How to increase FPS in a game on a weak PC
By PUNISHERx7
I will show you how to increase FPS in the game Dying light on a weak PC.
1. Go to the documents folder: and find the Dying light folder. If it is not there, go to the game, play for about 10 minutes, then it will appear.
2. Go to Dying light/out/Settings.
3. We see two files. We are interested in the video.scr file, open it with notepad.
4. Then we see something incomprehensible. Everything is not simple here, we are interested in this line:

Resolution(1920,1080)
Monitor(0)
TextureQuality("Medium")
VisRange(1.00, 1.00)
ShadowMapSize(512)
SpotShadowMapSize(512)
GammaFloat(1.17)
GrassQuality(2)
AmbientOcclusion(0)
MotionBlur(0)
AntiAliasing(0)
DisableDWM(0)
3dtvSettings(-0.150000, 0.000000)
Version(1)

We will work with this line. The first thing we see is the screen resolution. I have 1920x1080, change it to 600x400
Then TextureQuality("Medium") change "medium" to "Low"
Now ShadowMapSize(512) and SpotShadowMapSize(512) in both of these values we change the number from 512 to 64
Next GammaFloat(1.17) instead of 17 enter zero.
Next GrassQuality(2) - change to 0. Next - DisableDWM(1) instead of 1 set to 0

Save and enter the game and fps will be much higher. Important! If you enter the game, play and exit the game, then the graphics settings that we edited will fly off. To prevent this from happening, you need to do something: go back to the documents folder, in short, right-click on this video.scr file - properties - and check the "read only" box and now your graphics settings will not fly off. Enjoy the game.

This is how it should look:

Resolution(600,400)
Monitor(0)
TextureQuality("Low")
VisRange(1.00, 1.00)
ShadowMapSize(64)
SpotShadowMapSize(64)
GammaFloat(1.00)
GrassQuality(0)
AmbientOcclusion(0)
MotionBlur(0)
AntiAliasing(0)
DisableDWM(0)
3dtvSettings(-0.150000, 0.000000)
Version(1)
