Introduction

Welcome to the Dead Estate Uber Guide! This guide is made to give some information to new players but also give some tips that can help anyone and serve as an overall achievement guide. A few things before we get into the nitty gritty, we'll be covering the characters, a little bit of the rooms/floors, the bosses, and all the achievements. We will not be covering all the weapons, items, and common enemies of the game. That being said THIS GUIDE WILL CONTAIN SOME SPOILERS, I won't be showing any spoilers to the story itself but there are certain parts of the game found in this guide that are hidden until you progress through the story. If you don't want to be spoiled play through the game a bit before looking through here, Milkbar Lads and 2 Left Thumbs did a great job with this game and it'd be nice to experience their work yourself :) If you don't care about spoilers or you're ready to move on then let's jump in!

Before we officially get started here's a few important things to mention/note in terms of technicalities of the guide.

- There's 2 different endings you can get that require different paths (one longer than the other), I'll refer to these as the Standard Run and the True Run (which leads to the true ending).

- As of update 1.1.2 the game auto saves in between floors, you can use this to your advantage, I'll call this Reset/Resetting. To do this just quit the game to the main menu and press "Continue", doing this will start you at the beginning of the floor you quit on. Resetting a floor pretty much gives you a fresh start as if you didn't play that floor yet on that run. But doing a Reset also generates a new layout of the floor, items, and weapons.

- Most of these achievements can be done on the easiest difficulty, unless I mention playing on a certain difficulty just assume you'll be finishing the achievements on easy.

- I'll be covering Characters, Floors, and Bosses first, if you're just looking for achievements feel free to jump to the Achievements section.

-All major updates starting with version 1.2 and onward are going to have their own sections. Each of these sections will fit in all the new content for those updates rather than squeezing them into the base guide. I'll also only be covering the content in these updates that are consistent with the overall contents of the guide, so I won't go in depth with things such as new items or weapons as I don't cover those areas in this guide. However, I may quickly mention any of those new topics or features without going in depth.
Characters and Costumes

Dead Estate has a colorful cast of 8 characters to play, each with different starting health, agility (movement speed and jump height), and starting weapon! Every character also has an alternate costume you can unlock. Here we'll go over each characters stats, how to unlock the characters, and how to unlock their alternate costumes!

Jeff

Base Health: 8
Agility: Slow
Weapon: Handgun, 12dps

How to Unlock: Default character, already unlocked

Gnome Jeff

How to Unlock: As Jeff, clear Dark Moon Woods on 'Painful' difficulty.
-Dark Moon Woods is the 1st alternate route you can encounter, complete that floor on Painful difficulty to get gnomed!

Jules

Base Health: 4
Agility: Fast
Weapon: Shotgun, 9dps per bullet, shoots 5 bullets in a spread

How to Unlock: Default character, already unlocked

Ballistic Jules

How to Unlock: As Jules, defeat Chunks on the final floor in under 1 minute.
-You'll most likely unlock this one very easily, Jules is one of the first two characters you can play and you won't need more than 1 minute to beat the Chunks boss.

Cordelia

Base Health: 6
Agility: Average
Weapon: Wand, 18dps
*She can float in the air after jumping, all weapons she finds will be wands*

How to Unlock: Clear the game as both Jules and Jeff.
-Also pretty easy to unlock, just finish a Standard Run with both Jeff and Jules

Grad. Cordelia

How to Unlock: Reach The Kitchen with Cordelia.
-Go up the elevator to the Kitchen while you're playing as Cordelia

Fuji

Base Health: 8
Agility: Average
Weapon: Boxing Gloves, 24 dps
*She can't carry any other weapon, she can also dash in the air by punching and holding the weapon recycle button during a jump*
NOTE: Fuji's Boxing Gloves don't count toward melee weapon achievements, also items that enhance bullets work with her Boxing Gloves.

How to Unlock: Have over 12 maximum HP at once.
-Can be obtained with any character but it's much easier to pick a character with high base health and just upgrade HP at the Doctor. Jeff is a good character since everyone has him and starts with 8 base HP.

Senator Fuji

How to Unlock: As Fuji, knock out Chunks on every possible floor that you visit.
-Stick to a Standard Run for this one, if you go to any alternate floors or loop a run you'd have to knock him out each time. Fuji does a lot of damage and on a Standard Run you'd only have to knock him out on 4 floors. I'll have some tips for knocking out Chunks in the Bosses section of the guide.

Luis

Base Health: 6
Agility: Slow
Weapon: Magnum, 23 dps
*He can carry an additional secondary weapon so he can hold 2 other weapons aside from his base Magnum*

How to Unlock: Clear a looped run.
-Self explanatory, when you reach the Balcony floor just go to the ledge at the very bottom left room and jump off to start the loop.

Stan

How to Unlock: As Luis, complete a looped run without ever picking up a heart.
-For this one play it slow, try your best to be far away from any enemies you kill or pots you break. If a heart is in the way of a door just wait for it to disappear. It's also possible that you might pick up a heart if an enemy dies right on top of you, if you picked up a heart or you aren't sure just Reset and do the floor again.

Mumba

Base Health: 2
Agility: Fast
Weapon: Handgun, 14 dps

How to Unlock: Discover the strange creature in the vat in the laboratory.
-On the 4th floor (Laboratory) look for a room with a blue canister in the middle, shoot the canister to unlock Mumba

Monster Mumba

How to Unlock: As Mumba, reach the Exit Realm on 'Painful' difficulty.
-The Exit Realm is the last full floor you'll clear at the end of a True Run, you just need to enter that floor on Painful difficulty to unlock this costume. This one can be tough to unlock because of Mumba's low health, luckily Mumba has enough fire rate, damage, and mobility for his survival. Prioritize investing in as many things that can give you more maximum health as possible. On the first floor buy health upgrades from the Doctor or buy items that boost health from the Item Shop if there are any. Don't worry too much on damage and invest in that when you feel confident about your survivability.

Lydia

Base Health: 5
Agility: Average
Weapon: Pepper Spray, 4 dps per tick
*She starts with $200 but loses $1 per second, when she runs out of money she'll start to lose health. However she receives significantly more money and is rewarded health and a free item for every $600 she obtains*

How to Unlock: Clear a run with over $1,000 in your pockets.
-For this one you just have to have over $1000 on you when you complete your run, if you have a decently strong build early enough then you can start saving your money to unlock Lydia.

J.S. Lydia

How to Unlock: As Lydia, clear a run without breaking a single pot.
-Best way to unlock this costume is to take your run slow, completing a Standard Run would be recommended. Be careful of shooting at enemies with your Pepper Spray, if an enemy is too close to a pot quickly tap the fire button to just set the enemy on fire and slow burn them. It will still count if you damage a pot, as long as you don't break one, if you do break a pot just Reset the floor.

Digby

Base Health: 4
Agility: Fast
Weapon: Baseball Bat, 20 dps
*He has lower jump height but can double jump and can only carry melee or throwing weapons. Killing enemies will start raising a combo, the higher the combo you get more movement speed and faster attack speed and heal once a high enough combo is broken. Going into a new room resets your combo to half so you can keep your combo going by moving back and forth between rooms.*
NOTE: Digby's attacks shoot out a small wave that can destroy enemy projectiles. Also items that enhance bullets work with Digby's Baseball Bat.

How to Unlock: Collect the Backpack, Ballcap, and Scouts Badge on Floor 3.
-All the items will be found on this floor and are not items that will show up on your item list

Funkin' Digby

How to Unlock: As Digby, destroy... "something" in the Attic Sanctum.
-On the 3rd Floor (Attic Sanctum) look for a room with an arcade machine in the middle, break the arcade machine to unlock the costume.
Floors and Rooms

In this section we'll quickly go over the Floors and Rooms types you'll find on your runs. As well as some tips for some of the rooms. I'll put the Floors in order you'd find them if you were going through a True Run.
________________________________________________________________

Before I quickly cover all the room types we'll quickly go over Secret Rooms.

Every floor will have at least 1 secret room, in higher difficulties the Item and Weapon Shop will be hidden as Secret Rooms and would help your run if you can quickly find them. Here's what to look out for:

Upon entering a room, if there's a secret room, you'll see a shadow of a room entrance that quickly fades, those are the entrances to the secret room. If the secret room is on one of the walls toward the floor (south-west and south-east) you'll see a small shadow of an entrance on the edge of the floor. If it's on one of the walls toward the back (north-west and north-east) you'll see a shadow of a door, the shadow will flash if you stay in the room long enough.

Lastly, secret rooms will never be connected to rooms of importance (starting, treasure, weapon, key, challenge, teleporter, and shop rooms). They will also never be in spaces that would connect a secret room to 2 rooms. Basically they'll only be in spots where the room will be by itself. Keeping these in mind you'll know where to look and be able to spot secret rooms pretty fast.

Update: As of 1.6 Secret Rooms can now be connected to certain rooms of importance as well as multiple rooms in some cases.

Now with that out of the way, onward to the rest of the rooms!

The Doctor is where you can upgrade your Health, Agility, Strength, or buy Ambrosia to heal. Each stat can be upgraded 4 times priced at $200, $275, $350, $425. The Doctor can be found on Floors 1, 3, and Exit Realm.

The Gun Shop is where you can buy a secondary weapon, the merchant will sell 3 random guns per floor. You can find the Gun Shop on Floors 2, 4, and Exit Realm.

The Item Shop is where you can buy passive items, she'll sell you 3 random items, a map, and ambrosia for healing. You can find the Item Shop on every floor except alternate floors 1-4.

