The Softlock - 3 Easy Steps!

STEP 1:
Travel to the fountain area near the foundation, and go to the left of Leif's house.

STEP 2:
Hop onto the spring to get onto the top of the house.
From here, jump off the house and hold left. You should land
on top of the tree from the first image.

STEP 3:
Move towards the back of the tree and slide off.

Voila! Enjoy eternal anguish! As far as I can tell, there is no
way to escape. Believe me, I tried desperately.

In conclusion, the devs should hire me as a playtester.

I found a way to somewhat softlock myself
I entered the honey factory with 1 health on all bugs, 0 tp, on the no level up challenge code, and did this all on accident btw.
I couldn't beat the normal combats to get berries to heal, I couldn't progress because I would die to a required fight, I just had to reset my save file

They fixed the Honey Factory thing and added an invisible wall to that tree.

The Honey Factory cutscene seems to be unique, as in most cutscenes the party just teleports int place after long enough. I experienced this on accident when putting down the Moon Offering, but Kabbu just warped to his spot.

NB FOR THE BELOW POST: Turns out that specific wall in Golden Path just has bad collision when it comes to projectiles. Oddly enough, this bad collision does not apply to the sloped part. Me saying that it was the sloped wall was wrong.

Whilst trying to perform another softlock, I found a strange glitch. Apparently, sometimes when the Beemerang catches an item
(I did this with the guaranteed Clear Water bush at the start of golden path), it can get mostly clipped into a sloped wall.

Opening the menu will delete the Beemerang, leaving the item OOB. I think this could lead to a softlock if you clipped a key item.

I found a way to pick the main softlock.

STEP 1
Go into the corner behind the cup house.

STEP 2
Use the Ant Compass.

If you don't have the Ant Compass, you're buggered.
