the recruits' pool.

  • Build a training ground upgrade in your city to increase the rate of recruitment.

  • If you have extra wood and gold, build a mercenary camp and hire mercenaries - they cost lots of gold but no recruits.
