Just a quick line to say while creating this guide I dealt with a couple of bugs and although not ideal; I have provided workarounds for these.

Note: I was not going to release this due to the bugs but feel the benefits out way the negatives.

Set Body Scale to it's lowest value 0.980000 and set Head Scale to a value of 1.050000

Saving the project

Tip: To reduce the chances of having to start again or redo work its a good idea to make regular saves when working in any application.

Note: If entering these values in the FLSM Creator skip ahead to next section: *Eyeball Example below:

Medium to Advanced Users
Note: These values can be adjusted in the FLSM Creator using clean precise clicks of the mouse input device, however it is easier to change these by editing the save files XML extension.
Navigate to FLSM Favorites folder and select the File Named Brown Rat.xml right mouse button and select Edit, from the drop down menu. [The file will open in M$ Notepad]

Change to the following values:
<eyePos_L>(-0.013700, 0.004300, 0.016600)</eyePos_L>
<eyePos_R>(0.013700, 0.004300, 0.016600)</eyePos_R>
<eyeScale>(1.367508, 1.367508, 1.367508)</eyeScale>
Save file and exit. Note: in eyePos_L the minus sign is not a typo that need to be there
If doing this on the fly just reload the character if not then launch the game and load the character.

Adding bump maps and textures

Still on the same page heading SKIN AND COLORS
Skin Base: select a value of [5] this will give our character fur
Skin Texture: select a value of [4] Tip: provides a good base color for a brown rat
*Knot Texture = 4 [Tip: provides a good base for a brown rat *when modelling a male rat]
to add a male knot use the Body Tab and from there Select: Genitals adjust, then Select: Misc Tab and from there Select: Skin and Colors will see a new line added in the FLSM creator

Adding appendages
WHISKERS
Whiskers Style value needs to be set to [1] Tip: set color to off-white for best results
for wisker to show on character and set the following values:
SCALE Whiskers [1.000000]
MOVE In\Out [0.140322]
MOVE Up\Down [0.055272]

Note: Due to a bug at the time of writing; the values for SCALE Whiskers may require entering each time the character is loaded in the Character Creator hover mouse over the Scale numerical value and press right mouse button this will re-enable the settings..

Note: BUG at the time of writing; when loading a character with whiskers as PARTNER 1 the game may over write the .xml file example value <whiskersScale>0.000000</whiskersScale> this can be re enabled in the .xml by setting it to <whiskersScale>1.000000</whiskersScale> as a workaround to stop this make the .xml read only once the character is final.

Select: Misc Tab from there Select: Tail
Tail Style: select a value of [6] Requirement: use the grey shader on the edge the color pallet for best results or light pink
Lizard: select a value of [18]

Saving the project

Tip: To add body types for the character Select: Body tab, from the drop down menu Select: Body Basics, use Female 1 or Male 1 these allow body changes only without distorting the face
