So it's 2022 and the state of the pc components market continues to look rather bleak for enthusiasts and first-time rig builders alike, well, worry not, you can still build a gaming worth station for under 1000 bucks. Hear me out:

There are rumors that AMD is going to launch a compatibility patch for the 5000 series chip and the 350 motherboards, if that turns out to be true then my next piece of advice is even better than when I pondered sharing it with you. 
Hey, so back in 2017 I got an amazing value chip in AMD's 1500x which I paired with a Gigabyte GA-AB350M gaming 3 and at the time what I thought was a momentary placeholder for a decent graphics card, well, crypto became more profitable, the varus hit the supply chains and when all was said and done it took me almost 5 years to upgrade my GPU, I bit the bullet and forked up above MSRP to bring this video to you.
 So considering the possible upgrade paths now laid bare in front us by our mistress AMD I think I can recommend for the most destitute among us, a second hand 1500x that will not break your bank, paired with a 350 board if again budgetary constraints are an issue, which should not bottleneck whatever GPU you end up buying from a scalper, giving you more room for upgrading later on while focusing on the graphics renderer side of things for now. You should be able to still build a very decent PC for under 1000 buckos, which is still double of what I'd call a competitive price if you want to flex on them console plebs.

It is said that the RX 6600 XT is not a 4k card but my testing tells me that VR is now definitely on my plate when paired with this 4 core silicon masterpiece that is the 1500X The majority of the tests were done with the CPU @ 3.7GHz OC and at the highest possible resolution, with some settings finessing.

Now I can finally start playing and stop benchmarking.
