First Way:
Step 1 - Open Garry's Mod.
Step 2 - Open Developer Console by pressing "~" key.
Step 2.1 - To open developer console (if "~" key doesn't do anything), open settings -> advanced... and click "Enable Developer Console".
Step 3 - In console type following command: "menu_cleanupgmas".
Step 4 - Wait for it to finish and enjoy more storage space.
Second Way:
If the first way didn't deleted unsubscribed addons, here is another solution:
Step 1 - You need to find your Garry's Mod folder.
Step 2 - After you found your Garry's Mod folder, go to garry's mod folder (again but no caps) and enter addons folder.
Step 3 - Delete everything you have there.
Step 4 - Open Garry's Mod and wait for subscribed addons to download.
Also you can delete graph maps to free some space
To do this just follow previous steps but enter maps and graphs folder and delete everything.

what i usually do is open gmod go to my gmod folder and erase all addons, after that i get a message saying "addon name" is being used, this means im subscribed to the addon, i just click skip all and the one who arent being used (the ones im not suscribed to) get erased, and that way i dont have to wait for them to redownload
