But yes, even with spamming in the end, it's possible to lose, but that's already noted in the guide :)
In the end, you only have a chance of hitting the fifth strike if the AI's random number generator decides to counter your fourth strike at the right time AND if it decides not to counter your fifth strike, because that is impossible to defend -- so in other words: this minigame is pretty much a slot machine and you simply have to accept the fact that it has nothing to do with skill or gitting gut, but merely turning off your brain and repeating this over and over again until the game's RNG decides that it is time for you to win -- which took about 15 minutes in my case.
