The Sol system

The only solar system known to harbor sapient organisms in the universe, the Sol System has 8 planets, several dwarf planets, large amounts of resource rich asteroids, & an unknown 9th exo-planet in the Kuiper Belt.

Compatibility

These mods are NOT required to run this map, but mods recommended by me and the community that have been added to the world.

Water Mod
There are 3 planets that use the water mod; Earth, Titan, and Minerva. Their water levels are:
Earth - 1.01854
Titan - 1.0125
Minerva - 1.02
If you load into this map without the water mod enabled and you get a graphical bug where the planet looks like a black hole, reload the map with the water mod enabled, go to each of these planets and type "/wremove" when on the surface.

Real Orbits
The base speed in the Real Orbits config file is currently at 1000 times regular speed (110km/s). This is enough to get you from one planet to another in less than an hour @ max velocity. Higher speed mod and/or alternative jump drive mods (ED Frameshift or longer range jump drives) are recommended.

At these high speeds, the chances of you colliding with an asteroid and registering with the game is low (but still possible).

Industrial Overhaul (maybe)
This mod was highly requested in Version 3. A compatibility mod for Industrial Overhaul and the ATA Solar System mod is available in the Sol System Mod Pack. This version is the newest, but still may not definitively work with the map, so use with caution.

Please stop asking about industrial overhaul and how to find stuff where, I don't use it and only tried my best to find compatibility mods for it.

KUIPER BELT

Plutonian System

Minervan System

I made this map because all of the solar systems that I've seen are either really small or gargantuan (some even to scale,) so I decided to make one that would be semi-realistic; to allow you to explore but also jump around the map.

I highly recommend an extended jump drive or a higher speed cap mod so that you don't die in your chair.
The Mod "SEWorldGenPlugin V2" is also recommended if you want to decrease asteroid density.

Feedback is welcome. If you have any suggestions or problems please let me know.

Known Issues:
-Atmospheres of the Planets & Moons are odd/see through; This is from ATA Solar Systems way of projecting atmospheres
-Earth planet mod may spawn with water on it even though the water mod is not enabled
-Earth planet mod overrides skybox
-Earth planet mod creates water every time the world is loaded, regardless of if you've deleted the water before
-Planet Rotate mod causes GPS coordinates to teleport several light minutes away

Hi, I have this most excellent mod/system stood up in Torch in the beginnings of a Sectored server through Nexus and thought I'd best pass on some errors/issues I have with this;

1. Keen: Cannot build prunning tree for heightmap face Steam:1697074695.sbm:ATA 06......Titan_front!
2. Keen: Heightmap resolution must be divisible by 8, and after that a power of 4. Failing to achieve so will disable several important optimizations!!

This repeats for <planet>_Front, Back, Left, Right, Up, Down (whatever they are) for a number of planets, namely;
Titan,
Dione,
Miranda,
Charon,
Obreon,
Rhea,
Iapetus,
Ariel,
Umbriel,
Titania,

I'm not sure what these are but noting the message about lack of divisibility affecting several important optimisations I'm wondering if anything could be done about it to improving performance?

Again, many thanks for this mod. I would love to use this and I hope that the sheer size of it doesn't burn a planet-sized hole in my new server!

What is Hydrogen Solid used for?

How did you generate the image of the solar system in it's entirety? Did you plug co-ordinates into something? Would love to know.

No ore-patches? Can't seem to find a single ore-patch on Earth. Ok, so I'm finding ice, but where is everything else?

@Alexis The Calico Yokai Go ahead and make a remake man, no issues here. Credit would be appreciated but not necessary. Haven't worked on this in a while and don't intend to so bugs are a bit outside of my area.

I'd like to report an issue, when setting the world to survival. None of the Sol System planets show up on the spawn menu. I'm gonna check to see if it's the mods I have on it.

Can I make a rework of this World for my modpack called The Gaia Mission. I wanted to have a preset specifically for the pack so people don't have to manually put stuff in.

I love this world, but I can't add other mods, and I can't save it when I leave it:steamthumbsup:

I am really enjoying playing in this system but none of the notable asteroids that have tried to visit seams to be at the GPS stated in the description. I am not using Real Orbits, so nothing should of moved.

Hi! I like the mod! Except for the sky on earth, I think it's a bit too dark blue. Can you make it lighter just like the original game?
