By Galandrielle
This guide will help you on how to earn all the Merit Badges around Camp Tardicaca in Bring the Crunch DLC. There are six badges in total, and by getting them you upgrade and enpower the artifact Sash of Ultimate Merit you receive during the DLC. So, let's begin!

How to Start and First Badge
The badge side missions aren't unlocked immediately. You first need to buy the Bring the Crunch DLC (obviously), take the DLC bus, start and proceed the story until you unlock the Final Girl hero class and confront the monsters outside of the Forest Shack. When you defeat the monsters, you'll earn your first badge (Sleuthing).
After this, Fastpass will give you the badge missions to do, along with the Sash of Ultimate Merit. You can check the map on your phone if you feel lost, since Fastpass will also give you the locations of the badge missions.

Keep in mind that not all the badge missions can be done at once since not all areas are immediately accessible, you have to keep the story going (or end it) to be able to do all of them.
Baking
First things first, you need to find a Recipe book which is located inside the Mess Hall. As you enter the Mess Hall you can inspect a book on the left called "Cooking for the Handicapped"; turn to the S’mores page to learn about the ingredients that are needed: Chocolate Bars and Graham Crackers.
- Chocolate Bars are inside the Mess Hall, inside the vending machine left and at the back of the room. To get them, drag the red barrel from the counter over to the vending machine and place it next to the red crack. Use a Snack ‘N’ Pop to light the red barrel on fire and then throw a fart at it to blow it up, breaking open the machine with it. Loot it and get the Chocolate Bars from inside.
Note: Don't forget to use the TimeFart Glitch to restore the vending machine and the barrel, since you'll need them to be intact for the rest of the badge missions.
- Graham Crackers can be purchased from the vending machine at the Bus Stop for $2.50.

With the Chocolate Bars, Graham Crackers and S’mores Recipe in hand, go to the camp fire in the Camp Center. Here you’ll engage in a mini-game in which you need to fart on the fire to toast the marshmallows. Press the button prompt when in the yellow ring to toast away. Be careful, if you try to toast it too quickly, it will catch on fire! Press the subsequent button prompt to put it out. After successfully repeating this mini-game process a few times, you’ll receive item S’mores.

Return to Fastpass and he’ll hand over the Baking Badge, and the Sash of Ultimate Merit will be upgraded with the badge mission complete.

You can now play this mini-game as many times as you want to make S’mores and use them in combat, inside and outside of the DLC!
Disability Assistance
To complete this Badge mission, you’ll need to complete three very basic tasks to make the Camp Center area more disability accessible. These include the following:

- Clear the cracked sign from the ramp leading to the Mess Hall. Destroy this by punching it or throwing a Snack ‘N’ Pop at it.
- Move the wheelchair away from the door to the Shower Block. Simply grab it and pull it back in the direction of the camp fire to complete the task.
- Clean the Shower Block. You'll be able to do this after the "Investigate the Shower Block" objective is done during the story. Following the fight inside, clean up the three pieces of brain around the Shower Room to complete the task. The first two can be picked up normally, the third needs to be hit with a Snack ‘N’ Pop first.

Once you have completed all of the required tasks, return to Fastpass to complete the mission. For completing this Badge mission, the Sash of Ultimate Merit will be upgraded, and you’ll also earn the artifact Trailblazing Totem.
Native Heritage
To begin this badge mission, you first need to find a Recipe book or one of the ingredients required to make the Dreamcatcher Artifact. These can be found in the following locations (images taken from here[holdtoreset.com]):

- Dreamcatcher Artifact Recipe: This can be found in one of the tents at the Burial Ground. You get access to this location after you investigate it and complete the fight there during the story.
- 3x Crow Feathers: There are three Crows sitting on trees in the background along the path leading from the Misty Forest to the Burial Ground. (Υou may need to progress the story before you can use this path, more specifically during the "Investigate the Burial Ground" objective.) Hitting all three with a Snack ‘N’ Pop will have them fly off and drop a Crow Feather each onto the path below. (Getting rid of the Crows is also a requirement for the badge mission Paranormal Investigation and by extension Encounter at the Misty Forest.)

- 1x Old Shoelaces: On the left-hand side of the Misty Forest area, you’ll see some shoes hanging from a tree branch. Hit these with a Snack ‘N’ Pop to bring them down. Loot them for the Old Shoelaces.
- 1x Paper Plate: This is located in the Old Mine area, which is accessible via the hole in the floor of the Shower Room. (You can also go there during the side mission Encounter at the Old Mine.) The Plate is located in a lunchbox on top of a piece of red machinery at the far right end of the Old Mine. Hit the lunchbox with a Snack ‘N’ Pop to knock it to the ground and loot the Paper Plate.

Once you have all of the required items, enter the Crafting app on your phone and choose to craft the Dreamcatcher Artifact.
Return to Fastpass to complete the mission. For completing this Badge mission, the Sash of Ultimate Merit will be upgraded.
Marine Life
If you're trying to do the badge missions before completing the story, this is the last badge mission you'll be able to do, since you don't get access to the Lake Pier until you complete the penultimate boss fight (Nathan and Mimsy) somewhere close to the end of the story. After that, you are free to explore Lake Pier.

First, interact with the box of dynamite at the back of the pier. Here, you’ll need to launch sticks of dynamite outwards from the pier and attempt to hit the moving shadows in the water in the distance. Doing so will allow you to catch certain types of fish (you can also take selfies with them), but if you're unlucky, you'll get garbage like sticks and cans (which can be used as scraps).
Additionally, if you are lucky, you can also start a fight with some Crab People; defeating them will give you the Artifact Crustacean Modulator and $3.46. When you defeat them, the mini-game will end even if you haven't thrown all dynamites, however a Crab Person will be at the pier and you can take a selfie with him.

The goal of this badge mission, though, is to catch a Tardicaca Freshwater Shark. To do this, you will need to catch 3-4 fish so that a few pools of blood appear in the water, caused by the fish; once you have enough blood, the shark will be summoned into the area. Next, hit the shark with three sticks of dynamite (it will move progressively closer each time you hit it). After the third hit, you’ll catch it (and you're able to take a selfie with it). You will also receive the artifact Shark Mating Whistle.

Once you have caught the shark, return to Fastpass to complete the mission, and the Sash of Ultimate Merit will be upgraded.
Paranormal Investigation
This badge mission is actually made up of five individual side-missions located around Camp Tardicaca. In each mission, you’ll need to discover a Ghost, take a selfie of them for a hint as to an item/action that will help them out and then perform that action. Once you have done so successfully, return to the Ghost and take a selfie with them to reveal their true identity. Completing all five will complete the badge requirements.

The side-missions, which will be analyzed at the next sessions of this guide (and all the images will be from here[holdtoreset.com]), include:
- Encounter at the Camp Center
- Encounter at the Old Mine
- Encounter at the Misty Forest
- Encounter at the Bus Stop
- Encounter at the Boat House

After completing all five "Encounter" side-missions, return to Fastpass to complete the mission. For completing this Badge mission, the Sash of Ultimate Merit will be upgraded, and you’ll also earn the Spirit Board Recipe. (You can use this recipe to craft the item Spirit Board, and use it on combat, inside and outside of the DLC!)
Encounter at the Camp Center
The first ghost you can encounter if you're doing the badge missions and the story at the same time is the Ghost in the Camp Center, which can be found just to the right of the camp fire. Use Inspection Mode to reveal her location, before moving in close to take a selfie. This will show you a picture of a Haunted Doll, which is your clue. Go to the Mess Hall and do as follows:
1. On the right-hand side of the screen, by one of the benches, you’ll see the Haunted Doll. Attempt to pick this up and it will appear on a table on the left side of the room.
2. Hit the light above the table with a Snack ‘N’ Pop to have it fall and create a ramp. Climb this and attempt to grab the Haunted Doll... And it will move again, this time to the top of the vending machine at the back of the room. (This is why you had to restore it after taking the Chocolate Bars during the Baking Badge mission.)
3. To get on top of the vending machine, move the red oil barrel into the gap between the green canola oil container and the counter at the back of the room to create a set of stairs up to the counter. Use a Snack ‘N’ Pop on the drink machine here to move it out of the way. Climb the set of stairs you created and stand at the counter, but be careful not to get electrocuted! Use another Snack ‘N’ Pop on the Camp Tardicaca Mess Hall Sign overhead to create a ramp from the counter to the top of the vending machine. Grab the Haunted Doll here and it will vanish once again, only to reappear back in the center of the Mess Hall.
4. Get down and approach the Haunted Doll to pick it up (for real this time!).

Return to the Ghost in the Camp Center and take a selfie with her; Len Hamlich will be added as a follower on Coonstagram.
Encounter at the Old Mine
The second ghost you can encounter if you're doing the badge missions and the story at the same time is the Ghost to the Old Mine, which is accessible via the hole in the floor of the Shower Room. (You can also go there during the badge mission Native Heritage.)

Use Inspection Mode to spot the ghost and go there for a selfie; you will be prompted to find an item.
To do so, grab the mine cart nearby and push it onto the wooden platform to the right. Use a Snack ‘N’ Pop to destroy the support below this platform and then use the mine cart as a bridge to cross the pool.
On the far side of the water, destroy the cracked box by the back wall and then loot the bag beside it for the costume Bush Hat. Use Timefart Glitch to restore the box you just destroyed and then use it along with the oil crate as a set of stairs to reach the large brown crate here. Climb the ladder and loot the toolbox. Look up form this platform to see a hanging ladder above; hit it with a Snack ‘N’ Pop to lower it. Climb this and then walk to the left to find a Haunted Bird Cage.

After obtaining the Haunted Bird Cage, return to the Ghost for a Selfie; Milton Parker will be added as a follower on Coonstagram.
Encounter at the Misty Forest
The third ghost you can encounter if you're doing the badge missions and the story at the same time is the Ghost in the Misty Forest, which can be found just to the right of the shovel and hole where you met Fastpass and Mintberry Crunch earlier. Use Inspection Mode to reveal its location, before moving in close to take a selfie. This will show you a picture of some crows.

Make your way to the Tardicaca Burial Grounds and on the path leading there. (Υou may need to progress the story before you can use this path, more specifically during the "Investigate the Burial Ground" objective.) Look in the background to spot three crows sitting on tree branches. Hit all three with a Snack ‘N’ Pop to scare them away. (Note that you can also pick up the Feathers that the crows drop for the badge mission Native Heritage.)

Once you have gotten rid of all three crows along this path, return to the Ghost in the Misty Forest and take a selfie with him; Wayne Wilson will be added as a follower on Coonstagram.
Encounter at the Bus Stop
The fourth ghost you can encounter if you're doing the badge missions and the story at the same time is the Ghost in the Bus Station, which can be found just by the entrance of the path leading towards Camp Tardicaca. Use Inspection Mode to reveal her location, before moving in close to take a selfie. This will show you a picture of a video tape.

Continue the DLC story until you have access to the South Cabin ("Investigate the Psychic Disturbance").
Inside the South Cabin, near the far, right hand wall you’ll discover a video player with a Haunted VHS Tape sticking out of it. Grab it.

Return to the Ghost in the Bus Station and take a selfie with her; Lisa Jankowski will be added as a follower on Coonstagram.
Encounter at the Boat House
The fifth and final ghost you can encounter if you're doing the badge missions and the story at the same time is the ghost in the Boat House, which is accessible after you obtain the Boat House Key during the story ("Investigate the Psychic Disturbance").
As soon as you enter the Boat House, use Inspection Mode to reveal his location, before moving in close to take a selfie.

While in the Boat House, check out the back wall to spot a shelf. Hit its right side with a Snack ‘N’ Pop to lower it and create a ramp. Climb to the top of the ramp and position yourself on the metal shelves to the left. Use Timefart Glitch to restore the shelf to its original position. Head across it to the right to loot the shining object here for the costumes Yellow Duck Floatie, Swimming Cap and Swimming Goggles.

With these items in hand (you don't need to wear them), return to the Ghost in the Boat House and take a selfie with him; Ken Flannery will be added as a follower on Coonstagram.

NOTE: If you have collected the costumes needed in any older save and you're playing to a new save, you should have collected them again from your Toy Box in the main game (along with everything else you have collected from all DLCs you own). However, you MUST redo the steps described above and loot the shining object again. You will not get the costumes again, but it will count that you got them and you will be able to take a selfie with the ghost.
Badge Missions Complete
Once you complete all five badge missions and earn all five Merit Badges (six if you count the Sleuthing badge you earned at the start), you'll have fully upgraded the Sash of Ultimate Merit, and you’ll also earn the costumes Lil’ Ranger Suit, Lil’ Ranger Hat, Scout Uniform and Scout Cap.

Congratulations, you've earned all the badges! You might like camp as much as Jimmy!
...Actually no, nobody loves camp as much as Jimmy. ;P