Challenge Rooms can yield an item or two as long as you can defeat all the enemies that spawn within 40 seconds. You can find one Challenge Room on every floor.

Treasure Rooms give you a random passive item.

Weapon Rooms give you a random secondary weapon.

Secret Rooms hold presents that usually contain money but can also contain a passive item or a weapon.

Key Rooms contain the key that opens the door to the boss of the floor.

Crystal/Teleporter Rooms have a crystal in the middle that you can break to take you back to the starting room.

Finally I'll go over the floors needed to clear for a True Run in order.
NOTE: The Alt floors are unlocked when you beat the game with Cordelia for the first time.

Floor 1: Ground Floor

Alt floor 1: Dark Mood Woods
NOTE: This is the floor needed to be cleared on Painful difficulty to unlock Gnome Jeff

Floor 2: Upper Story

Alt floor 2: Forsaken Crypt

Floor 3: Attic Sanctum
NOTE: This is the floor you can find the arcade machine to unlock Funkin' Digby

Alt floor 3: Old Set
NOTE: Picking up the key will start the sequence to run to the boss room, also Chunks is invincible so you don't need to knock him out on this floor to unlock Senator Fuji.

Floor 4: Laboratory
NOTE: This is the floor you can find the blue canister to unlock Mumba

Alt floor 4: Sunken Ship

Point of No Return: The Balcony
This is the floor where you can start a loop

Floor 5: Dead Estate
This is the final floor for the Standard Run

Floor Final: Exit Realm
NOTE: This is the floor you must reach on Painful difficulty to unlock Monster Mumba

The End: Sacrificial Grounds
Bosses

In this section I'll be going over the bosses you'll encounter on each floor as well as a few tips on some of the bosses I think are a bit more problematic.
________________________________________________________________

First and foremost we need to talk about the elephant (or giant mouse) in the room, Chunks.

Chunks will be a looming threat you'll be facing on every floor. On higher difficulties he spawns and moves much faster so dealing with him becomes a necessity. When you try to damage Chunks you'll see that you're doing 0 damage but you can actually knock him out if you keep up the attack, it'll take a lot of fire power though. These are a few things I did that made it easier to deal with Chunks:

- On lower difficulties where you have a bit of time before he shows up, find a few rooms on the floor that are relatively clear of hazards and pick a path to follow. The damage you do on Chunks stays as long as you're still on the floor so switching rooms can provide some space between you and the beast while you keep up the damage. NOTE: When Chunks finally shows up he will come out of the room entrance you came out of (yes this can include shops).

- Once a floor starts, try to find a shop room as fast as you can. Chunks can't follow you into a shop and if you don't want to fight him, you can use shops to give you some time to move around the floor. When you enter a shop just wait a few seconds for his footsteps to go away then you'll have a little bit of time to move somewhere else. If you're out on the floor and you hear his footsteps you can just keep moving to different rooms, sometimes that actually gets him to go away from you for a bit.

- On the highest difficulty Chunks spawns right away so you might need to deal with him in a room with enemies, this can be helpful. As long as there are enemies in the same room Chunks will move much slower until the enemies are clear. If you're able to find a room with an enemy that's easy to avoid, keep the enemy alive and run circles around the room to do damage to Chunks. Just be careful, Chunks might accidentally run into those enemies and do damage to them. If he takes them out and the room clears of enemies he'll speed up immediately.

Another thing to note:

The Glitchy Chunks you encounter on the 3rd alternate floor (Old Set) is invincible so you don't need to bother trying to knock him out. Since he's invincible you don't need to knock him out on this floor if you're trying to unlock Senator Fuji.

Hopefully these tip can help out in dealing with Chunks, best of luck, now onto the bosses!
I'll be listing the bosses in order of appearance if you're going through a True Run.

Ultraclot is 1 of 2 possible boss encounters on Floor 1. This is an easy boss, just keep your distance and move when it jumps.

Queen Infester is the other possible boss encounter on Floor 1. This is also an easy boss, she moves around, spawns a minion, spits some blood and repeat. Just keep your distance and you'll be fine.

Pumpkin Prince is the alt floor 1 boss. He'll jump toward you then for his first attack he'll jump and create a shockwave of vines to jump over. For his second attack he sits still and sends vines that home in toward you, just keep moving and you can avoid it.

Leviathan Egg is 1 of 2 possible boss encounters on Floor 2. Easy boss, spawns 2 of those swinging mace knights, then does a short bullet hell attack, followed by spawning 4 swinging mace knights. Keep your distance if you can and you'll be fine.

The Resident is the other possible boss encounter on Floor 2. This boss is easy but can be a bit cheap at times. It'll start the fight invisible and pop up close to you, if you're moving around you might get hit. Wait until it shows itself before you start moving and just shoot in it's direction.

The Golden Mask is the boss of alt floor 2, you can easily beat him without taking damage. Its first attack sends each of it's fists to slam down on top of you, just keep moving and you'll avoid it. Second attack will try to slam both fists together to squish you, wait until the fists are flashing then move up or down. Last attack has the hands raining blood while following you, just run in a circle to avoid it. After that just attack its face and repeat 2 more times.

Pierrot is the boss of Floor 3 and probably the most annoying boss in the game. He starts by jumping toward you then jumping up off screen to slam down and shoot a few projectiles. He'll repeat this until you do enough damage to pop his ball. Once his ball is popped he'll run around the room crying damaging tears. This phase can be problematic because of how unpredictable and fast he runs around the room. Try to stay in either the left or right side of the room and shoot at him, if he runs toward you try to jump over him and get to a safe side.

The Glitch boss is the boss of alt floor 3. Its first attack spawns glitch enemies that walk toward you, just clear them out. Second attack it tries to slam down on top of you then spawns leaches, move around to avoid the slam then clear the leaches. Then it'll zoom past your screen from left to right, each time it zooms it will go to your position. There's a sound cue when it's about to zoom, when you hear it just move either up or down to get out of the way. It'll then split into a lot of blobs, now you can damage it, take out as many as you can then repeat.

The Experiment is the boss of Floor 4. It goes underground and spawns fists where you were standing, it then pops up and spits damaging blood pools on the floor. Dodge the blood pool projectiles and shoot him whenever you can.

Kraken is the boss you'll find on alt floor 4. It's got three attacks, first it does a bullet hell of ink, it'll then spawn a wall of tentacles on one side of the room that slides to the other side. Jump over or move through the gap in the wall to avoid this. For its last attack it goes under water and tries to bring up a ton of tentacles from under you. Look for an empty spot in the room to avoid this attack.

Chunks is the final boss of a Standard Run. He has 2 bullet hell attacks and 1 charge attack. Just keep moving and shoot him with the rocket launcher as soon as Cordelia drops it for you.

Diavola is the final boss of the game and she has 2 phases. Her first phase is actually simple, as long as you keep moving and jumping you can avoid all her attacks. Her second phase throws in some bullet hell attacks but once her eye comes down you'll be able to do damage. A lot more jumping during this phase but you should be able to beat her pretty fast most of the time once she's vulnerable.

This section will be covering all the achievements in the game. You'll get most of these achievements on your own by just playing the game. I'll be adding notes/tips on the ones that are a little harder.

Fill My Wallet
Carry over $2,000 at once

Fill My Vault

Die
Die

Without a Hitch
Complete a run without taking any damage

- This is probably the hardest achievement in the game, but using the Reset trick makes it much easier. You can use any character you're comfortable with but I recommend Mumba since his only weakness is low health which doesn't matter in a 'no hit' run. Do a Standard Run for this, if you get hit once Reset immediately to start the floor over again, this also works for the final Chunks boss.
NOTE: Try not to pick up any items that increase maximum health, I think the game counts having missing health as taking damage even if you didn't take damage from an enemy. One run I tried to do; I bought a Health upgrade from the Doctor that put me at 2/3 HP, I didn't get hit once but didn't get the achievement when I finished the run.

Kill 6+ enemies with less than a second gap between each kill

Leap off the balcony and loop your run

Again?!
Loop twice in a single run

Collector
Collect 15+ items in a single run

Hoarder
Collect 25+ items in a single run

Klepto
Collect 35+ items in a single run

Window Shopper
Complete a run without ever using a shopkeeper

- You're able to enter the shop rooms just as long as you don't interact with the shopkeeper (these shops do include anyone you can exchange currency with like the Doctor, Bank, and Toilet for example), this can help if you're trying to avoid Chunks. Item, weapon, challenge, and secret rooms are fine, you can get your items from there.

Roided Out
Max out all your stats with Dr. Cordelia

Scrap Metal
Destroy 5+ weapons in a single run

Happy Halloween
Play the game on Halloween (October 31)

- Changing the date on your computer works

Milkbar Lads #1 Fan!

Note: This achievement has been replaced with a different achievement from the Goodnight Update
Dead Estate CLEARED!

I hope this guide was able to help! This game isn't incredibly hard but I had a lot of fun playing through the game and making this guide. If there's anything I missed or something I didn't mention that you experienced, feel free to discuss! Oh and make sure to check out the Gallery once you get 100%!

1.2 Home Theater

We're back to the estate to see our colorful cast of characters in a new perspective! As the first major update of the game after it's 1.0 release, Milkbar Lads gave us a ton of new stuff to enjoy and play with. Although I'll only be covering a few topics from this update that I've covered in this guide before, I would like to quickly mention the other things that have been added.
________________________________________________________________

- This update gave us new cutscenes for each of the characters and you can watch them in the movie gallery found in the extras menu. We've also been given new game over screens depending on the character/costume you're using.

