The most important part of being able to speedrun this game is to know exactly where to go, and to have all of the puzzle solutions memorized. But there are a couple of other tricks to be aware of as well:

• Some sections have some very tricky platforming jumps. The only advice I can give is to press the jump button as late as possible, which you can only learn through practice, and to hold down the jump button to make sure you get maximum height.
  
• For this route, there is a risk of running out of bits needed to open the interface doors. You should try to collect almost all of the bits from the code blocks you destroy, but if they are difficult to grab, it is OK to leave a couple behind in each room. The only place I go out of my way to harvest bits is in the Upper Waterworks.
  
• When climbing up ladders, mash the jump button to climb faster.
  
• You can fall down tall ladders quickly by jumping. You need to climb down a bit first so that your maximum jump height is below the top of the ladder. Also, you need to let go of the down button before jumping, otherwise you'll catch the ladder.
  
• After completing most interface rooms, you should hold down to reset to quickly return to the entrance.
  
• Remember to press A / Space to skip cutscenes when entering a new room, and also after creating each data block and after inserting each data block into its interface.
