Why Halo Infinite Is In Trouble
Halo Infinite is now fully released, with the single player campaign fully playable for $60. In this video we discuss if Halo Infinite has lived up to all the hype, or if it falls short of its ambitious goals for the Halo Franchise.

Halo Infinite has had a rocky development cycle over the course of its 6 years in production. 343 Industries has managed to launch one of the most ambitious Halo projects of all time, working through a global health crisis, delays, and constant roster and leadership changes. Though it was disappointing when the game was delayed, most fans could see the game wasn't going to be ready in 2020, and patiently waited.

The fruits of 343's labor are on full display in Halo Infinite, where the developer seems to have managed to meticulously craft a Halo experience that feels both new and familiar, while also appealing to casual and hardcore players alike. The core gameplay of Halo Infinite is surely 343's crowning achievement to date.

Halo Infinite's campaign mode is a full-fledged open world story where we follow the Master Chief on his newest adventure on Zeta Halo. Chief fights through the Banished horde while collecting upgrades, exploring the Forerunner Ring, rescuing Marines, capturing forts, and tries to piece together what happened while he was out for a nap.

The $60 campaign with no co-op modes, local or online, is a huge downgrade from previous Halo games. However, the open world setup and gleefully fun gameplay loop might just be enough to win players over, even at a $60 price tag. Not to mention that the Free To Play multiplayer has very little variety in its modes, playlists, customization, and progression.

Will Halo Infinite be enough to satiate longtime fans and newcomers of the series, or will it be just another blip on the radar?

Halo Infinite is a first-person shooter game developed by 343 Industries and published by Xbox Game Studios. It is the sixth mainline entry in the Halo series, and the third in the "Reclaimer Saga" following Halo 5: Guardians (2015).

Infinite was initially planned to be released as a launch title with the Xbox Series X/S on November 10, 2020, but was delayed in August 2020. Following an open beta release of the multiplayer component on November 15, 2021, coinciding with the franchise's 20th anniversary, the campaign was released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on December 8, 2021. Halo Infinite received generally favorable reviews from critics, with some deeming the game a return to form for the series.