- There are 11 new enemies, 33 new items, and 25 new weapons!!
________________________________________________________________

Now onto the rest of the new content!

NEW SHOP

Cybil is a new shopkeeper that has a chance of spawning in Alt floors 1, 2, and 4. Her shop is found the same way you'd find a secret room and her shop will be indicated with a green "?" on the minimap once found.
Note: Unlike secret rooms, her shop can be connected to other rooms including secret rooms themselves. It won't be too different from finding regular secret rooms but keep your eyes peeled!

She will sell you 4 random passive items of various prices that are hidden.

I'd also like to quickly add that they've included a new room in this update that seems to be a bedroom. Currently the room has no function aside from a comment from your character upon entering but from my understanding, this room is setting up to implement an ARG in a future update.

NEW BOSSES

R̵͉͙̭̜͑͆͊͜U̴̩̪̫͈͉̿̍͊͊͝N̶̗̜̲͙̭̑̀̍

Before covering the new bosses I would like to go in depth on one of the new enemies added to this update. This is the Portrait Demon! It most commonly spawns on looped runs but can very rarely spawn on non-looped runs. It behaves very much like Chunks as it will chase you once it spawns. Here's what you need to know about this...this...THING!

-The Portrait Demon is an invincible entitiy that will chase you similar to how Chunks chases you. However, if it touches you, it will bring you down to 1HP and despawn on the spot. It will be back though...

- Although it behaves like Chunks it does NOT replace him. It is possible to have them both chasing you at the same time.

-Unlike Chunks, this thing will follow you into safe areas like shops or during a challenge room so be careful!

-It's fairly slow and will eventually despawn and leave you alone for a little bit. My best suggestion if it's possible is to find an empty room or a room that you've cleared with no traps in it and go around the room in a circle while it follows you until it despawns.
Note: It can come from off screen through the walls so if it spawns while you're in a room full of enemies, make sure to keep an eye on it as you're clearing out that room.

-If you have a passive item that blocks damage it is possible to block the hit from the Portrait Demon and prevent getting taken down to 1HP for that instance.

Hope that helps a bit in dealing with this terrifying demon, now onto the new bosses!

The Nataleviathan is a new possible boss encounter on Floor 3. It starts the fight with a big jump into the air and slamming down on your location letting out an expanding ring that you need to jump over. It'll then follow up with an attack that rains green projectiles from above. Some will be slower in a more random pattern and others will be faster in a circle pattern that gets smaller as each circle hits the floor. I suggest using the shadows of the projectiles on the floor and try to stand in the center of the faster falling circles. once the circles are small enough you can run to the outside to avoid getting hit before it closes in. Finally, it has an attack that shoots a big green blob that tracks you. This blob will shrink and eventually go away but the only way to avoid it is to keep moving.
Note: The blob projectile will still linger and follow you even if the boss dies so make sure you're still moving until it's gone if you still see it.

The other boss of this update is none other than the cult chief and new shopkeeper herself: Cybil! You can find Cybil as a possible boss encounter on Floor 4. She starts the fight by flying at you from the side off screen. She'll then float a bit in the air while creating a spinning circle of 6 blood projectiles at her feet. The projectiles will grow and pulse from her as she floats until they grow larger to which each projectile launches toward you one at a time. You should be fine as long as you keep moving and avoiding the projectiles as best as you can.

Fun Fact: If you visit Cybil's shop again after beating her once she'll be bandaged up. YOU DID THIS TO HER!

________________________________________________________________

That's all I have for the Home Theater update, if there's anything I'm missing or have any questions please feel free to discuss. Thank you everyone again for the support for this guide!!
1.3 Bombs Away

The team at Milkbar Lads are back and as EXPLOSIVE as ever with Dead Estate's second major update! There's quite a bit to cover for this update and as always I'll only be covering the content that's consistent with this overall guide. However, before I get into the nitty gritty I will like to mention that this update gives us 4 new enemies, 16 new items, and 6 new weapons to play around with! And with that let's get to the other fun stuff!!

________________________________________________________________

NEW CHARACTER

A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES!

BOSS
Base Health: 4
Agility: Slow
Weapon: Grenades, 18 dps each
Note: BOSS can only have 7 grenades on the floor at a time, if another is thrown then the first grenade will explode. Grenade explosions can cause other grenades to explode if in close enough proximity. However, you can manually detonate all grenades on the floor via the weapon swap/discard button or the scroll wheel. Grenades will also detonate immediately upon direct impact.

How to unlock: Find the wanted poster.

-The wanted poster can be found in a couple of the new subfloors from this update. All you have to do is walk up to it to unlock BOSS.

Prison BOSS
How to unlock: As BOSS, kill a boss in under ten seconds.
-BOSS does a lot of damage, this should be easy once you get some items and damage.

NEW FLOORS

Before getting into the brand new floors added in 1.3 I want to talk a bit about the new floor variants that have also been added! Any of the floors you go to can have a chance to be one of three variants which each add an extra level of challenge.

-Flooded floors will make enemies slower while also making you more slippery. There's also a high likelyhood you'll see Fish enemies spawning alongside the normal enemies you'd find.

-Burning Floors will sometimes spawn enemies on fire, burning enemies will also sometimes fall from the ceiling. The variation of enemies that fall from above can be enemies from any of the other floors, they can also fall down on empty or cleared rooms. Some pots will also be combustible and explode when destroyed.

-Dark Floors just make the whole floor incredibly dark and harder to see. Light source items either don't work or don't work as well on these floors. Enemies on these floors can also sometimes spawn translucent.

These floor variants aren't brand new floors specifically but they do add a little something to the floors we've been so used to playing. But now we will get into the brand new floors!

In the Bombs Away update they've given us 5 new bonus floors, or "subfloors" as they call it.

- Firstly, you'll know there's a way to one of the subfloors when you see this special elevator room. These special elevators have a chance of spawning on any given floor but it's not guaranteed.

- Secondly, you can tell which subfloor the special elevator goes to based off of how the room looks like.

Some of these were a bit harder to find than others that in some runs I had to loop several times. I'm not sure what the odds are to finding some of them but I'll list the ones I encounter from most to least in order.

The Bathroom

The Bathroom was one of the most common subfloors I kept encountering but I did notice that the odds of encountering this subfloor was influenced by an item, Toilet Paper!!

- In this subfloor you'll find the toilet shop, the toilet sells you 3 items from a unique new pool of items that have rare and powerful effects. Each of the items will be sold for 1 Toilet Paper each.

Last thing about the Bathroom is that it's one of the subfloors that you can find the wanted poster to unlock BOSS.

The Bank

The Bank was the next most common subfloor I would encounter. What the Bank allows you to do is to store money for future runs. You can either withdraw or deposit in increments of $200 as much as you'd like.
Note: There is an item that guarantees an elevator to the Bank, if picked up this item does not take up the chances for a normal special elevator spawn that would go elsewhere. The Bank elevator from this item will be it's own separate spawn.

The Arena
The Arena is the next subfloor we'll discuss here. I encountered the Arena as much as I'd see the Bank. The Arena is essentially a Boss Rush Challenge Room. You'll be given a set amount of time to kill 5 bosses and the prize at the end is a reward of either 4 or 5 passive items.
Note: Failure to finish the Boss Rush within the time limit will unlock the doors for you to leave but the boss will remain even if you exit and re-enter the room. Killing the leftover boss after the time limit will not grant you the item rewards.

The Basement

The Basement was a little less common for me to find compared to the previously mentioned subfloors. But the Basement itself is self explanatory, when you enter the room at the end of this subfloor you'll be greeted with 8 elevators. 4 of the elevators goes to the normal floors and the other 4 go to the alternate floors. This subfloor lets you go to whichever floor you like.

The Kitchen

The Kitchen is the last subfloor I encountered and it was the one I found the least. Here you'll find Cordelia's mom as a shop that sells 5 food-related items. In that same room you can also find 3 food-related items that you can pick up for free.

________________________________________________________________

This update has a lot of content to unpack and this is all I'm able to cover for this section. I'm going to post the new achievements in a separate section. But with that I hope everyone enjoys the 1.3 update and thank you again for the support with this guide!
1.3 Bombs Away Achievements
In this section I'm going to talk about the 14 new achievements they've added to the Bombs Away patch, lets get into it!

________________________________________________________________

Master of the House
Clear the Arena.

- You can get this one easily as long as you go up to the Arena and clear the Boss Rush.

The Kingpin
Find the wanted poster.

- This one is easy once you find the wanted poster, all you have to do is walk up to it. You can find the wanted posters in either the Bathroom or the Kitchen subfloors.

The Inmate
As BOSS, kill a boss in under ten seconds.

- BOSS does a lot of damage, I'm sure you'll get this naturally especially once you get some items.

No More Heroes
Beat the game as BOSS.

Blast Damage Days
Get the true ending as BOSS.

Gigaton
As BOSS, obtain 10+ explosive-related items.

- This one is probably the most time consuming achievement of the bunch since it relies on luck. The items you're going to need are passive items that have the word "explosion", "explosive", or "explode" in their description. There are some weapons that have "explosion" in their description and they DO NOT count toward the 10 that you need. BOSS always starts with Second Chance and a random explosive-related item so you start off with 2 and have to get at least 8 more. Having duplicate explosive-related items also count toward the 10. My best suggestion in order to have a little more control for getting this achievement is to check the shop on the floor and if there is no explosive-related item then Reset that floor. Once you're able to find and purchase one then move to the next floor and repeat the process. You can do looped runs but if your luck isn't that great and you need to go through several loops it'll just make the game harder and harder. I personally completed this achievement through looping but by loop 3 or 4 the enemies started getting a little too tanky for the build I had and I had to do the Reset trick for the 10th item. At least if you do the Reset trick you can possibly complete this anywhere from 0-2 loops.

