This guide contains several maps created by various players found in various places and details about every one. It also consists of shadow navigation, using shadows to tell what way is North, South, West, or East. I gathered most of this information from various steam guides, and I most certainly will credit the ones I can remember the sources of, but it is all in my own words and some of the information is originally by me from simply exploring the island. I hope I do not offend anyone who made any of these guides, and if I do, you may ask me to take the information from your guide off, and I will do so. Apologies for any inconveniences that may occur.

Part 1: The Maps
These are all the maps I found over the internet. Keep in mind that I haven't made any of them. The first one I edited to add 2 extra spawn points to the original map, but other than that I have done nothing. Thank you for your time.

Map 1, by Unknown Source:

Note: This map was edited by me to have 2 extra spawn points, one on the right side of the waterfall cave and the other on the peninsula on the Northeastern coast. The rest is not my work.

This map can be used effectively to find out where you are when near caves or if you have spawned in one of the four spawn points, but this map does not show all the spawn points in-game, as, to my knowledge, not all of the spawn points have been pin-pointed. It also shows a rough depiction of the type of vegetation that is in what area. Dark blue obviously means ocean, and light blue means rivers and ponds. The light brown / tan color is sand / coastline and / or evenly spread out grassy areas with a medium amount of trees. The light green appears to be meadows, and the dark green is thick forest. The majority of Capa island is thick forest, sometimes making it hard to traverse. You will learn more about how to traverse these areas later in the guide. It also shows cave locations and a rough estimate of where they connect, and also the volcano's location and the cave near it. Sadly, it does not show height elevation, but if it did this would most likely be the most information map.

Map 2, by Oni:

This map is very similar to Map 1, however, I would suggest Map 1 over this map if you're stuck between these two, due to the lack of spawn points and other landmarks. It does show all caves accurately, however, and is still applicable for knowing whether the location you're traveling to has sparse or dense vegetation. It still isn't as decisive as Map 1 as of the vegetation layout, as it only shows 2 different colors, besides water, which therefore means that it only goes into the general density of the vegetation, where as Map 1 goes into much more detail. It is still a good map if you're looking for something simple and easy to understand, but it's not the best for advanced navigation.

Map 3, by [TGFM] Frix:

Here's an interesting one. The only map I've seen that actually showed good campsite locations. The creator of this map also happened to be the one that educated me on shadow navigation, so an extra thanks for that. Orange is common campsite locations, and what also happens to be player-rush areas. If you're playing in single player, then using the orange areas is just fine, although you might want to trek a bit further away from the oceans, rivers, and ponds occasionally in order to practice your forest navigation. The green areas show good campsite locations for single player AND multiplayer. They aren't as common, but they have plenty of resources and all have water that is relatively nearby. The best part about this map is that it shows caves and the volcano, and it's the first map so far that shows the terrain height. I suggest pairing this with Map 1 and printing them out and laying them side-by-side on your desk whenever you play in order to tell exactly where you are. However, this map does not show spawn points or terrain textures, so that is a downside. A good idea to counteract this problem might be to figure out some way to use some sort of image editing program and overlapping the two and blending them together so that everything on both maps stands out. I'm not good with GIMP, though, so I'll stay out of this one.

Map 4, by Unknown Source:

I believe this one was what Frix edited to create Map 3, brightened and edited to show the campsite markers, although I can not be certain. Even without the campsite markers in Map 3, it is still a great map. It gives a clearer view of the areas that were before not visible due to the added campsite markers. The latitude and longitude lines can be extremely helpful, but only as a general location. If you and you're friends maybe had the same map and were trying to find each other on the server, this would be helpful to give them a general location of where you are, but due to the sheer size of the squares, it would be nearly impossible to find the person in less than 5 minutes, just by giving them the square number and nothing else. This can be easily solved by giving them more information, such as the general vegetation, large or odd-shaped rocks, etc. It could also be solved more effectively by making the squares much smaller. (Maybe 1 cm x 1 cm?) However, the second option may consume much more time, but the upside is that if someone shares the map with the smaller squares online, no one will ever have to put in that time again. Still, a great map for all players and especially useful for tribal navigator if he / she wants to use it.

Map 5, by Unknown Source:

Note: This map has a signature on it, but due to my lack of knowledge of whether that is his / her steam username, I leave it as Unknown Source. If you can't read the signature for whatever reason, it says 'Hanzen.' If you know this person and can tell me his / her steam username without invading their privacy, then that would be greatly appreciated.

This map is about equivalent to Map 2, only with terrain height instead of vegetation density. However, this one only shows the general location of caves, with wide-spread marks to indicate each cave. It is still pin-pointed enough to be able to find the caves, but for a navigator, precision is decision. Again, useful for many players who just want a simple map for basic navigation along the beach side, but any serious navigator should probably invest in Map 1, 3, and 4.
