Ancient aliens from another dimention, an interstellar super-empire or just an anomaly? Nothing has been discovered about Delta Octon currently that refers to their history... yet...

Delta Octon is built up of humanoids known as Kerosers. They are pitch-black; no light can illuminate them. Their “eyes” seem to be glowing white dots, they can see in the dark as well as in a lighten up area. Kerosers are incredibly diverse when it comes to their facial structure; some have it looking similar to a human's face, yet others may possess multiple eyes, mandibles instead of mouths, etc.

The entity is covered by a thin layer of dark matter, thus giving it the pitch-black coloration. Under it there seems to be silicon-based tissue. It is unknown if it can live without its dark matter aura since the only specimen collected was already dead.

A Keroser’s brain seems weirdly symmetrical. It is also much more complex than a regular human, but it is the same size.

Nothing is known about their own celestial bodies or their home world. All that is known is the fact that they seem to reside in the trapeze-like sector at the upper left corner.

Up for speculation.

It is not known what the flag represents, but many see it as vaguely similar to Copper Republic's flag...

Defenses
Most of their vessels are equipped with intricate cloaking devices that prevent enemy ships from detecting them. Only the most sophisticated systems can detect a D8 vessel, like discovery scanners.
All of D8’s vessels are practically EMP proof; they are made of NanoPanels, top-tier armor systems that instead of absorbing the electromagnetic burst and destroying the appliances onboard, it bends it along the whole surface of the ship. This is thanks to the fact that NanoPanels can manipulate the electromagnetic field around them. All harm an EMP can do is disabling connections for a brief period. Tractor beams can also be shocked, thus disrupting them, since Gravitons (the particles tractor beams use to drag objects) are ideal conveyors for electricity, and since there is an exceedingly high number of them in a tractor beam’s manipulation field, it can generate an electric shock that travels through the field to fry the machine.

Main Material
Their equipment is constructed out of a peculiar, incredibly durable polymer. The material’s durability/quality varies for different uses and respective roles. Materials for a firearm are light and have average durability, whereas polymers for a tank are very durable and heavy.

Propulsion
From the information available, D8 vessels appear to use Magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters. Their FTL drives are way more complicated though. These warp drives are capable of reaching FTL speeds in milliseconds relative to spacetime. It is unknown what powers/how the drive works exactly.

Unknown; only two units were ever identified: a Cruiser-sized vessel and a starfighter.

The reason there is almost nothing here is because I just want a framework for later development of the guide.