Toilet Humor
Purchase an item using Toilet Paper in the Bathroom

Occupied!
Buy the toilet's entire stock in the Bathroom

-This one can take a little bit of time depending on your chances of getting Toilet Paper. You're going to have to hold 3 TP to bring to the shop in order to buy out the entire stock. The toilet's stock refreshes with each visit like any other shop so you'd have to buy out the stock in one go.

________________________________________________________________

- For the next 6 achievements they just require larger and larger amounts of money stored in the bank. You can easily get these given you're always visiting the bank and depositing money, items that help you net more money and doing looped runs can speed up the process.

Just Getting Started
Store $200 in the bank.

Humble Beginnings
Store $1,000 in the bank.

Safety Net
Store $2,000 in the bank.

Money Maker
Store $5,000 in the bank.

Nest Egg
Store $10,000 in the bank

Rich
Store $20,000 in the bank.

________________________________________________________________

Those were all 14 of the new achievements and the end of the 1.3 content for this guide. As always, if there's something I missed please feel free to discuss. Thank you again to everyone for reading and supporting this guide!!

1.4 Heaven and Hell

We're back to the estate with another heavenly update that'll give us one hell of a time in Dead Estate's third major update! There's lots to cover this time around but before we dive in I'd like to quickly mention that alongside what we're covering here they've also added 10 new items, 5 new weapons, and 2 new enemies! Now let's take a look at the rest of the exciting new stuff!

________________________________________________________________

Chunks Medallions

First thing we're going to cover is the centerpiece of this update which are the new Chunks Medallions (CM)! These medallions are a new currency you accumulate over multiple runs and are used to purchase from the new shops we'll cover later on in this guide. This new system is intended to be a little bit of a long term progression. Let's go over how you get these new medallions and how much you can obtain.

First and foremost you'll be able to obtain Chunks Medallions after finishing your runs. The difficulty will determine how many medallions you'll get at the end of your run and they're listed as such.
Too Young to Die: 1 CM
Normal: 2 CM
Painful: 3 CM
Nightmare: 4 CM
X Must Die: 5 CM
On top of this if you complete a True Run you'll get an additional 2 medallions on top of the base you get from the difficulty you played through. For example, if I played on X Must Die for 5 medallions and finished it in a True Run for an additional 2 then I'll come out with 7 medallions total at the end of that run.

Lastly you can also get an additional CM for knocking out Chunks during your run. You're only able to get 1 medallion per knockout per run regardless of looping. However, if you do the Reset trick, it'll reset the knockout count and you can obtain another medallion. Once you obtain a medallion it's yours even if you don't finish the run.

You're going to need a minimum of 81 medallions to get all the Curses for the current 9 characters in the game. That's a lot of medallions! But if you're looking to unlock the Curses or just stack up as many medallions as possible, here's what you can do to get them as quickly as possible.

- Choose a character you're most comfortable with that you'd be able to knock out Chunks. (If you need more tips on knocking out Chunks, see the "Bosses" section of this guide). Play on the hardest difficulty as this will prompt Chunks to spawn immediately so you don't have to wait. Play through the run and try to get enough items until you feel strong enough to knock out Chunks quickly. (If you have enough money in the Bank and have an opportunity to go, withdrawing some money to be able to buy more items can help). When you get to this point then do the Reset trick to get another medallion and repeat the process until you have the amount you want. This process still is a little time consuming but it seems to be the quickest way to get CMs.

Hope this helps understand the new mechanic a lot more but now lets look at what you can use this new currency for!

________________________________________________________________

Curses and Blessings
Curses are a new mechanic that is meant to slightly alter the way each character is played. Each character has 3 individualized Curses that grant them a positive and a negative effect. We'll go over the specific effects in the C Costumes section.

Blessings is a somewhat counterpart mechanic to Curses in that they remove the negative effects of said Curses. However, unlike the Curses, Blessings are temporary! When you buy a Blessing you'll have a timer under your character to show you how long you have left before your Blessing runs out.
Note: You CAN stack the timer for the Blessing. You just need to find another Heavenmart shop and buy more.

New Shops

Hellmart

First of the two new shops we have is the Hellmart! This shop will start spawning once you've obtained at least 1 Chunks Medallion. The Hellmart also only spawns during a looped run.

Meet Filia, our new shopkeeper from hell! Her shop sells the 3 individualized curses of the character you're currently playing. Each Curse costs 3 CM across all characters. If you visit her again after you buy out the shop everything will be greyed out and you can't buy anything else since you can only buy Curses once.

Heavenmart

Our other new shop is the Heavenmart! This shop also starts spawning once you've obtained at least 1 Chunks Medallion. Unlike the Hellmart, you don't need to loop before Heavenmart can start spawning.

Meet the lovely Faith, the heavenly shopkeeper! She sells 2 Blessings and 3 random items that cost 2 CM each. As for the Blessings she sells, as mentioned previously, they are temporary timed buffs.
Meager Blessing (2 CM): Removes the negative effects of all curses for 5 minutes
Heavenly Blessing (5 CM): Removes the negative effects of all curses for 15 minutes.
When you buy Blessings they will be greyed out and can't be repurchased, you would have to find another Heavenmart to buy more blessings.
________________________________________________________________

That was a quick rundown of the new core mechanics from this update. In the next section we'll be focusing on the new C costumes and the effects of each individual curse for the current 9 characters!
1.4 C Costumes and Curses

This section will be covering all the C Costumes, all the Curses, and how to obtain them. There are some things to discuss before we jump into all the costumes.

- Firstly, getting all the Curses can take a bit of time. Since you need to reach the Hellmart through a looped run and the shop only sells your current characters Curses. This means you have to do a looped run with every character in order to buy all their Curses. However, you do NOT need to complete the run in order for the Curses you bought to be saved. I suggest to start getting the curses when you have enough CM to buy out the shop for a character. (See the Chunks Medallion section of the 1.4 guide for tips on how to get more CM).

The best way I found for getting the Curses is playing on the easiest difficulty. Follow a Standard Run route to reach the Balcony as quickly as possible so you can loop your run. Once looped, start clearing through the floor until you find the Hellmart. Once you buy out the shop you can just quit your run and move on to the next character. You do NOT need to complete the run in order for your Curses that you bought to save.

-Next, regarding the C Costumes, they are ALL unlocked by completing a run with a character while having all of that character's individual Curses active.

The fastest way I found to do this is to play on the easiest difficulty and finish a Standard Run. Having the Curses active does slightly change how each character is played but it's not too big of a difference, most of them practically play the same.

Ok, now that's out of the way, let's get into the C Costumes and all the Curses for each of the characters!

1.5 Axe to Grind

Back to the estate again with another hackin' update with Dead Estate's fourth major update! This is a smaller update so there's not as much to cover this time around but there are a couple things to note. This update brought a lot of bug fixes and balance adjustments, among the list of changes one of the new changes mentioned is a couple changes to Chunks. He has a new move where he jumps up and slams the ground and releases a ring you need to jump over just like the opening move of the Nataleviathan boss. Chunks also now heals when you enter a new room while he's chasing you. The weapon shop also sells ammunition now. The list goes on and there's a lot more adjustments that you can see in the patch notes that won't be covered here. With that being said let's get on to the meat of the update!
________________________________________________________________

NEW CHARACTER

A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES!

Axel
Base Health: 4
Agility: Average
Weapon: 2 hatchets, 10 dps each, 22 dps when charged
Note: When throwing Axel's charged hatchets it goes through enemies and damages on each contact. He also has access to a hidey hole safe room located once you start each floor. The hideout will have a present in the middle (same as you'd find in secret rooms) and a bunch barrels that could either contain hearts or ammo.

How to unlock: Find Axel's secret hideaway
- On floor 2 you might find a room with a hatch that says you need a silver key to open it. The silver key in question is the Coffin Key. You'd have to go through the floors toward a true run to assemble the Coffin Key then loop your run to return back to Floor 2 and use the key on the hatch. Once you go down the hatch you'll unlock Axel!

Costumes

No More Axel
How to unlock: As Axel, find and pick up a Laser Blade.
- This is a bit luck based but you could keep Resetting a floor until you find one in a weapon room.

Master Axel
How to unlock: Complete a run with every individual Curse enabled as Axel.

Curse of the Vain
+ Increases Axel's chance of finding more valuable items.
- Cordelia's shop becomes more expensive for Axel.

Curse of the Hunk
+ Makes Axel's charged axe throws more powerful.
- Increases Axel's axe charge time.

Curse of the Cool
+ Changes Axel's default weapon to the Ice Hatchets.
- Makes Axel's uncharged axe throws weaker.

________________________________________________________________

That was all the big stuff from this update, not too much new stuff aside from the new character but a nice addition nonetheless! As always achievements are going to be split into another section, I appreciate the support and hope everyone enjoys the new character!
1.5 Axe to Grind Achievements
This section is going to cover the 7 new achievements they've added to the Axe to Grind patch! Most of the achievements this time around is self explanatory and/or covered in the previous section as most of them are tied to Axel but I'll be explaining the ones that aren't. That being said let's get into it!

