Logitech F310 controller slow swing fix! (Includes Legacy Logitech Profiler setup & adjustments)
By Damian
This is the only way I've been able to correct the dreaded swing speed issues(always slow, never fast) that plague the Logitech F310 controller, making the game actually playable and enjoyable. The issue corrected in this guide also applies to any games you're playing using the F310 controller. It seems the controller defaults the axis sensitivities in both the X and D modes to 50% unless adjusted manually in the Legacy Logitech Profiler Software. Unfortunately the axis sensitivities can only be adjusted to 100% for the D(Direct) mode, nullifying the ability to have 100% sensitivity for use in the X mode.

Notes
1) The issue corrected in this guide also applies to any games you're playing using the F310 controller. It seems the controller defaults the axis sensitivities in both the X and D modes to 50% unless adjusted manually in the Legacy Logitech Profiler Software. Unfortunately, the axis sensitivities can only be adjusted to 100% for the D(Direct) mode, nullifying the ability to have 100% sensitivity for use in the X mode.

2) My PC runs at a steady 144 FPS, so I can not guarantee how well this fix works with low end PC's.
Guide
First, download the Legacy Logitech Profiler Software which supports the F310 from the Logitech website here: Logitech Gaming Software (Version 5.10.127)[support.logi.com], and choose either 32 or 64 bit depending on what your OS is running, as seen below(Note: Each section will be accompanied by highlighted images)...

Next, install the Logitech Gaming Software (Version 5.10.127). Once installed, plug in your F310 and make sure the switch on the back is set to direct mode (D)...

Now, open the Logitech Gaming Software (Version 5.10.127), which will take you to the Logitech Profiler and should display the F310 as the controller connected. Click on 'Profile' in the top left, and then click on 'New' to create a new profile...

(Note: A new profile must be created in order to force the profiler to apply our soon to be adjusted settings at all times.)

Within the 'Profile Properties' window, create a profile name where the 'New Game' default option is('PGA TOUR 2K21' is recommended). Then Browse to locate where your game's executable file location is, and select it(this is usually under "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PGA TOUR 2K21\golf.exe", but if yours differs, then adjust accordingly... If you add the game successfully there will be an option to change the game icon for the profile. Do so if you please. Hit 'OK' once complete...

Now all of the axis sensitivities must be changed from 50%, to 100%. These axis' include 'Left Stick X-Axis, Left Stick Y-Axis, Right Stick X-Axis, and Right Stick Y-Axis', which are highlighted in red below...

Click on each of the Axis' highlighted above and select 'Axis Properties' to bring you to the 'Adjust Sensitivity, Deadzone, Range and Mapping' page...

In the 'Properties' section of the 'Adjust Sensitivity, etc...' page, adjust the slider for 'Sensitivity' from 50% to 100%(highlighted in red below) and hit 'OK'. Go back and do this for each of the four axis' noted earlier...

Once all of the required axis sensitivities have been adjusted, it's a good idea to force the profile to be running at all times. Go to 'Options', and select 'Global Profiler Settings..."...

(Note: There's a couple reasons for doing this: 1) When you created a 'New Profile' and selected the game's executable file, there is a small possibility that you may have selected the wrong exe which is possibile for some games that have multiple run files with similar/same looking icons in the same folder. By default, the program initiates a profile automatically only when the said profile's 'chosen' exe file has been launched. If the exe file you selected when the profile was created is the wrong one, the profile will not load and run when you launch the game from the proper exe. 2) I also like to apply a persistent profile because at the very least, I can force the axis sensitivities to always be at 100% for any game I play. If you do this you don't have to go through the process of creating profiles for every single game that you're using the controller with.)

In the 'Global Profiler Settings' page, select 'Apply persistent profile' and choose the profile that was just created('PGA TOUR 2k21') which is highlighted in red below, and hit 'OK'...

(Note: The profile will be running in the background until you manually exit Logitech Profiler, or disconnect the controller. If you just hit the X to close the profiler window, it will just hide it and the program will still be running in the background. If you want to completely shut down the Logitech Profiler, you must select the exit option from your taskbar!)

And that's it! Now load up the game, hit the range, and test 'er out!

You should be able to have a controllable swing speed range from very slow, to very fast with no problems at all now(and a little practice of course!). I hope this guide helps anyone who has struggled to like this game using the Logitech F310. I know not being able to achieve any swing speed above slow was an absolute game breaker for me, as well as many others! I hadn't been able to find any information in regards to this issue, so with a little perseverance while tinkering around endlessly, I'm just happy I was able to solve this mystery, and can now enjoy the golf series I've always loved to play! I felt like it was my duty to share this fix and create this guide so others could enjoy the game also, so here it is! And remember, this sensitivity adjustment also helps with a lot of other games that require it...

Good Luck, and Swing True!

Windows 10 pc and got all the profiler working but in pga2k25 it’s not recognising the controller in d mode - sees it in x mode put under powered joystick - any ideas

Do I have to play with The D mode on? some of my games dont detect the controller that way, is there a fix?

Thank you for the kind words Tribiz! I still use this gamepad(have bought a few, as it really is the simplest solution for PC use!), and it is a mandatory adjustment for many games!

And YakidiYak, I am not sure about the Windows 11 issue, as I am still on 10. I would check if you could run the 'Profiler' software in some kind of compatibility mode by right clicking on the EXE, and search any options available... Let us know if you found/find a solution(or anyone for that matter), please and thank you!

Extremely thankful for you my friend. You found a solution that helped you, but then you went out of your way and took the time to thoroughly explain and share that solution to others. I salute you for your kindness. This made a game playable for many, and also improved the enjoyment in many other games for those of us with a Logitech controller. Good Job!

@Casana, Yes! It works with many other games as well that require the maximum sensitivity(Which the X mode just can't provide with their automatic 50% senstivity for the x and y axis')!

I can't upvote or give awards to this guide because I dont have the game, but I'm so thankful for this. This fixed this issue that I had with this goddamn controller for so long. Thank you so much.

Excellent tip... worked for me.

This software apparently doesn't run on Windows 11. I have 11, and it doesn't show me the profiler, it say version is incorrect or something.

how to switch club during the game with logitech controller?

RamblinRick - Thank you! It definitely works for me, and I hope it does for you! You should be able to 'feel' the swing range and be able to hit within super slow to super fast with ease! I was also going to buy another controller until it 'clicked' in my brain to try the adjustment in D mode. I have many different types of Logitech controllers that are always set to 50% sensitivity by default for some reason...
