Skills
Rodent affinity - each level increase rodent xp by 10%. Burn "Dead rats" in bonfire.

Critter affinity - each level increase critter xp by 10%. Burn "A critter's tail" in bonfire.

Beast affinity - each level increase beast xp by 10%. Burn "Beast tooth" in bonfire.

Villager affinity - each level increase villager xp by 10%. Burn "Villager hat" in bonfire.

Spirit control - increase the effect of SPIRIT by 50% fot the first #skill level# levels. Gives 300 instead of 200 mana for investing in SPIRIT. Kill something that gives spirit xp e.g. fireflies, fire bat.

Body control - increase the effect of BODY by 0.1 damage for the first #skill level# levels Gives 0.6 instead of 0.5 Attack for investing in BODY. Kill somone who gives body xp e.g. Fisherman, Old Guy.

Hand to hand - deals additional 0.1*#skiill level# damage. e.g Level 10 gives 1 damage, Level 15 gives 1,5 damage. Not affected by weapons. Train with scarecrows. First take 10 hits to destroy, second 100 hits. 1 hit - 25xp.

Defense efficiency - increase defense efficiency (ammount absorbed by defense) Train with samurai. 1 gold - 25 xp. e.g. You have 50% defense efficiency, mob hits you for 2, you lose 1 hp and 1 defense.

Defense parrying - increase defense parrying (ammount mitigated by defense) Kill Caporal. e.g. You have 50% defense efficiency and 50% defense parrying, mob hits you for 2, you lose 1 hp and 0,5 defense.

To talk to her you can't eat any firelies (Dont fight them). Each firefly you interact gives you Sword of mana +6% to a sum of +60%. After killing her, you get Firefly queen blood.

To talk to him you must talk (just once ever) to Puzzled Spirit! (you need Necromancer buff level 1). This allows you to pass throught the boxes. Now you need to hurry and kill assasin in under 8000 (not sure) mana from begining of loop. Each stash gives 10 gold.

so does the wine buff on the necromancer make her actions cost more or less? 70 familiarity just to make things harder in the name of 1 achievement seems a waste...

I'm curious as to why the hydras dont hava a drop/affinity? Is it just to make you focus on firebats in the firefly zone?

Chancellor's stash locations, for those who want to save effort (not in unlock order):
Starting screen, two tiles left of start position
Starting screen, one tile north-east of the bonfire
Starting screen, one tile south-west of the mineshaft
Drunk guard screen, one tile south-east of the observatory
West town screen, one knights move north-north-east of the priest

Thank you, you have confirmed my first suggestion, that it was a bug or glitch. As regards killing the assassin and talking to the chancellor, I am able to those actions on a separate sort of run from the main grinding sort of run. Because of the urgency of killing the assassin, I cannot get the gold to buy potions, and need to use the rodent cape. But I never use the rodent cape on the main sort of run, a point on which you seem to disagree. And since the opportunity to kill the assassin is due to a bug, I've postponed doing any more of those runs till I meet the necromancer.

Puzzled spirit was buged. He was visible before you learned necro buff.
Now its fixed.
I told you to check my guide cos im pretty sure you dont buy mana potions when your mana is out after assassin kill.

I have checked my game to see if the necromancer tile had become the slightest bit visible: it has not, but neighbouring tiles are, and it might still be the case that the necromancer tile was explored enough so that the ability to see the Puzzled Spirit was activated. If this is the case, then merely some degree of exploration of the necromancer tile is all that is required to trigger it, and not the necromancer buff.

I have just checked your guide, and perhaps read it more thoroughly than I should have done, since it is fully of spoilers. Knowing now where the necromancer is to be found, I should mention that I had explored the screen where the necromancer is in as far as my character was able to go, i.e. as far as the first hydra, and interacted with all the observatories which it could reach.
