Quick note.
I am not sure if you need Half-Life 2 or Source to do this, I think it is also possible to just download the maps online.

Overview
Using this you can both play Half-Life 2 (or Source) through portal,
and if you want, you can also get the portal gun.

Main
Step 1.
Transfer the Half-Life 2 map files into the Portal map folder.

Step 2.
  1. Open up Portal.
  2. If not already enabled, enable the developer console.
  3. Open the developer console [`]
  4. Type in
map [Map you want to go to]

Extra Step.
You can also upgrade your portal gun with
upgrade_portalgun

yeah, i think so. The sounds are contained in the vpk inside the files (i think) you would need to drag that into portal. ALL of the vpks.