________________________________________________________________

???
Find a place to rest

- This achievement is pretty simple to get, you just have to enter the bedroom which you'll find on Floor 2 after you loop your run. (See the 1.2 Home Theater section of this guide)

The Hunk
Find the secret hideaway

The Crownless King
As Axel, find and pick up a Laser Blade.

The Teacher
Complete a run with every individual Curse as Axel.

Punk Rock Loser
Beat the game as Axel.

No More Mr. Nice Guy
Get the true ending as Axel.

Lumberjack
As Axel, deal 100+ damage in a single hit with your Hatchets.

- This is probably the more time consuming achievement in this batch. It's not too hard but you just need the right items. You'd want to focus on getting items that increase your strength, maxing out strength from the Doctor will help. You could go through a looped run if needed but you can also just keep Resetting each floor until the Shop, Treasure Room, or Challenge Room gives items that would increase your strength if that's what you prefer. You can use Axel's charged attack to achieve this feat once you have enough damage. You can also turn on Axel's Curse of the Hunk to give your charged attack more power which would also help.

________________________________________________________________

And we've reached the end of the 1.5 Axe to Grind update. As always, thank you so much for reading and supporting this guide!! And don't be shy to open up discussions if you found anything that's not mentioned or if there's something I missed! Hope everyone enjoyed the new content!

1.6 Assignment Anya

Hello again everyone, we're back with Dead Estate's fifth HUGE major update! This update contains a lot of new stuff so this portion of the guide is going to be a bit longer. There's a lot of smaller stuff they've included with this update such as tweaks and balance changes that I won't be covering but are in the patch notes if you want to see it. As always I will be covering the bigger things for this update. We have a lot to go through this time around so without further ado let's dive in!
________________________________________________________________

Assignment Anya

Welcome to Assignment Anya, a whole new campaign that's been added to the game! Before we continue there are a few things that should be mentioned. I HIGHLY encourage everyone to at least play through the campaign at least once before looking through this guide. Not only is there going to be a LOT of spoilers but going through the campaign at least once will help familiarize you with the mechanics and layout. It'll also help in understanding the rest of this guide a little easier when you've seen what the campaign has to offer already. So again I implore you to play through it once before coming back to this guide to get the rest of the achievements, the team at Milkbar Lads worked really hard to bring this update out so do it for them!

Overview
In this part of the guide I'll give an overview of key points and locations of the campaign. Running through the campaign everyone will be encountering these aspects in different orders so this is just meant to bundle these things together. I'll put a step by step walkthrough of the campaign in a different section for the S rank achievement. For now familiarize yourselves with the following.

Keys, Doors and Maps

These are the locations of all the keys and corresponding doors as well as the location of the maps for the campaign. Also to note, when looking at the map a "?" means there's an item you can pick up in that room. A "B" means there's a box to use for storage. And an "S" means there's a save station there.

Bronze Key Puzzle
The first thing you'll be doing to progress the campaign is picking up the Bronze key. This is the puzzle to get it.

Gold Key Puzzles
The Gold key is split in 2 halves and you need to solve a puzzle to obtain them.

The puzzle on the Western side has you rearranging stickers and putting them on the correct paintings. This is what the paintings should look like for you to get the key piece. The graveyard gets the bat and moon stickers. The skeleton gets the apple and grapes stickers. The demon gets the chalice and ankh stickers.

The puzzle on the Eastern side has you solving this puzzle to open the drawer. The sequence from left to right is Bug -> Frog -> Snake.

Mirror Teleport

These are the locations of the 2 mirrors on the map and where they bring you.

Books and Book Puzzles

These are the locations of the books, the 2 puzzles that use them, and which books are needed for each puzzle. The puzzle on the western side will be the first one you'll be doing, the second one will be a bit later since you need to do a later sequence before getting the last book.

Diavola Run
This is a sequence where Diavola disguises herself as Cordelia and chases you. Follow this path to get her off your tail. Note: The western book puzzle room has an 8 ball you pick up. After the chase you need to bring that 8 ball to this room to solve the clock puzzle and get Book 6

Emblems and Doors

These are the locations of the 4 emblems as well as the doors they open.
Spring Emblem Puzzle

To get the Spring Emblem you need to solve a flower puzzle based on these flowers around the map. The sequence for the puzzle is Yellow -> Red -> White -> Blue -> Green
Other Emblems
Just things to note on how to get the other emblems
Summer Emblem: Need the Jumping Boots to get them
Autumn Emblem: Need to solve Eastern Book Puzzle. Books needed are 1, 4, 6
Winter Emblem: Need to slot the other 3 emblems in the sockets

Utility Items

With the Exception of the Candle and Ice Block, these items just provide extra utility for your campaign run. The Candle is the second thing you'll be getting in the campaign so I won't be mentioning it here, I will be mentioning the other items and their functions. Many of these items are locked behind doors, refer to the Key and Emblem maps to see which items are locked behind which doors.

Cursed Bone: When held in your inventory, Zombies are slightly slower in chasing you when spotted.

Odd Potion: Heals you to full health when used.

Duck Floaty: Has no use but needed for an achievement. Finish the campaign by escaping with it to get the achievement

Champagne Bottle: Permanently increases your max health by 1. When you can take an extra hit before dying bringing total number of hits to death to 5.

Ice Block: Melt them to get the Jumping Boots. There are 2 achievements tied to melting the ice block. One achievement is the one I recommend doing first and it's to let the ice melt on it's own which is done by just holding it in your inventory as you play. The other is much quicker and just bringing it to the fireplace in the Study.

Meat: Permanently increases your base movement speed when used

Puffy Socks: Increases your movement speed when held in your inventory. (Does stack with Meat)

Choker: Slows down the alert bar filling up when near an enemy

Chunks Chase

Follow this path to escape the last sequence
1.6 Assignment Anya Walkthrough

This section of the guide is going to be a step by step walkthrough of the campaign. This walkthrough is meant to mainly help you get 4 achievements, The following achievements are going to be Completing Assignment Anya in under one hour, by using one or fewer health items, by saving your progress a single time or less, and achieving an S rank (which in turn also get's you the A, B, and C rank achievements). I would HIGHLY suggest playing through the campaign at least once so you're more familiar with the objectives, what to do, and where everything is. Also this part of the guide will be more text heavy, if there's something you need to see like a location or a puzzle please refer to the Overview section. Ok, let's get to it shall we.

________________________________________________________________

Walkthrough

Note: This walkthrough will assume you don't pick up any Health Potions along the way and you Examine the Maps as soon as you get them.

1. Go to the Garden and get the Bronze Key by solving the puzzle.
- While you have the Bronze Key go ahead and open the 3 Bronze Doors, the one on the Eastern side will be a little harder when you don't have the candle but it's possible, here's how:

When you get to this room just walk in the direction of the red carpet until the room transitions. When the room transitions only walk DOWN.

If done correctly you'll get to this room, just walk toward the door and unlock it. Getting back is the same as coming in, when you exit this room only walk UP. Then you'll be back at the red carpet room and you can exit the room.

-Once all 3 Bronze Doors are open you can store the Bronze Key, you won't need it anymore.

2. Head to the Laundry Room and grab the Candle.
- You can pick up the Western Map while you're there if you like.

3. Go to the library and grab all the books and the Central Map when you enter.
- Once you get a few books you can go to the nearest box in the Foyer and store some books so you have room to grab the rest.

4. Once you have all the books bring books 2, 3, and 5 and head to the Western Book Puzzle room.

5. Put the books on the shelf to solve the puzzle and grab the 8 Ball in that room.

6. Head up the graveyard to solve the Coffin Puzzle and get the Plunger.
- Coffin Puzzle is solved by moving your mouse around to follow the sound and text of the precise area to click. Click the correct spot 3 times and the coffin will open.

7. Start heading back toward the Bathroom but stop by the Art Gallery where the Painting Puzzle is.
- You should have 2 empty inventory spaces to move the stickers around and solve the puzzle. Solve it and get the first half of the Gold Key

8. Head to the Bathroom and get the Silver Key.
- When you exit the Bathroom head right to get the Western Map if you haven't done so but mainly to open the shortcut south of where that map is found.

9. Go to the mirror and teleport to the East side of the map and head toward the Kitchen to unlock that door for later.

10. Go back to the Southeast Corridor and work your way down.
- There is a Silver Door along the way make sure you unlock that and get the Eastern Map along the way too.

11. Go to the Drawer Animal Puzzle and solve it to the the second half of the Gold Key to make it whole.
-The answer for this puzzle is Bug, Frog, Snake.

12. On your way back up open the Gold Door that leads to a hallway shortcut to the library, there will be a room with a Box. Open the other Gold Door in that room and store the Silver Key.

13. Head back to the Southeast Corridor and go to "Cordelia's" Shop (where you unlocked the Bronze Door) and do the chase sequence. Follow this path for her to stop chasing:

14. Go back to that room where the chase first started and put the 8 ball in the clock.

15. Move through the newly revealed path and get Book 6.

16. Go to any box nearby and grab Books 1 and 4, you should now be holding Books 1, 4, and 6.

17. Head back down the Southeast Corridor to that Silver Door you opened earlier to get to the Eastern Book Puzzle. Put the books on the shelf to solve the puzzle and head in the newly revealed room.

18. Solve the Autumn Puzzle to get the Autumn Emblem.
- The puzzle is solved by just matching the lines correctly to form a picture of a leaf and it will turn into the emblem.

19. Go through the shortcut to the Library and store the Autumn Emblem along the way. Head south of the library to open the Gold Door at the very bottom. Once you do that make your way to the Flower Puzzle on the Western Side.

