@ToastyRickJR: I didn't claim it was a bad weapon, merely that it's in my opinion one of the weaker weapons in the sandbox. Comparatively lengthy time to kill, requiring great precision, and being extremely punishing of missed shots (especailly with its small heatsink) makes it much trickier to use well, and for a beginner to intermediate player like this guide is designed for, I would advise against it.
@Studio Kimchi: I didn't know that about the carbine! I assumed the tracking was proximity-based and not reticle based. Thank you for the correction! I didn't include the Mangler's TTK as while it can be a viable weapon at range, new players should focus much more heavily on its close-range application as that's where it truly shines.
The Disruptor will kill in eight shots immediately, but will kill in six shots through the DoT if all six rounds land within a few seconds of each other.
If you're too far for melee, the Mangler will kill in four bodyshots or two bodyshots & a headshot. The projectile is relatively fast for a projectile so minimal leading is needed until longer ranges.
