You can try with vanilla network, see if the tunnel happens. If not, you can always have a small hill or something close to hide the connection area, if not ploppable surfaces to hide the segment in question.

Modified network behavior from noded to nodeless for 1 and 2 lane tracks. Both networks have now custom abutments that will also be used on other networks.
Supported junctions:
- single: regular, mainline, tunnel portals
- double: regular, mainline, tunnel portals
- quad: regular, mainline, tunnel portals
Partially supported junctions (lacks lattice truss mesh due to compatibility):
- single, double, quad: Bridges
Non supported junctions:
- Stations, as they are master overrides over all other nets.
