Sisu R & C-series

This is the official and authorized continuation of the SISU R500, C500 and C600 mod.

This mod adds the R500, C500 and C600 trucks into Euro Truck Simulator 2.

In 2005, Oy Sisu Auto Ab overhauled the Sisu E-series model range to meet the demands of the Euro 4 regulations. The exterior styling was updated and an all-new dashboard was introduced along with a new selection of engines. The model range was rebranded and the new models were called R500, C500 and C600 depending on the engine. The R500 was equipped with the Renault DXi 13 Euro 4/Euro 5, the C600 was equipped with the Caterpillar C15 Euro 4 and the C500 was equipped with the Caterpillar C13 Euro 3 and was primarily offered for the Russian market.

  • Two cabin options; Normal and High
  • 6 chassis options; 6x2 Taglift, 6x2 Hauler Taglift, 6x4 Taglift, 6x4 Hauler Taglift, 8x4/4 Hauler (C-series only) and 8x4/4 Hauler Taglift (C-series only) (Hauler chassis is only compatible with low loader trailers!)
  • Two 5th wheel positions; Standard, with -450 mm offset, for general purpose and Hauler, with -140 mm offset, for heavy haulage
  • 8 engine options; Caterpillar C13 430/470 Euro 3 (C500), Renault DXi 13 460/500/520 Euro 4/Euro 5 (R500) and Caterpillar C15 520/550/625 Euro 4
  • Realistic engine sounds from Kriechbaum
  • 8 transmission options; ZF 12 S 2830 TD 12-speed, ZF 12 S 2831 TD 12-speed, Eaton Fuller RTLO-20913A 13-speed, ZF 16 S 2720 TD 16-speed, ZF 16 S 2721 TD 16-speed, ZF 16 S 2720 TO 16-speed, ZF 16 S 2721 TO 16-speed and Eaton Fuller RTLO-22918B 18-speed
  • Loads of customization options including custom bull bars, light bars, beacons, exhaust pipes and many more!
  • Custom UI icons
  • Custom Truck Dealer definitions (Truck is available through the Mod Dealer under Sisu brand!)
  • Standard paint jobs from SCS Software (UV_2 only)
  • Custom UV map (UV_1) and templates (Utilizes the 'new' paint job system)
  • Two interior trim levels
  • Animated interior buttons and switches
  • Cabin Accessories DLC compatible (Addon required, see below)
  • National Window Flags DLC compatible (Addon required, see below)
  • Advanced trailer coupling

Known Issues:
  • AO maps contain some artifacts
  • UI icons contain some artifacts
  • DXi 13 engines do not have a remote sound thus Renault Premium remote sound is being used
  • Rear suspension clips through the Parlok rear fenders (the suspension will be remodelled at some point)
  • Lifted powered axles start spinning in the air if game is loaded with axle of said type in lifted position (SCS bug, lower and raise to fix)

Compatibility:
Compatible with Euro Truck Simulator 2 v1.44.x - v1.47.x. Compatibility with other versions is not guaranteed.

The mat file begins with "effect" instead of "material". It appears as though SCS has switched their glass to this method. I used the same content that SCS uses in most of their trucks.

Ah, okay so only the windshield material needs adjusting, not the texture itself. I'll try to have a look at it at some point.

I edited the automat/c9/c9f6ee06c7efe999.mat file. It is referenced from the vehicle/truck/sisu_r500/interior/model.pmd file.

I would post the code from the mat file except that it makes this message exceed the 1000 character limit. In the SCS forum, I also left a message about my Truck Fixes mod, but then the moderators locked the thread. If you request that they reopen the thread, I can post the code there.

If you can change the windshield in the truck mod to use this code, then my mod won't be needed. Obviously, the automat filename will end up being different. I'm sure you will have many users who will be happy to get this fix in the actual truck.

There is a fix available for the striped windshield. Earlier this year, I made a mod called "Truck Fixes" for ATS. It contains fixes for several different trucks. I just now made one for ETS2. It has just one fix in it so far, for the Sisu's windshield. Simply download the file and save it to your mod folder. No need to unpack, it is one simple file, ready to go. In the mod manager, enable it and position it anywhere as long as it is above the Sisu mod. Here is the direct download link for the file:
