For those who have their game start up in Chinese. Quick guide for selecting server at the startup and changing the language from Chinese to English

Server select

When you start the game from Steam, the server selection menu comes up. The first option is the East Asia (Chinese) server, the second one is the North America server. It is recommended to select the NA server.

Note: when launched via shortcut, this screen doesn't come up and the game defaults to the Chinese server.

Desktop shortcut for NA server

To set the game to use the NA server when launched via the desktop shortcut:

-Right click on the game in Steam, and select Properties...
-In the GENERAL tab, in the LAUNCH OPTIONS field, add the following line

gj3_gates=52.173.25.223:2200 --fs=data:_index/303.idx:_index/303.idx

-Close the Properties... window

The next time you launch the game from the desktop shortcut, it should select the NA server automatically.

Options

In the main menu, select Options.

Preferences

Within Options, select the Preferences tab.

Language

In the Preferences tab, scroll down to the bottom to find the Language setting. Cycle it until English comes up.

Updated with info on selecting the NA server via the desktop shortcut.

The game stores your savefiles on the chosen server. The forums say the Chinese server have connectivity problems outside of China, and they recommend picking the NA server. I haven't actually tested it, I just picked the NA server, and it's been working fine.

Thanks, just buy it the game and this is helpful, one question, the game is offline, what is the difference between NA and ASIAN server ?

I cannot understand Why they make it so difficult! It is out of someones mind to put change language AFTER you need to navigate in other language !