20. Solve the Flower Puzzle and get the Spring Emblem.
- The Flower Puzzle answer is Yellow, Red, White, Blue, Green.

*Option* : You can head West from here toward the graveyard, there is a box and a Silver Door along the way. Store the Spring Emblem and Gold Key, grab the Silver Key to open that door and get the Odd Potion. This will be your only healing item if you need it, either use it now or store it for later alongside storing the Silver Key again.

21. Start heading toward the kitchen and go to a box along the way to store the Spring Emblem and Gold Key.

22. Once at the Kitchen go up to the Meat Locker and get the Ice Block.

23. Head to the Study nearby and walk to the fireplace to melt the Ice Block and obtain the Jump Boots.

24. Go to the Center Foyer and get the Summer Emblem hanging on the chandelier.

*Option* : Go back to the Meat Locker and open the Summer Emblem Door to obtain and eat the Meat. This can help with the final chase sequence but it's doable without it.

25. Grab the 3 emblems from the box and head to the pool at the end of the Library at the bottom.

26. Put the Emblems in the sockets to reveal the Winter Emblem. SAVE HERE, this will be your only save.
NOTE: DO NOT PICK UP THE WINTER EMBLEM UNLESS YOU'RE READY FOR THE FINAL SEQUENCE. If there's anything you want to grab around the map that you haven't done so yet like the Odd Potion do it now.

*Option* : Go back to a box and store the 3 emblems to make room for the Duck Floaty if you haven't gotten that achievement yet.

27. When you're ready, pick up the Winter Emblem to start the final sequence.
- Open the Winter Emblem Door to get the Duck Floaty if you have the space for it.

28. Run from Chunks and head to the Garden, follow this path:

29. Once you make your way to the Garden there is a box there. Grab all 4 Emblems to put in your inventory (and the Duck Floaty if you need the achievement).
- You only really need the Jump Boots for the final part, if you need space you can store the Candle and Zombie Mask.

30. Run through the Garden while Chunks chases you, jump over Zombies if you need to. Make it to the road to finish!

________________________________________________________________

Doing the run like this I was able to finish in around 30 minutes so there's plenty of room for error. I'm sure there's a more efficient way of doing it for a faster time but this should be good enough. If you followed the steps you should be able to get those 4 achievements, but if it's too hard to get some of them together you can do them separately on a different run, the steps on what to do will be the same. Best of luck, you can do it!
1.6 Assignment Anya Challenges

Welcome to the second half of the 1.6 updates which are the Challenges! These challenges offer special restrictions to the run that add some difficulty. For this section I will be giving a general overview of what to expect for each of the challenges. There may not be a lot of tips for some of the challenges as they're either straightforward or just require you to do it. But there are a few things to note before we get started that applies to most of the challenges:

- To unlock the option to do challenges you need to have beaten the game with Jeff and Jules. To unlock all the other challenges you either need to beat the game with that specific character used in that challenge or progressing more through the story with finishing True Runs.

- In many of the challenges Chunks spawns in a lot quicker and you'll most likely need to deal with him so be ready to either outrun him or knock him out. If you need some help on how to deal with Chunks refer to the "Bosses" section of the guide, how you got some practice!

- Most challenges can utilize the Reset Trick to help you with your run by rolling better items.

- For the challenges that require a True Ending, make sure you wait until you get the antidote syringe in the balcony before proceeding forward!

________________________________________________________________

Challenges

Assignment Anya

The first challenge is completing Assignment Anya, refer to the Assignment Anya Overview and Walkthrough sections of the guide to help you with this.

The Gauntlet

In this Challenge you play as Axel going through 4 floors with each floor containing 2 challenge rooms where you fight waves of enemies and get rewarded with items at the end. Since you aren't exploring a whole map there are a lot of items that can be completely useless like any items involving Chunks chasing you or being able to see the contents of the Cultist Shop for example. Use the Reset Trick if you get a bad roll of items.

Massive Attack

Here you play as Fuji and the main thing about this challenge is that you have 30 seconds to clear each room. There's also a lot of enemies that spawn as giant enemies that has a lot more health and rooms that contain a boss in which they'll give you 60 seconds to clear the room.

Jumbled Mess

This challenge is like any Normal Run challenge you'd expect with Mumba, the only thing is that all the floors are mixed together so you'll be encountering rooms and enemies from every floor type throughout the challenge.

Blackout

In this challenge you play as Luis and the main thing is everything is extremely dark. Be careful going through the maps as you can't fully see enemies until they're somewhat near your small light radius.

Old Grounds

This is a very vanilla experience of Dead Estate, see what the game was like in a very early build. In this one you play as Jules, expect a few enemy types and a limited pool of items.

Hemophiliac

For this challenge you play as Jeff, you'll start with 20 HP but you lose 1 HP every few seconds while you're in combat. I suggest trying to get as much damage as you can to be able to clear rooms and bosses quicker. Also save breaking as many pots as possible until you need to heal up as heart pickups drop more often here.

Mutants

Play as BOSS with some radioactive damage, but at the start of every floor you'll be at 1 HP. Play carefully until you're able to heal up from any heart pickups.

No Spill Blood

In this challenge you'll play as Cordelia. There will be no healing items, heart pickups, or items that increase your maximum HP from shops. You'll start off with a lot of items that have a chance to trigger while at 1 HP, they'll always be active because when you take damage here your max HP goes down. You might encounter items that increase your maximum HP, these items will essentially heal you. On the off chance you find an Ambrosia, that'll restore you back to what your max HP should be including any new max HP items you've picked up.

Mom's Credit Card

For this challenge you play as Digby and start off with $5000, that's all you get. You won't get any more money so just be sure of what you're spending your money on!

The Great Depression

Here you play as Lydia, you will have 0 HP and the item that keeps you alive but drains your money. The key to this challenge is to clear fast, pick up items, and keep moving. One important thing to note: DO NOT PICK UP CHAOS TOKEN, that rerolls all your items at the start of the floor and will most likely get rid of the one item that's keeping you alive for this challenge.

Arcade Maniac

The last challenge is essentially Pac-Man, you'll play as Mumba for this. Chunks will constantly chase you and you have to pick up 50 dots. As you get more dots the Portrait Ghost will start chasing you, eventually getting faster and eventually having more chase you. Sometimes they'll appear at the door you need to go to, if that happens just exit and re-enter the room immediately to reset their position and before Chunks comes in and blocks your way. One important thing to note from my experience: If you have 1 HP and the cake to complete the challenge lands on top of spikes, jump to the cake. I've had it happen where I touch the spike, the camera pans up like I've completed the challenge but I ended up failing and counted as a death.

________________________________________________________________

Those are all the general overviews of what to expect for the challenges and tips for some of them. Some of these may be difficult and some may be easy, really depends on you and your gameplay. Completing each challenge unlocks new Curses to use for your runs which I'll be going over next.

That's all for this HUGE update that is 1.6 Assignment Anya, thanks again for all the support and thanks to Milkbar Lads for all the hard work! As always if there's anything that you find that I might have missed or isn't mentioned please feel free to discuss in the comments. Hope everyone liked all the new stuff, see you all for the next one!

FINAL UPDATE Goodnight

Hello again everyone for the last time, we're back to the estate with Dead Estate's FINAL major update!! There's so many additions and a few changes that came with this update so we have a lot to cover. Just a few things before we get into the nitty gritty. Digby's unlock method and Cordelia's B costume unlock method have both changed, I've updated them in their respective places in this guide. Also not covered in this guide will be the 70 new items and 32 new weapons, there's a lot of really cool ones so play around with them on your runs. As always I'll be covering the larger parts of this update so with that being said let's get into it!
________________________________________________________________

Awakening Ending
The biggest part of this update is the new Awakening Ending! You remember those bedrooms we saw before that had the "ZZZ" icon on it? That comes into play now, when you reach Floor 2 on a looped run or if you picked up the Sleep Pills item you can go to the bed of those rooms and do the Awakening Ending. The rest of this guide will cover what's in store for you on this path!
________________________________________________________________

New Floors

We have 3 new Floors and 1 new Alt Floor with this update, lets go over them now!

First off when you go to sleep in the Bedroom you'll be brought here, the Restored Mansion. This is the mansion you explore in Assignment Anya in it's restored state. There are no enemies and you can't break anything (unless you have the item that allows you to break furniture). You can get the Every Nook and Cranny achievement by exploring every room here. But you'd want to go out into the courtyard and go down the hole to continue to the new floors.

Once you go down the hole you'll be brought to the 3 new floors in this order.

The Dream
Note: This is where you can get the Cracked achievement.

The Mindscape
Note: This is where you can get the Bone Meal achievement.

The Nightmare
Note: This is where you can get the Swift Execution achievement.

The last new Floor is an Alt Floor only unlocked by completing your first Awakening Ending.

The Shrine
Note: This is where you can get the Keen Observation achievement.

Once you've unlocked The Shrine you can find this elevator on Floor 2 that'll bring you there. Getting through The Shrine brings you straight to the Balcony. This is a way to fast track a loop to be able to get to the Bedroom and get to the Dream Floors.

________________________________________________________________
FINAL UPDATE Goodnight Bosses

In this section I'm going to be talking about the new bosses you can encounter and a bit about them so you can be prepared to face them.
________________________________________________________________

Bosses

First off I want to talk about Chunks, he's got some new tricks up his sleeve. When you loop your run or if you play on Painful or higher difficulty, Chunks can mutate into 2 different variations. When you first defeat Chunks and you see his body disintegrate then you know his next encounter will be a mutation. These are the 2 mutation variations you may encounter.

