Strongarm Stance is a parry, so you should use the training dummy with its attack settings to test it out for yourself.
The way your question is worded, it sounds like its happening to you, and another person? If that's the case, it'd be best to look for whatever's in common with both of your PCs.
If not, some ideas for troubleshooting would be asking some questions like:
-Does it apply to ALL your mouse input (eg. moving it around) or just the buttons?
-Does unplugging and replugging your mouse while the bug is happening change anything?
-Does alt-tabbing out of the game (and/or changing the way the game displays on your pc, like switching from fullscreen to borderless windowed mode) change anything?
However, I'm just taking shots in the dark with those suggestions.
And yeah, if you're comfortable with using additional mouse inputs those can work great as binds, I simply don't because while I have access to a mouse 4 and 5 input, I don't find pressing them with my thumb very comfy.
As for using the bugs, speaking from experience on the Switch you can get used to them and have a lot of fun. Make sure whatever binds you use, you are comfortable with BOTH holding them while pressing attack buttons (for silkbind attacks) and holding them while aiming and pressing the special weapon attack button (for aimed Wiredashes, which are vitally important to properly playing the game) or evades, hence why I suggest a primary and secondary input in this guide.
