Introduction
In this guide I'm going to be talking about the effect your letters have on others. There's so much bad in this world and replying to people who are currently struggling is a selfless act that I'm sure thousands are grateful for. Some topics are more delicate than others so it's best to always take time and reflect on your words before you send them out. They're going to real people!
Mental Well-being
Understanding how your words can be interpreted is a great way to assist the person you're talking to. Mental health is such an important thing that needs to be looked after. Not only is looking after other people important it's also extremely important to find the time to look after yourself too. You matter just as much as the rest of us. With some requests you'll encounter people who are struggling severely with their own mental well-being. The best thing you can do in this situation encourage them that it'll be okay. If you've felt the same as the requester it could be comforting to tell them they are not alone and share some experiences.
Helpful tips
- Imagine it's your friend coming to you for help

- Take time to re-read your letter

- Make them feel understood

- Try not to push views on others

- Spread the love
Closing notes
I hope you've found something in this guide that you can apply to your own responses. Most importantly I hope you find the time to look after yourself. Don't forget to tell your friends you love them. You never know how much that'll mean to someone in a time of need. Caring for others on Kind Words is such an amazing act. Myself, as well as many others, are all so thankful. Keep being kind. You rock! <3