Tentacle Chunks

He has 2 moves that he'll do, one of them has him standing still and releasing a bunch of tentacles from himself spreading across the whole room. Often times there's one tentacle that spreads out further and follows you, there are a few gaps between the tentacles that you can try and jump to to avoid this attack. The second move has him punching the ground causing tentacles to come out of the floor. There will be markings indicated where they'll show up and a marking will keep showing up under you so keep moving around to avoid this attack.

Dog Chunks

This other variant also just has 2 moves he'll do, the first of which has him sprinting toward you really fast until he hits a wall after which exploding shrapnel will fall from the ceiling that can damage you. If you have enough agility you can move and jump in a circle until he hits a wall to avoid it, otherwise try and get him to hit the wall then just dodge the shrapnel. His second move has him punching the floor creating several shockwaves. Just jump over them and land in the gaps in between the shockwaves to avoid getting hit.

A couple other things to note is that each encounter you have after he mutates can be random. I've had instances where he mutates back into regular Chunks. I've even have instances where I've had 2 floors in a row fighting Tentacle Chunks. As long as you get familiar with all their move sets and know how to deal with them you'll be fine. Also Just like beating Chunks for the first time in your run and getting a Chunks Medallion, the same can be said for the mutations. When you beat each different mutations for the first time on that run you'll get 2 Chunks Medallions.
________________________________________________________________

Next up are the 5 new bosses you'll encounter on the new floors.

Chisai

You'll find this boss in The Shrine and it's a fairly simple boss but tries to overwhelm you. All this boss does is jump, creates a shockwave when it lands and spawns little dust sprites that float around the room. Seems simple enough but the more you damage Chisai the faster it jumps and the more sprites spawn. It's all a matter of clearing out the sprites, hitting the boss, and watching where you land.

Oko

This is the boss of The Dream. It has 4 moves, the first of which has him charging at you until it hits a wall, it charges more times the more damaged it is. If you keep moving and jumping you can avoid this. It's second move has it turning into a big fluff ball and bouncing toward you. You can avoid this by running in a circle being mindful of when it's about to land on the floor. The next move it has will have it running off screen and sending a stampede of itself flooding the room. If you stand at the bottom corner of the room you'll always avoid this attack. Lastly when you damage it enough at times it will shed it's wool into the air and run away. This is where you can really damage it but the wool in the air will periodically fly down to try and hit you.

Pierrot Deux

This boss is found in the Mindscape. You need to damage its head but it's too high up most of the time so you have to hit the body first for them to roll off and the head can get closer to the ground. Sometimes it'll do a move where it has a bunch of floating balls that you can damage to get rid of. It also has a move where it makes a beam of spikes that spin around it's body, you just have to jump over them to avoid it. Lastly it has a move that'll summon 2 hands that will try and punch each other on your location similar to The Golden Mask boss. It doesn't start with these hands and they will spawn when he does the attack so just watch out for them.

Trayah

The boss of The Nightmare is 3 hanging shadows and there's 2 phases to this boss. The first phase is where you can get the Swift Execution achievement where you have to kill all 3 hanging men within 10 seconds of each other. So once you kill one you have 10 seconds to kill another and another 10 seconds to kill the last one. But in this phase will have the hanged men spinning around you really quickly, going off to the side of the screen and each of them shoot a barrage of blood at you. If you keep moving you can avoid these attacks. The second phase happens when you take out all 3 hanged men. They'll all join in the middle and make a really long segmented snake that just moves around the room. Sometimes it'll make a sound cue that'll indicate it's going to move extremely fast for a few seconds. Just keep moving and jumping to avoid it.
FINAL UPDATE Goodnight Bosses (cont.)
Final Boss

The final boss of the Awakening Ending is the Leviathan. This boss can get pretty tough and is more of an endurance match compared to any of the other bosses because it has 4 phases! I'll talk about the moves of each phase in no particular order of when they happen.

1st Phase:
It starts off as a small shrimp in a floating bubble. It'll teleport around the room making small enemies that rush at you. It has a move that turns itself into a giant sphericle object, either a bowling ball, a baseball, a snow globe, or a 10 second time bomb. Each sphere has their own moves with the bowling ball moving around the room bouncing on the walls, the baseball flying across the screen, the snow globe staying in place releasing a ton of projectiles, and the time bomb releasing one ring of projectiles but counting down before it's explosion.

2nd Phase:
This phase it turns into a huge mantis shrimp. It has a move that does 2 swipes toward you with the second one charging forward. It can also bury itself underground to come up and release a barrage of projectiles. One move has him running around creating a trail of green projectiles. And another move has it creating giant green projectiles that follow you. It can also create shockwaves that you have to jump over or a projectile barrage that covers the room. The floor will flash a black and white checkered pattern for the projectile barrage and you'll be safe as long as you stand in the black squares.

3rd Phase:
This 3rd Phase is the most simple phase. It'll spawn every other boss (except Chisai) in the game at you in waves based on the floors you encounter them. These copy bosses have much lower health but the first 6 bosses will come at you 3 at a time. After the floor bosses you'll fight Chunks and after Chunks you'll fight Diavola. Again they have much lower health and you have much more room to work with as the whole screen counts as the room.

Final Phase:
In this phase it's in the air so it can be a little hard to hit it but it periodically gets low enough for you to jump and reach it. It'll float around with various variations of projectile barrage attacks. It also has a charge attack indicated by a line of it's path leaving a trail of damaging projectiles. Sometimes it has an attack that'll flash the floor with a safe spot square before sending a barrage of explosions that covers the screen. Stand in the black squares for this attack. Most importantly about this phase is that at some point the credits might start rolling during the fight. If that happens then you've done it, you can't get hurt at this point anymore but you can still damage it to finish the battle quicker but essentially you've completed the fight, congratulations!

________________________________________________________________

I know this bosses section is a bit all over the place. There's a lot that go into all their new movesets and I'm sure there's a lot I missed. But seeing how they work for yourself is much better than me explaining it. This was mainly to just help give you a general sense of what you can expect in case you want to get a little preview. Hope it helps nonetheless but up next we have the Challenges!
FINAL UPDATE Goodnight Challenges and Costumes

In this section I'll be going over all 10 new challenges associated with each character. I'll also be previewing the D costume you'll get for completing each challenge. Something to apply to all these challenges is patience, keep trying if there's a particular challenge that's difficult for you! Note: I recommend finishing an Awakening Ending with each character first before tackling the challenges as some of the challenges are locked until you do so. Without further ado let's dive in!
________________________________________________________________

No More Running

This challenge has you going through the normal floors and beating Chunks at the end as Jules. If there's an enemy on the screen you'll be locked from moving and you can only reposition by shooting your shotgun. Once you get the hang of moving around in a room with a bunch of enemies this challenge won't be too bad. Completing this challenge will unlock the Lifeguard Jules costume.

Mental Power

In this challenge you'll play as Jeff and you'll have to go through all the dream floors. The gimmick for this one is that your bullets fire your cursor, shouldn't be too hard. Completing this challenge will unlock the Angler Jeff costume.

Triple Digits

Get your trigger finger ready for this one! This challenge has you going through the normal floors with Cordelia. Your shots only shoot each time you click so you can't hold the button down. Try and click as fast as you can to dish out more shots for more damage. It can get tiring on your finger though so positioning yourself so you don't get hit will help. Completing this challenge will unlock the Beach Cordelia costume.

Time Attack

Gotta go fast!! This challenge has you going through the normal floors as Digby. You'll only have 480 seconds to finish this challenge. Try and clear rooms as fast as possible utilizing your bonus damage from your combo. Don't waste too much time trying to clear every room just go go go! Completing this challenge will unlock the Sailor Digby costume.

Death from Above

In this challenge you have to complete the Shrine as Mumba. You're only given a jetpack for damage so some of the enemies can't hit your but it can be a little hard to aim it. Rotate your cursor around and watch where the flames land to help you with burning the enemies. For the boss I'd just stick on the boss while taking the hits to do as much damage as possible. Taking a break to kill the little sprites can give you a chance of them dropping a heart to replenish your health. Use the Reset Trick to reroll the items on the floor to items that'll help you out more. Completing this challenge will unlock the Fishba costume.

Year of the High Roller

This challenge needs you to complete the Shrine with Lydia. You're given the Diamond Handgun that has enemies killed with it drop a lot more money. But you're only given 50 bullets, if you run out of ammo you die. My best advice for this challenge is to be sparing with your ammo, make your shots count as best as you can and be patient. Completing this challenge unlocks the Captain Lydia costume.

Uselessness

Here you'll have to beat the Shrine with Luis. You got the peashooter item this time around and any damage boosting items you can get will barely help, if anything it won't at all. You'll shoot really fast but each bullet only does 1 damage so killing enemies takes a while. Just be patient, keep moving to not get hit, and pump as many shots in the enemies as you can. Completing this challenge will unlock the Floaty Luis costume.

Bulking Up

This challenge has you beating all the Dream Floors as Fuji. Surprisingly to me this was the challenge I struggled with the most. Any items that boost your own damage are either scarce or nonexistent. You can still max your damage out with the Doctor but that's about it. This challenge is all about survival and getting as beefy as you can. Use the Reset Trick to reroll items for the floors if they're giving you items that won't help you. The last phase of the final boss might be a bit of a challenge since you're melee and it floats the whole time. Hopefully before you get there you've gotten plenty of HP boosting and defensive items that can help you survive taking hits. Completing this challenge will unlock the R&R Fuji costume.

