So you're probably wondering "then what does job level actually do?" Well what Job level actually does aside from getting you a rare weapon at max is:
Influence the number of hits when attacking.
Increases the chance of executing a Critical Hit.
Increases physical damage, Black Magic damage, White Magic recovery, Summon damage. attack power of bare-handed Monks/Black Belts, and also enhances the special abilities of certain Jobs.
Hope this clears up any confusion some of you might have wondering why your stats aren't increasing despite having a job level of 30+.
