ESC NEXT: Overwrites: 6x System Scale

Beskrivning
Extra Ship Components NEXT
Overwrites: 6x System Scale

This is addon for Extra Ship Components NEXT that reduces ranges of all weapons added by ESC NEXT by the factor of 6. Speed of missiles and strikecrafts has likewise been reduced.

This addon is meant to be used with Real Space - Ships in Scaling Lite OR Real Space - Ships in Scaling Hard OR other galaxy rescale mods with factor of 6.

@NHunter I get it. but newer folks (and there are a lot of us) only see "made for another version" pop up with PDX's launcher, and with "FILO", warning indicators = badbadthing. Heh.

I completely agree with your reasoning. My point isn't that the mod is bad, but a wider audience is always a better thing, eh? :steamhappy:

@DaViper, this particular mod is just a bunch of overwriting scripted variables for ESC, so it has no expiration date (unless Stellaris changes sufficiently enough that scripted variables in their current state no longer work) and is updated as needed to update the list of overwritten variables.

I suppose I can push metadata update to change the 'game version', but I've been way too lazy to do that as there has been no need for actual content updates of this mod since, as you point out, 3.12

Looking to add ESC 'stuff' to the next campaign, and I AM using RS4.0 + RS-SS + RS-SiS.

The problem with the mod description is that it is waaaay out of date. "lite and hard" are now options within a single mod for instance for the latest versions of RS.

This is also reporting out of date as of V3.12. For the newer types that have been scolded hard on Discord about 'out of date' mods, it would be nice to see these things updated.

do I need this if I'm only using system scale and not ships in scaling?

Do you need this if you only use real space system scale and not ship scaling?

no, it's just a bunch of scripted variables. it only needs updating if I new ones.

Does this need any update for 4.0?

Anyone ever fixed the acceleration bug? It must be some kind of missing link in the upgrade path or something no?

Will this still work with the latest updates to Real Space - Ships in Scaling and Extra Ship Components?

I don't understand it either. I tried to change the values in the "shipsinscaling_events" file in different ways. I didn't get a result. Tested the engines now. Cruising speed is preserved from the engine with which the ship was built, when upgrading / downgrading even with vanilla engines.