Weak Throw

Let's get up close and personal! In this challenge you'll be playing as BOSS going through the Dream Floors. Your bomb throw is really weak, practically just throwing it in right in front of you. So you're going to have to keep moving around either getting really close to the enemies or making a trail of bombs and having them follow you into them. Completing this challenge will unlock the Pirate BOSS costume.

Ununundead

Finally we reach this challenge where you have to go through all the normal floors with Axel. Here you'll be locked to 1 HP and have 5 mold items that will revive you which will act as your lives. Just be patient and play as carefully as possible. You also start with an item that gives you a temporary shield from damage upon entering a room. You can use this to reposition yourself to a better spot to clear the room. Do your best not to get hit and if you find yourself getting hit too much on a floor just use the Reset Trick and try the floor again. Completing this challenge will unlock the Beefcake Axel costume.

________________________________________________________________

Hope this overview of the new challenges will help out a little. Again my biggest advice I can give is to be patient and play carefully and these should be a piece of cake for you!
________________________________________________________________
FINAL UPDATE Goodnight Glutton for Punishment

This section of the guide is going to be dedicated to one of the new, and probably hardest, achievement from this update, Glutton for Punishment. This section is going to be more text heavy compared to having a lot of images but hopefully the tips in this section will help you get through this tough achievement. I'll be sharing a bit of my personal experience but just note that it may be different for you. But one thing that will apply to everyone is to just play carefully. With that let's get into it.
________________________________________________________________

First off let's define what you have to do to get this achievement. Glutton for Punishment has you clearing an awakening ending run on X Must Die with all 12 general curses enabled. This will feel pretty rough in the early stages and it may take you several tries but once you learn to play around the negatives of the curses and get a pretty strong build going then it'll be smooth sailing.

General Overview
We're going to be using all the resources we have available to us to be able to get through the rough part of this achievement. If you have a lot of money stored in the bank or have a lot of Chunks Medallions saved up, using them for this achievement will help a lot. For example, at some point during my run that I completed I took out $30,000 from the bank then ended up getting the Tax Forms item that boosts my damage in proportion to my money. This helped my run a lot and gave me a significant damage boost. But if you don't have that much money in the bank then you'd have to find a different combo of items to help you. Also if you have a lot of Chunks Medallions saved up and run into Angel Marts you can buy both the items that removes the negative effects of curses, that includes the general curses. These also stack so buying both will give you 15 minutes of no negatives from curses, then if you run into another Angel Mart on the next floor you can buy them again and increase the time.

Now before we start the run the question is "What character should I use?". The simple answer to that is to just use your best character. Use a character you're most comfortable and most confident using. Everyone has different playstyles and different preferred characters, one character that someone may not see as the best to use for this may be more helpful to someone else that performs best with that said character. But just remember each character is going to have their own struggles early on. For me I used Mumba, so I was dishing out ok damage to clear out early rooms easier but I had such low health that I had to make sure I didn't get hit as best as I can. And because my problem early was more of the lack of HP than damage I opted to finding more HP gain items and Doctor upgrades before I boosted more of my damage.

Also never forget that the Reset Trick is your best friend for this achievement. It'll have a lot of applications to save you, your currency, and your run.

Early Game Growing Pains
Now that you've picked your character the hard part starts. I hope your knowledge of enemies and bosses are up to par because you're going to need it. The name of the game early on before you have a good build is to try and not take damage as best as you can. But not getting hit will solely depend on your gameplay and ability to deal with enemy moves and attacks. One of the general curses has enemies dropping more money when you have full health. This difficulty will have you getting a lot less money so you can try and take advantage of this as best as you can. Also because you get less money and one of the curses makes the item shops more expensive it's going to be really hard to get a lot of good items early on so be wise with which items you're able to get. Choose the ones you feel would benefit you the most early on based on which character you chose. If you have a lot of money stored in the bank, take out as much money as you'd need so you don't have to worry about money again for your run. If you do and you get to a point where you might die on a floor, quickly do the Reset Trick to try the floor again instead of dying and losing all the money you withdrew.

Threats
There are 2 main threats I found that make the early game really tough, it's Chunks and the Portrait Ghost. These threats need to be dealt with immediately before clearing the rest of the floor, especially Chunks.

Chunks is going to be coming in hot, he'll spawn and attack very quickly once you start a floor. I hope you're familiar with knowing how to deal with and avoid all of Chunks' and his mutations attacks. My best advice for this is that once you start a floor go to a room and clear it out, try and find a room with as little furniture as possible so you have enough space to run around and not get stuck. If the room you cleared isn't favorable for your battle for Chunks go to another room and clear that. If Chunks is about to come in and you don't have a good room to fight him in, run straight for the starting room and fight him there. I suggest taking out Chunks before going around and clearing the floor. If you ever get to a point where you got hit too many times than you'd like from his battle or if you get down to 1 HP and you might die, quickly do the Reset Trick and try again.

The Portrait Ghost is going to be more prominent on these runs. They're fairly easy to deal with and honestly more annoying than anything but it's a matter of being perceptive of when they're going to show up.
Every time you enter a room always look for these portraits before moving on to the next room. If the portrait is completely empty then the Portrait Ghost will spawn upon changing rooms. The portrait will empty when you get near it so if you want to purposefully spawn them in just to get them out of the way you can do that too. Sometimes they'll have them in the starting room once you start a floor so be weary of that. To deal with them you can just run around an empty room, making sure they don't touch you, until they go away. Just be careful to always look out and be patient in dealing with them.

Final Tips and Experiences
Once you start building up items and you're able to kill Chunks and clear floors pretty easily you should have no problem finishing the run. Since you have to finish the Dream Floors, you do need to loop but you technically don't need to go through the alternate floors. I personally did go through the alternate floors just for more opportunities for more items and money but of course that does pose a higher risk because I have to deal with Chunks more and have more enemies to get through. But a friend of mine did this with only going through the normal floors and skipping all the alternate floors so it is possible if you want to do that.

I had a lot of Chunks Medallions saved up so every Angel Mart I found I bought the curse negating items every time and bought items from her if she was selling anything good. I also have a lot of money in the bank so the first bank elevator I found I just withdrew a lot of money and stacked up all the good items from every shop after that. If you have these resources USE THEM!

I don't recommend going through the Shrine the first time you see it. Although it does bring you straight to the balcony you'll be losing out on a lot of items that'll help you before you loop your run. I did go through it at some point but I also looped my run twice before going to the Dream Floors, so in those cases if you feel confident enough with your build after looping a few times and want to fast track it back to Floor 2 to get to the Dream Floors then you can go through the Shrine.

Be Patient and Good Luck!

That brings us to the end of all the new content for the last time! Thank you all again for the immense support for this guide, I put a lot of work into putting this all together but enjoyed the whole ride. This update was ENORMOUS and a great send off to Dead Estate. If there's anything you find that I might have missed or not mentioned please discuss it in the comments. Thank you so much Milkbar Lads and everyone involved for all the incredibly hard work on this project. I do encourage everyone to check out the gallery after getting all the achievements, there's so much fun stuff to see about the characters. THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT!

You can check the challenges section to see if they get unlocked. I believe they also tell you on that page what you need to do to unlock certain challenges.

hey how do you unlock the challenges?

I'm glad the guide helped out!

I was wondering the same thing for a while, I thought they'd add them in for one of the updates but it never happened. Even looking through the gallery there's nothing on the missing pages. Maybe someone that reads through these comments might hopefully know but I for the life of me couldn't figure it out.

Thanks for this Guide, it's really help me many times, especially with Challenges!
:MrSThumbsUp::cozyroe:

Sorry for asking, but does anyone know anything about the missing last 3 pages of Challenge book? By keyboard left or right arrows, you can read some ritual on first page of the book, or history of The Cult of Leviathan on last pages. But at the end of the book there are a couple of pages missing...
I thought this is some Easter Egg or secret, which will be revealed as you progress through the game or 100% complete it. But after complete game on 100%, these pages are still missing...

legendary guide. worthy of fancy pants

Yes! They changed how secret rooms work a couple updates ago. They used to be more isolated but now they can be connected to most other rooms, even being connected to multiple rooms sometimes. I just haven't updated it on the guide but I'll fix that once I finish rolling out the rest of the final update content!
bolo 20 Nov, 2024 @ 2:29pm
Hey, I'm new to the game, but I'm sure I have found secret rooms connected to the first room and also to two rooms, not between them but imagine 4 rooms in 2x2, one of the corners is a secret room.
It can be a 1.7 thing, since I started playing on 1.7 already. If I find it again, I'll make sure to post a screenshot and come back here :)

Thanks for the tip! I am working on updating the guide for this last update but it's taking a bit of time but that's something I'll definitely look into. I had no idea they might've changed the way Digby got unlocked and it's hard to test when you have him unlocked already so the discussions and tips coming from these comments are much appreciated as always. We help each other out around here!

For anyone who, like me, was looking online for what the heck the Backpack , Ballcap , and/or Scout's Badge items that don't show up in your items list and are found in otherwise-empty secret rooms are for: If you get all three, you unlock Digby.

I think this must've been a recent change (Maybe from the Final Update that just came out?), since those items don't seem to be brought up anywhere online and all the guides say that you have to buy a map on each floor for Digby, which you now don't need to do, you just have to find the 3 items.

just an fyi, it seems that for the "get 10+ items with BOSS" achievement, items that have "Explode" does work. the achievement popped for me when I got "Beating Bomb" which says: Chance for enemies to explode on death.
