They don't need to get you, the infection will.

Replying to CR-Teeny, Charger would've been a savior in this scenario. He would knock around all the infected and probably would kill some of them by mistake. You'd be able to walk out freely if you have enough stamina to run away from the charger.

Until you have anysort of melle weapon like board, lead pipe, or machete, you are ok since these are weapons making side swings, hitting more enemies at 1 hit, + it is light weapon means, pretty fast and you are moving still, not like sledgehammer, that you must stay in place, making you easy target, when going against those skinny fast zombies, and you have the avtiviral soo you dont have to worry about the charging puker, what i would do right now, if i wouldnt know if i can throw some sort of grenade or something like that i would go out, make few swing, if something would try to charge, go and make dodge a bit, and then fight until you have anysort of melle weapon, or their numbers soo low so you can get them with punches.

Only i realised i can throw Molotovs through small window on door.
