1. Launch the PrivateServerTool.exe located in <Game Directory>/PrivateServerTool
   
2. Configure the settings as you see fit; Change the port to 4 digit ports to fix Steam Error (IE 5888 and 5889)
   
3. Once your server settings are done; hit save. This will create an ini file with your server parameters. Save this for later.
   
4. Click "Start Server" This will generate a .bat file for you to launch your server!
   
5. Launch the server using the .bat file created by the program. Once the server loads, shut it down by hitting Ctrl-c in the server window.
   
6. Open the INI file from earlier and copy the contents.
   
7. Browse to <Game Directory>/WindowsPrivateServer/MOE/Saved/Config/WindowsServer
   
8. open the "GameUserSettings.ini" file and paste the contents of the original INI at the bottom.
   
9. Relaunch the server

RCON is a protocol that allows server administrators to remotely execute commands. For MoE RCON will only accept access from the local server.

• Port - In the ShutDownServicePort
  
• Default Pass - 123456

In your startup script add the following:

1. Change RCONPort to your desired port
   
2. Change ServerIP to your Desired IP (I highly recommend leaving this as 127.0.0.1 however if you configure it for your private or public IP, you will be able to access it outside of the server)
   
3. Change <Password> to a password of your choice (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Default is 123456)

If you did not setup RCON using the above information, the below contains defaults
MCRCON is used as the example

1. Download your RCON utility of choice (my favorite is MCRCON)
   
2. Connect to your server:
   mcrcon.exe -H 127.0.0.1 -P <ShutDownServerPort> -p 123456 -t
   
3. You should be connected, type Q to quit!
   

• ShutdownServer - Shuts server down
  
• SaveWorld - Saves the server
  
• KickOff <SteamID> - Kicks a user
  
• SetBlackList <SteamID> True/False - Sets Ban...allegedly
  
• GetPlayers - Throws memory errors and crashes the server

In-game console can be accessed with "~" but it requires admin rights

You can set yourself as admin in the PserverTool using your Steam64ID (Comma Separated List)
If you are unsure of your Steam64ID you can find it here [steamid.io]

- You need to Edit your BAT or Startup Script as follows:

#5 - XYZ Setting Doesn't Exist on Nitrado/GPORTAL/GTX
- You need to reach out to your provider to give you that option. There's nothing anyone here can do as to configure these you need to set the startup script.

3. INI Configurations are not used in the way we are used to. All settings are set via the Startup Scripts for Dedicated Servers & Shared Hosting
   
4. Cloudflare's DNS has issues locating MoE Registration Servers (1.1.1.1) (Unknown if this is fixed or not)
   
5. No Alliance functions on Dedicated Servers
   
6. No Rankings on Dedicated Servers
   
7. No In-game Mail on Dedicated Servers
   
8. No Battlegrounds on Dedicated Servers
   
9. Tick Rate is hard capped to 10; down from 30.
   
10. No Markets (Fair) on Dedicated Servers
    
11. Issues with Nitrado and GPORTAL Hosting: Servers are not saved properly when Shutdown or Rebooted on these shared hosts. You need to run In-game command "cheat SaveWorld"; wait 30-45 seconds; then shutdown your server. Otherwise you will run into Map Corruptions and lose Guilds/Buildings or the entire server itself. Player Data is saved separately so it should always be safe.
