You have to use a mouse the octopus ship and a decently high level of the main cannon. When you are in one of the stages you can hold the left or the right mouse button and spam the other one. Be careful though it can explode you if you don't stop for awhile, the ship will start to glow, you will know when to stop when the ship starts to blink.
