The map patch I have developed adds more details to the map, such as icons for chests, NPCs, and Lore, and a scrollable, full-screen map which can be brought up by pressing M at any time. The new map system also carries over to the Save and Quit map screen. If for whatever reason a map does not exist for a room or cannot be loaded, the game will use the old map system as a fallback.

This guide however merely provides instructions for installation.

To begin the installation process, make sure your installation of Creepy Castle is fresh and unmodified. If you have downloaded my previous patch, reinstall your copy of the game first.

After you have verified the integrity of your game files, download the patch at this link[drive.google.com]

Next, extract the patch to a folder and copy the executable from your Steam installation to this folder.

You can find your executable file by right clicking the game in your library view, clicking Properties, going to the section called Local Files, and clicking Browse Local Files.

Next, run the patching program by executing the batch script called apply_patch_windows.bat. If this doesn't work, refer to the instructions included in the patch itself.

Take the newly produced, patched executable file, and replace your existing .exe with it. Rename it to 450440.exe to match the original.

After that, the game should just work when launched from Steam. If it doesn't feel free to contact me and I'll release an update or fix ASAP.
